Download Link for High Quality Scans of Monster Hunter Size Posters (MHFU, MHP3, MH3G, MH4, MH4U, and MHX)
Click to access the download of 6 files (2.62 GB) with TransferNow
2.62 GB of the full high quality scans of the Monster Hunter size comparison posters for Freedom Unite, Portable 3rd, 3G/3U, 4, 4G/U, and X/Generations in PNG format.
Each poster is roughly 120cm x 31cm. The scans came out to be around 28,500 × 7,500 pixels. In PNG format is 400+mb which makes sharing the full images difficult. I used transfernow, as it is free and doesn't require a sign in. The link will have to be updated every 7 days. If you read this and the link to download the full images does not work please hit me up so I can reupload them.
Additionally, if anyone knows where other game posters are available for purchase please help me out. The only size comparison chart I know that was made into a poster is for MHXX/Generations Ultimate.
Please use and share the images however you like. Happy Hunting!
Monster Hunter Size Posters Scanned
Huge news! I was able to scan the monster size posters for MHFU, MHP3, MH3G, MH4, MH4U, and MHX. The pngs are roughly 28,000 x 8,600 pixels. Absolutely massive! I need help figuring out where to share these for the MH community to see. I am so excited for y'all to see them in full.
Guild Cards - Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (3DS)
Over the last year I have used the Pretendo network and Netpass on a modded 2DS and 3DS to collect StreetPass tags from people around the world. The 2DS has 3724 Tags with a Plaza Population of 2696 miis. The 3DS has 3744 Tags with a Plaza Population of 2765.
Through random chance and back alley encounters, guild card info from Monster Hunter games are also exchanged in the StreetPass info swap. I have saved a few of the notable hunters' cards and would like to share them here in celebration of their time and accomplishments in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on the 3DS.
The top hunters:
joserachi comes in with 44:55 hours played. The least amount of time of anyone shown here. They were able to make it to HR 25 in that time. Their preferred weapon was Long Sword with 136 hunts. The last time they played was 2024/03/27.
Senpai, a hunter added in a few weeks after the post was first written, made it to HR 7 in 122:22 hours. They used the hammer, dual blades, and switch axe. Their last recorded hunt was back in 2014.
Jeremy is the next hunter, they reached HR 6 in 151:23 hours. Jeremy used Dual Blades in 330 hunts. They played back on 2015/03/14.
The next hunter is Dhi, who similarly made it to HR7 in 154:30 hours. They used many weapons, including Great Sword in 127 hunts, SnS, Hammer, HH, SWaxe, LS, and DB. Dhi last played 2025/06/30.
The next hunter is avaris at HR 6, with 166:00 hours on the dot. avaris was a Great Sword main with 305 hunts. They last played 2024/06/22.
The following four hunters put in a considerable more time into hunts. The last of lower HR ranks, hunter Zeque made it to HR 6 while spending more time in game, a more impressive 244:49 hours. Zeque used Long Sword 262 times, and Dual Blades in 65 hunts. Zeque is the most recent hunter, with the previous save on 2026/01/29.
Similarly timed to the previous hunter, Arnold made it to HR 70 in 245:55 hours. Arnold managed to increase unity level to 136. Arnold was a Dual Blades main with 536 hunts. They last played back on 2015/02/08.
Hunter Luis made it to HR 68, and played for an impressive 630:19 hours. Luis played many weapons, starting with Switch Axe at 443, Great Sword in 281 hunts, and Gun Lance 180 times. Luis last played a few years ago, with the last save on 2023/09/04.
The top hunter in both Hunter Rank and time played was Tz who made it to HR 223 in 895:25 hours. Tz used Switch Axe in 580 hunts, Dual Blades 384 times, and Long Sword in 307 hunts. They last played only a few years ago on 2024/04/07.
