Bellflower by Korres: New favorite ✨clean girl✨ everyday fragrance

I am a lover of the Korres fragrances, especially everyday fragrances. And this one along with White Tea (a review is coming as well) have become new faves, actually, they have replaced Lefko.

Bellflower smells delightful! Fresh, green, pretty delicate, and feminine but with a spiciness and edge to it. I would consider it a very safe and people-pleaser perfume, but in no way boring.

Notes: Top notes are Bergamot and Pink Pepper; middle notes are Bellflower, Iris and Tea; base notes are Cedar, Musk and Vetiver.

It is a green, citrusy, fresh spicy floral perfume. It has a very clean smell, but not soap-like, not spa-energizing uplifting smell at all. This is in the opening, the dry down is almost powdery, slightly creamy and woody, warm. It is a very snuggly skin scent that clings to the skin after the green floral brightness dies down.

Easily an everyday all-season day fragrance. The sillage is medium, pretty decent for an EDT of that price and type of scent. Now longevity is tricky. The spicy fresh, floral, citrusy green perfection lasts for about 3-4 hours, but the dry down clings to clothes, hair, and skin as well, maybe the sillage is not good after the dry down but it's definitely still there for a solid 8h. Korres have a body lotion as well, so I want to try them together and see.

All in all the scent is a 9/10 for me!

All of Me by Narciso Rodriguez is not ✨that girl✨ but she is cute

I am a huge Narciso Rodriguez fan, I think the house has given us some of the best perfumes and some of the most iconic as well, I have never smelled anything bad from the house, they do align with my preferences that much. My signature smell is the Narciso Poudree my favorite so far from the For Her line is Musc Noir and I also believe that men's perfumes from the house are severely underappreciated as well, so imagine my shock when All of Me came out and the negative reviews started to flow. I hadn't had the opportunity to smell it for myself so I put a sample immediately when I found it online some days ago and I have to say, that I understand but also don't understand the excessive dragging of this fragrance and I kinda feel for her. Most people were comparing it to their favorite fragrance from the house especially the For Her line and I think this is where All of Me lost, but there was no reason for a battle either. I can understand people comparing, but the perfume is a stand-alone and not in the For Her line and this is why I will try to rate it as a stand-alone but also compare it 😂

Notes: white peony, geranium bourbon, rose centifolia, heart of musc, sandalwood

So, All of Me is a very flowery fresh perfume. It is pretty but nothing extraordinary. At the opening personally got more magnolia than peony as listed in the notes of the official NR site and I am not the only one as I have seen. I get a very prominent fresh magnolia smell and after it sets the rose and the geranium come forth as well and it continues to be a very fresh flowery perfume, I don't get synthetic, I don't get creamy or woody I only get a very fresh, very flowery, but light floral not at all screechy or heavy and slightly powdery smell, but the minuscule powder I get it is from the flowers and not from the musk. The iconic Narciso heart of musc is kinda non-existent. Even after it completely sets the wood and the musk are not present, I personally cannot detect them maybe if I stick my nose to my wrist I can smell a tiny bit of the musk, but the sandalwood not at all. The perfume is a very light flowery scent, that is very fresh, it is not a bad smell at all, it is actually quite pretty, but with not much depth or longevity. I know people who have issues with NR and longevity in many perfumes but I never had an issue, the perfumes last, it is just that the sillage, especially after some time, is very very intimate and I personally like this, here the longevity is an issue, the perfume after around 3-4 hours was not there it was not the intimate sillage. The absence of the sandalwood and the musk have hurt the longevity and the depth of the fragrance even if the smell itself is dainty and pretty.

Unlike many NR perfumes is not for every season imo, it is more of a spring perfume, and maybe for a very crisp, sunny, bright, winter morning as well. It's not a For Her, Pure Musc, or Musc Noir that I would easily wear all year around and is not as sexy, delicate, and creamy as the Poudree that I love and wear again all day and all year around because I love the smell this much. It is not even the very flowery For Her Fleur Musc, which is very very floral, but has depth and gives a very beautiful powdery cleanness among all the roses. The thing is that . . . it shouldn't be because the perfume is not in the For Her or the Narciso line. The perfume's biggest flaw is the longevity and the lack of depth I think with a slight reformulation, to make the musk and the wood prominent after some time, people would actually give an equal amount of love to this fragrance as they do for other NR perfumes.

