I've always struggled with the concept of self love. To me, love needs an object. How can I love myself when I am the lover? I am the eye and the eye cannot see itself. It almost feels like I need to have a separate self which I can love independently. This has led to a pervasive sense of neutrality. I neither like nor dislike myself, because I am myself. I am an object of self study, but those other emotions never made sense to me.
Do you love yourself? How do you conceptualize yourself in a way that allows you do this? What is that experience like?
