A heavy sigh escapes from Tohru as she slumps against a nearby wall, her expression one of absolute defeat. She had spent the day running about the city, desperately trying to figure out where she was and how to get back homeā And it ended in complete, utter failure.Ā
āI donāt know what to doā¦ā She rubs at her arms, chilled from the night air.Ā āWithout anyone here, Iāmāā Totally useless.Ā
Her head drops, and so does her heart. Without the Sohmas, Uo, and Hana. what was she going to do? They were her strength, and she canāt hold herself up for long without them. Itās selfish for her to wish that someone end up here with her, especially when there were so many unknown risks lurking about in the depths. But she still wishes, just for a second.Ā
A sob catches her attention then, just loud enough for her to hear over the other sounds of the night life. She follows it without hesitation, around a corner and a few more steps until she spots the crying man.
āAh!ā Quickly closing the distance between them, Tohru looks the other up and down for any signs of injury.Ā āAre you alright, sir? Please, donāt cry⦠Iām here to help.ā
Even if she is confused, alone, and useless, she would not stop being kind.
all it took was just a few short moments of crying to attract exactly the type of person he wanted. there was something so fundamentally off about young women that made them want to comfort others, to wipe away tears and fix problems. not just women, of course; the demon had met plenty of weak-willed men who came to offer a helping hand, stayed because of his kind eyes and sweet nothings, and never left him.Ā
so very generous of the positive people of the world to stay by his side and become a part of his life forever!
āOh?ā Douma looks towards the stranger, rainbow eyes sparkling with tears that threatened to continue spilling. young and gentle, peace practically radiated from her. the concerned, yet somewhat far away look in her eyes made him want to grin from ear to ear-- but, he was sad right now, so that wouldnāt do. to help a man in the middle of the night with absolutely no apprehension at all...idiotic. he mightāve hit the jackpot.Ā āIām...Iām fine,ā he sniffles for dramatic effect,Ā āJust...lost and confused and feeling useless. You know, those days where everything goes wrong.ā