Smell: 6.5 -> It is a very fresh, delicate, dainty, pretty floral. I would give more if I could smell the musk and the sandalwood, but I can't so...

Longevity: 3 -> Three hours, three points

Sillage: 5 -> For as long as the perfume is there the sillage is not that bad or intimate, for sure people on the other side of the table won't smell you, but the person next to you might give a compliment for the cute flowery scent. It's not Poudree where people first smell me and then see me for example.

If you like a very light, fresh, watery spring crispy perfume and you don't care about the longevity that much, give it a shot.

Supreme Vanilla Eau De Parfum: Dark Academia Perfection

Imagine being in the most beautiful old library reading a book that smells of paper and ink, the place is full of wooden tables and bookcases and you have fresh vanilla biscuits with you. This is how this perfume smells.

Zara perfumes are so good and even better if we consider how affordable they are and this one is by far my favorite. It doesn't have an olfactory pyramid, the notes are linear, something that makes every note have pretty much the same intensity throughout its run.

Notes: Tonka beans, cedarwood, Madagascar vanilla, and pink sugar with inky notes.

As the name suggests, it is a vanilla perfume at its core and is the main note, everything else is to add more character to it. The second most prominent note is by far the ink. In a lot of reviews, I have seen people describe the smell as "wet ashtray" and even though I understand where this is coming from I do not agree exactly. Yes, there is something that resembles an ashtray, but in a good way? I don't know how to explain it, but the smell is almost comforting. The ink smells exactly like an ink pad my grandfather had and along with the velvety almost tobacco-like/almondy smell of the tonka beans gives a kick that personally I find soooo good. It is a mysterious, sophisticated, and dark vanilla and I love an interesting vanilla. The cedarwood and the sugar are supporting roles here, I cannot identify that is cedar I smell but with time there is an aromatic woodiness that lingers on my skin and the sugar adds sweetness all around, which this perfume needs imo.

It is a juggernaut as far as longevity goes and even more as sillage goes. This thing smells A LOT, and for days on my clothes, but it isn't clogging at all. To explain how impressed I am with it, I was wearing it in a bar I go to quite often and the place is very small, more often than not extremely crowded, and people can smoke inside, and I still got questions on what perfume I wear because those around me could smell it, something that is not a thing in that place.

Something that I also didn't expect (bc the reviews I had read were a mixed bag) is how much of a people's pleaser it is, especially men. Every time I wear it I get questions on what I wear, bc they like it yes, but also bc they want to get it, so at least the people around me find it as unisex as they come, something that I also agree with. I can see everyone wearing it and even all day, just not in summer. I haven't tried it on very warm/hot days yet, but the vibe doesn't give summer at all.

Musc Noir For Her by Narciso Rodriguez: One of the Best Day, Office, "My Skin But Better" Scents Out There

Notes: Plum, Musk, Heliotrope, Suede

I recently purchased some samples of many different perfumes and also added a sample of Musc Noir For Her by NR, one of the very few Narciso perfumes I hadn't smelled, and yes, I like this one as well. It is a "my skin but better" fragrance, a "no-perfume" perfume. It is by far the most toned down from the For Her collection, it has a fruitness from the plum in the opening, but not juicy-like, but jam plum after some minutes it becomes very slightly flowery and vanilla-y with the slightest touch of almonds and after an hour or two it settles down in the most gorgeous skin-like powdery, creamy musk with suede. If someone wants a clean perfume without the soapy/deodorant/shampoo feeling you are here. I have seen people complain about longevity, but I don't think it's the issue here. I could still smell it for a solid 7 hours after I sprayed it on myself, BUT the sillage is very very intimate. VERY intimate, put your nose on my skin intimate, I could smell it on me, but people around me didn't give it any thought except if they were extremely close to the point of touching me. And this is where Noir comes into play I think. When I first sprayed it on I was so confused with the name Noir, which inclines you towards a darker/ night perfume and this ain't it, but it is an intercourse perfume for sure. It smells so good and so clean and skin-like creamy powder, but also sweet and slightly fruity, that if you are intimate with someone it will be detectable and they will enjoy it. It is Noir because it's perfect for personal night activities, not for a night out and the bottle/color I think supports that, white/rosy/nude, sheer, undetectable, and sleek. Loved it, my favorite from the For Her line, I am thinking of a bigger bottle. Not for people who want statement perfumes, perfumes that cling, and perfumes with sillage.

