not sure if youve touched on this, but because you brought up that kris feels that the fun gang like, doesnt actually know /them/ do you think theyd try to distance themself from susie if they were to be freed from the soul? like they would be hesitant to try and befriend her cause theyre not the heroic, well spoken person she thought they were? and how would susie deal with that?

i tend to think like they try and distance themselves but like. are really bad about it. like they’re like “it’s better if susie only gets to see the SOUL, she doesn’t need to deal with this” and then susie texts them at midnight like “sup” and they get into a three hour long conversation about b horror movies and how best to get away w taking all the grocery store samples because like. kris is a lonely kid who needs Someone to talk to in those long dark hours lit only by soul-glow, yknow? and susie is There. so even if they feel guilty and like theyre taking advantage of a lie, they dont really stop

so when kris is finally like ‘you dont even KNOW me you know THEM’ to susie susie’s like ‘i can list your top five they might be giant songs and explain why you switch the order of am i awake and thinking machine on a weekly basis’

What’s wrong with the headspace forest? You don’t have to answer if you’re not comfortable

Oh no I’ve got it all pre-typed up for you: “I don’t know...it’s never happened before. I’ve said (I think) that the forest is pretty dangerous, it holds extremely destructive persecutors and bad memories. I have my theories - Himiko lives in a little town somewhat northeast of the forest, and she’s been around more as of late (to question my status as host apparently). Another is that the accumulation of stress, change, and recent breakdowns over discovering small hints of trauma could have brought it closer to our consciousness. Whatever’s going on, I don’t really like it. Alters from the forest are walking out for the first time...ever? I think. And I don’t want any of them hurting us - I don’t exactly have the time to talk to them with everything going on. I’ll have to appoint protectors to the borders and reinforce the curfew for younger alters. ...As well as consult cilan, our forest guardian. Of course, our planes have been almost merging in the past year to the point of being able to hazily communicate with alters from other layers once the frontal lobe starts to power down for the night, but that’s an entirely separate matter. Basically, I’m busy.”
