Impressive! Speaking through me like god with a prophet then?
Rewatched Goncharov (1973) and did a few studies of my favourite scenes
Stop raising your daughters to be damsels in distress.
It's the parent's fault for teaching her to prioritize her looks, putting her in sandals in the rain, and raising her different than your son.
RAISE YOUR DAUGHTERS AND SONS THE SAME. Gender roles start before conception when you choose to buy your female fetus bows and tell her as a newborn how pretty she is, versus buying your male fetus sensible shit like teething rings and telling him as a newborn how tough he is.
I'm sick of seeing girls call themselves princesses and being groomed to be pathetic and 100% dependent on males.
The organ is “completely ignored by pretty much everyone,” medical experts say, and that omission can be devastating to women’s sexual healt
Horrifying that the clitoris isn't part of any medical fields, but not surprising. These women have completely lost their ability to orgasm during routine successful surgery. Trans surgeons are going in completely blind and discovering new details of the clitoris simply because no one else has bothered to examine it.
many biomedical contraceptives also affect sexual function. even short term use can chance the shape of the labia and shrink the clitoris. when you’re on it for a year or a few years, the average amount of shrinkage is about 30%, and in the study this figure is from, ALL of the women experienced some degree of shrinkage.
If you take birth control pills and can’t figure out why your vagina is like the Sahara Desert in spite of being 25 years old and totally in
Among the components of a healthy life, sexuality is essential, contributing to both the psychophysical and social well-being of women and,
You might have heard before on the grape vine that hormonal contraceptives can lower your libido. Although your doctor will go to great leng
because there’s so little research on it, it seems unclear whether and to what extent the clitoris can “regrow” after taking contraceptives, or how the nerves are affected, or at what point you should expect sexual function to return. also, many young women start some form of BC before they’re 20, when sexual function is not yet fully developed and the cycle has not reached its mature pattern (often it’s girls with PCOS or amenorrhea or another menstrual irregularity, which may make them even more susceptible to these effects).
discussing the harms that can result from contraception still feels like a taboo topic, even though it’s something i’ve been talking about and personally dealing with for years. there are many other harms that can result from going a long time without ovulating, but sexual function is one that’s barely discussed, and beyond anecdotal experiences here and there of lower libido on BC, i don’t see women talking about it.
we deserve contraception that’s SAFE and EFFECTIVE, and the FDA approval guidelines don’t even necessitate that a product/device meets those at a high level. i’ve read transcripts from these approval meetings, and it’s all about “having as many options on the market as possible,” treating patients as consumers and doctors as expert salespeople who will help them find the right product. so if a birth control is unsafe and has a lower pearl index score (used to rate efficacy of contraception) but it’s been shown to prevent acne, you bet it’s going on the market! i’m not exaggerating with this, this is how these meetings go, and without even getting into the sketchy ass pharmaceutical representative system of introducing medications/technologies to doctors, i think it’s safe to say this is predatory and harmful.
i will probably make more posts about contraception soon - its awful history, the ways it’s harmed women over the years, notable developments, and the medical issues that are absolutely still a problem today. when we “turn off” ovulation for months or years on end, our bodies run into a lot of problems that we’re not physically equipped to handle. it makes us sick, puts us at risk for osteoporosis, heart disease, blood clots, numerous mental health issues, insulin resistance/prediabetes, and so on. i think as radfems this is a topic we should all be very concerned about, learning more about from various angles, and discussing together. contraception is incredibly important, it’s our right, but we should be able to access it without worrying about our safety!
I think if you throw paint on somebody for wearing a fur coat you should be 100 percent ready to die like accepted the fact that you have put yourself into a situation where someone could kill you. Like you cannot go around doing shit like that and not expect to get ur shit rocked like be for real.
i could take anyone that wears fur in a fight. i would kick their ass

transactivism caught on so fast because it created acceptable ways for straight liberals to just outright admit that they think feminists are shrill and annoying and that gay people are kind of icky without feeling a shred of guilt for it
They legit think their movement caught on so quickly because it's good and it just shows how out of touch they really are.
Oppressed peoples don't get legislation passed or language changed that quickly. They don't have the ability to get someone fired for disagreeing with them. They can't threaten their oppressors the way trans people threaten "terfs" because there's actually consequences for us.
If people of color threatened white people that way, or women threatened men that way, or if gay people threatened straight people that way, we would not get away with it, let alone be cheered on by "progressives" and the government.
Trans people are not oppressed, and the fact that everyone goes out of their way to listen to and validate them at the expense of everyone else literally proves that.
sometimes I see pictures from when I was younger and it makes me wonder why I spent so much time hating myself. sweet little baby me. I was still growing. I was still learning. I was still getting used to my own skin. I didn’t deserve that
I seriously doubt that straight men feel any actual love towards women. They never make cheesy text posts about how great and beautiful women are. They never defend women, never say "but women go through this too!", Never defend their girlfriend's name when their friends talk shit about her. Straight men, widely, just don't love women, just don't care for them, and women run and jump to defend them. It's sickening.
A reminder:
Much can be learned about how males see romance vs how females see romance by looking at how most male authors write women vs how most female authors write men.
my main problem with the word “queer” is that you can’t identify as queer without reference to what you’ve decided is “normal”. you must constantly refer back to “normal” sexuality, “normal” gender expression, in order to set yourself apart as “not that”.
if you’ve ever had a nagging suspicion that “queer theory” and right wing traditionalism were secret butt-buddies, know that when “queers” define themselves as the one class of people who don’t adhere to “normal” gender roles and sexual practices, they reify and perpetuate hetersexuality and gender-conformity as the only “normal” way to be.
because if loving members of your own sex and having traits culturally associated with the opposite sex WAS normal… then what would be “queer”?