Best Clean Girl scent: Lefko by Korres

Zoologist Part 3: Bee

Embarking on the fragrant voyage of this elixir was akin to stepping into an artist's canvas, a masterpiece meticulously painted with strokes of olfactory brilliance. The opening act, an instant immersion into the photorealistic world of honey and beeswax, resonated with a spellbinding enchantment. A jar of honey materialized with each spritz, rendering the experience akin to a bewitching act of alchemy rather than a mere perfume application.

As the aromatic tale unfolded, an hour on the skin ushered in the emergence of subtle bitterness, reminiscent of propolis, offering a soothing illusion—perhaps a placebo, yet comforting. Concurrently, beeswax asserted its presence, not as an extract but as an intrinsic part of the composition, amplifying the fragrance's already potent allure. The evolving symphony continued to captivate, weaving an intricate narrative of balsamic notes, delicate florals, and the subtle dance of resins and incense.

The unyielding intensity of the honey is too much for my personal taste. Despite this, the profound appreciation for the next-level artistry invested in this fragrance prevails. It is an adventure adventure, even though not tailored to my individual preferences, is an homage to the creative genius behind the bottle—a work of art in its own right.

Zoologist Part 2: Harvest Mouse

Following the release of this perfume, there were claims that it was considered a "safe" addition to Zoologist's collection. However, I beg to differ. Harvest Mouse, in my perspective, is far from being 'uninspired' or a 'compromise' for commercial gains. Zoologist, in curating its aromatic menagerie, never bound itself exclusively to audacious or unconventional fragrances. Instead, the brand masterfully crafts scents that authentically capture the essence of diverse creatures, even those with a milder disposition. Harvest Mouse stands as a testament to this and defies the notion that safety equates to a lack of creativity. It is a nuanced olfactory creation that artfully captures its animal.

One of the most unique takes on vanilla I have ever experienced, a vanilla drenched in beer and sprinkled with hay. The subtle beer note lends an anthropomorphized quality to the fragrance, harmoniously aligning with its animal. This scent evokes an image of a mouse that ventures beyond the fields, forging connections with humans, perhaps engaging in a friendly game of cards at the pub on a crisp autumn day.

A beautiful, trip a love story that captivated me is the delightful unpredictability of Harvest Mouse—it seamlessly aligns with my senses without ever succumbing to monotony. While it exudes coziness and a hint of sweetness, it unfurls on my skin with cheeky surprises. Essence of hay, comforting beer, and a gentle embrace of an autumn afternoon sun.

In the vast tapestry of the animal kingdom, Harvest Mouse paints a portrait of the softer, cuter, dreamier side—a nuanced olfactory masterpiece that captivates without fail.

Alluring Fig Theodoros Kalotinis

Alluring Fig is probably the most realistic, green, unripe, milky fig I've ever smelled! The fig that, when I was a kid, I was not allowed to cut because it was unsuitable for eating, and the milk would drip from its stem, bothering my skin. This is the first smell for me, the ultimate green, unripe fig with that bitterness that numbs the lips and tongue. And then turns into the spoon-sweet my grandmom used to make — homemade sweet fig that, when I was eating it, the voluptuous bitterness numbed my mouth, and the sugar of the syrup with its sweetness soothed it. A fragrance that took me straight back to my childhood. A trip in a bottle! It starts elsewhere, goes elsewhere, and ends elsewhere. Its bitterness starts from the tree — lively, cool, and green — but in its aromatic journey, it becomes a little sweeter like the fig in a spoon, to end up with unexpectedly powdery vanilla, like the lightly tied syrup in a saucer. Just unlikely!

Favorite Perfume: Narciso Rodriguez Poudrée

In the delicate and sensual embrace of Narciso Rodriguez Poudrée, an ethereal dance unfolds, weaving a tapestry of timeless elegance and understated allure.
