I got the iPad when I was pregnant, thinking it would be a great way to make keeping up an art practice easier to combine with baby care and sleepless nights. Something I've struggled with for a long time: when I work quickly, I'm often at least as happy with the results as when I take forever to do something meticulously. But can't seem to get that through my head enough to make that quicker, looser work my default. Has the potential benefit been sharply highlighted now, by parenthood? Very much so.
