can people stop calling animal hospital "brainrot horror slop"
Longass rant defending animal hospital below cuz I have free will (no I don't)
I will guarantee you that these people are the same ones who call "meccha chameleon" and "peak" friendship cuz like, just admit that you don't like it and move on? I don't see the hate?
Because being honest, YES the game is awfully long, YES the game gets somewhat tiring after a while. But the game is still well made and really enjoyable to me.
And to people who say it's "chores disguised as a horror game"......bro? I bet you your house is dirty af? I bet you that you do chores once a week? Multitasking games are fun af imo and that's why I enjoy animal hospital so much. Cuz, while yes, there are definitely better multitasking games, this one is still one of them. And a pretty unique one at that (most multitasking games are just cooking games)
And for people saying it's like 99 nights in the forest.....no it isn't? Imo 99 nights in the forest is MUCH more tiring than this game. It is a bit fun, but tbh that one gets boring much faster than AH (NO HATE TO YOU IF YOU LIKE IT, YOUR OPINIONS ARE TOTALLY VALID!)
For people saying it's a very obvious cash grab.......wouldn't it be a "kids" mascot horror game then? Or if they're too lazy, wouldn't it be a rip-off of a "kids" mascot horror game then? If they WANT to make something new, then it would be a BAD "kids" mascot horror game. See if it fits any of the categories that "animal hospital" actually is.
See? "Animal Hospital", if you actually look at it from a non-"kids cash grab" angle (that doesn't exist) you will see that it fits NONE of the aspects that "kids cash grab" games have. Infact, the only two aspects that match in both games are that you can buy OPTIONAL things with Robux and the Devs get money. But if that's "cash grab" then how the hell are these Devs supposed to get money?
Overall, this is the same thing that happened to TADC. People hating on it just because it's popular and THEY personally don't like it. It's okay to not like things but it's not okay to hate on it, plain and simple. Can we bring empathy back?
Thank you for letting me know! I didn't actually know there used to be ai in it (I just noticed the items looked different after the update and went with it ig) so I'll reblog this to let others know as well

Trying to get over your anxiety is hard. However, it becomes even more difficult when you get trapped inside a strange, empty dimension.
My game Checkout Unavailable is free to play on itch.io :)
"Checkout Unavailable" is a short horror game inspired by liminal spaces and yandere stories. There are simple puzzles and 5 endings you can get. It takes about 30-60 mins to complete.
I listened to Dev Lemons' newest song on loop last night and made this in a trance lol I love her music so much! Her artistic evolution is so real and true and important to me...
The worst way to vent is by linking a video to it, but I thought I should share my feelings too, so trigger warning for mentions of domestic abuse and suicide from the video and suicidal thoughts and SH from my personal feelings
This video portrayed how I feel so perfectly I think I will sound pathetic if you don't watch it
I'm Indian, as most of you know, so I genuinely didn't expect the video to contain an actual Indian character WITH a backstory AND portray how I feel along the way.
So let's start with Amrita as a character, she committed suicide and ended up in suicideland. She's stuck there forever, regretting what she did and remembering everything. I don't have much to say for this part but this is just so that you get the premise
Now, let's look at the hospital scene. The father is yelling at Amrita for trying to commit suicide, telling her that she just wants attention and refusing to talk about the mom. In a later scene, the mom keeps praying for god to forgive Amrita. This whole part shows suicide as just a dramatic way to say "fuck you" and a sin. You know why this part hurt? Everyone I see as an Indian in India thinks that exact same way. They throw around suicide like "oh yeah if your friends don't join you, you will get depressed and commit suicide" and whenever someone dies, instead of worrying, the relatives might cry but everyone else laughs about how horrible the child must've been to commit suicide. YOU SEE WHAT'S BAD HERE?!
I'm Indian and I grew up and AM growing up around this people. So seeing them treat suicide like that makes me feel guilty for wanting to commit it too. And this exact reason "makes people not do it" you say? In my situation it makes me want to end it all even more. I don't want to be forced to laugh at such people like a lunatic. I don't want to SEE people laugh at these people like a lunatic. I just want to do something.
But besides that, let's take a look at the other scene, there's a scene where it's heavily implied that the relationship between her mother and her father is abusive. And she says that she will save her in a childish way as she only fears death and nothing else. I have two things to say here
1, I think the relationship between my parents is abusive too. Not only were they forced to marry because of my father's family, my father drinks, smokes AND does drugs, due to which I have a genetical disease called "fatty liver" which my mother is trying to remove (it's still in the early stages so we CAN fix it) but besides that, because of my father's many addictions he constantly gets into fights with my mother every time he comes to our house (he lives far away, he comes to visit us occasionally) so although I'm not sure if this is abuse (because my father constantly boasts about how he is better than my mom, but he never gets physical) I still relate to that scene
2, The fact she said she feared death and ended up killing herself......I truly relate to that in the sense that I feel guilty for wanting this knowing my past self would've immediately said no to such things.
I could talk about this for longer but I don't want to make this too long sooooo
I'm not disabled (atleast I think I'm not? I should definitely change my intro post from saying "I'm autistic" to "I'm neuro divergent" cuz idk which spectrum I'm a part of) but I wanted to leave this nice lil message to all of you disabled queers!
As I said before, I love you all no matter your identity OR the fact you're disabled or not! It doesn't matter!