My 2DS has 8 pages of guild cards saved in MH3U. Most hunters who have played any amount of time did not make it over HR1. Many cards are empty from people who own the game that haven't played. Since I have not hunted with any of these hunters it feels like I have heard tales of their exploits through the guild canteen. Their trials and tribulations spread through word of mouth. Or that's how I want it to feel. This post is in dedication to the preservation of their accomplishments. Once the guild card pages are filled, I will delete them all to make room for a new batch of hunters. Hunters that will have their own stories, with their own challenges overcome and logged, to be remembered by the guild.
Collection
Here is a glimpse of my collection of Monster Hunter merch. It's mostly a bookshelf worth of official strategy guides, lore books, anniversary and art books, physical EN/JP games, 3 jigsaw puzzles, PAX pins, themed handhelds, posters of monster sizes, a display tenugui, a few plushies, some shirts, and printed fan art.
A few angles of the Monster Hunter merch corner in my room. The books take up more room than available in the bookshelf. There are two stacks of unphotographed books on a couch nearby.
I have plans to frame and display every size chart in poster or puzzle format. There are currently 2 finished jigsaw puzzles, and one unsorted puzzle from MH4U to complete.
My plush crew are all helpers from the games. I would love to finish out the collection with a poogie, a moofah, a seikret, a cohoot, and anything not listed that fits the same description.
I had the honor of meeting Mr. Monster Hunter himself, Ryozo Tsujimoto, at PAX West 2024 for the promotion of Monster Hunter Wilds. I brough my grimalkyne plush and the 20th Anniversary Super Encyclopedia to be signed. Ryozo was very happy when I offered him the plush to hold for the photo moment. I hope to meet other devs in the future to have them sign the same book.
Introduction
Howdy hunters, Monster Hunter is my favorite game series of all time. It's fun, makes you feel cool, has a rewarding game loop, and has a lot of goofy charm. The biology, ecology, and design of each monster is what got me interested in the first place. I'm here to enjoy Monster Hunter with y'all.
My first Monster Hunter game was MH4U on my 2DS. I hated the controls and only played a few hours before giving up. A few years later I picked up World just before Iceborne dropped and fell in love. After 150 hours in World and early Iceborne I sunk an equal amount of time into Generations Ultimate.
Monster Hunter Rise/Sunbreak were the first games I experienced the full marketing and update period of, and for that I will love them, just as I love World and Iceborne for being my first true MH experience.
Since last year I have put in over 300 hours into Wilds. Genuinely never thought I would ever play that much of a base game. I played on PS5 to avoid the technical problems on the PC side. A few days ago Capcom pushed an update that optimized settings for the Steam Deck that makes it entirely playable. Not sure when I will replay the game, but it is inevitable since the Steam Deck is capable of playing every MonHun game via emulation.
Tallied up my hours in different Monster Hunter games and realized that as much as I love the series my total play time is relatively low by MH standards.
MHWI PC - 146:11 MHRS Switch - 106:37 MHGU Switch - 140:00 MHRS PC - 272:27 MHWI PS4 - 46:54 MH4U 3DS - 110:53 MHWi PS5 - 312 ~1135 hours total
I have also been playing Monster Hunter Stories 2 off and on since it came out. With MHS3 coming out in a matter of weeks, it would be great to finish the game. I am pretty excited with what they have showed so far in previews.
My first weapon choice was insect glaive, since my biggest gripe initially was the (perceived) lack of movement. I finished World and into a decent chunk of Iceborne before trying out Great Sword and Hammer. Once I learned how satisfying knocking out monsters was, hammer became my main and carried me from Iceborne, GU, Rise, Sunbreak, and into Wilds. When Wilds hit, I knew it was time to give more weapons a shot, since my older complaints of movement were not really relevant ir even accurate anymore. Once I picked up the lance and guarded through some heavy hits, there was no turning back. I probably used a lance/hammer combo 90% of Wilds. Eventually I will post my guild card information to confirm.
Copied and edited from bluesky posts from last year.
