An Aspiration For My Graduation (6.6k)
[NSFW] You're just trying to fulfill your humanities requirement and complete your project to qualify to graduate as honors with distinction. Professor Barnes has plans of his own, none of which involve you. Too bad things don't work out the way either of you intended.
Anything To Keep Me Home (10.2k)
[NSFW] You needed to pay for grad school somehow and the internet made it easy. When a regular high-tipper proposes an arrangement, the last thing you expect is to fall for your sugar daddy.
Get Your Motor Running (3k)
[NSFW] When Bucky surprises you with a weekend trip, you do not plan to end up with his head between your legs on the side of the highway but you're not exactly complaining about it.
Missing The Way He Grips On My Thighs (5.1k)
[NSFW] You don't mean to get back in touch with your ex, but Bucky Barnes is magnetic and even him moving to D.C. does nothing to dull the spark between the two of you. If only you didn't have your boyfriend to think about.

You wake up slow to warm rays of sun on your face and an even warmer arm over your waist. Bucky is holding you close and right like he's scared that if he lets go, you’ll vanish, never to be seen again. You sink back against him and giggle when his breath tickles your neck.
“Morning, sleepy head,” he says, voice still thick with sleep. He kisses the spot behind your ear that might as well be labelled with a ‘make you melt’ sign. “How'd you sleep?”
“Great,” you say, smiling. “Someone wore me out last night.”
He chuckles and kisses you again. “Can't imagine who that'd be. Coffee?”
“Mmhmm.” You're not fully non-verbal in the mornings, but you like to take your time.
Bucky kisses you one more time before he moves away. You immediately roll over into his abandoned side of the bed, chasing his warmth and scent.
You doze, but it's not long before the irresistible smell of coffee and the joy of your lazy Sunday morning routine pulls you out of bed. You used to be able to waste the day away, but it's not the same anymore. You want to be where Bucky is, especially on the rare weekend mornings that he's here instead of away on a mission.
“Hey sweetheart,” Bucky greets, pushing a mug of coffee into your hand. It's one you painted at some ceramics studio you dragged him to for a date night early on after making it your mission to plan things that were new for the both of you. He's the more artistically inclined of the two of you, to say the least. “Waffles or pancakes?”
You tilt your chin up for a kiss and smile against his lips. “Wrong question,” you say, bumping your hips against his to move him out of the way. “I'm making waffles. You should be asking if I want chocolate chips or blueberries.”
Bucky rolls his eyes but reaches into the fridge to grab the waiting carton of blueberries. “We need to at least pretend we're being healthy.”
“Bold coming from you,” you tease, giving him a pointed once-over. The wife-beater he's wearing does nothing to disguise the muscle definition you don't think he could lose if he tried. “Grab the eggs and bacon too?”
At some point he puts music on, the usual playlist of jazz and soul, and wraps his arms around your waist to guide you into a gentle sway.
You lean back against him and he hooks his chin over your shoulder. His stubble scratches your cheek but you let out a pleased hum. You feel safe like this. Content. Loved. Like there's nowhere in the world you'd rather be.
“I love you,” he says, voice muffled against your neck.
“I love you too.” You don't try to fight your smile. “You're in a mood.'
He grunts and you laugh as goosebumps go down that side of your body. “It's not a bad one,” you say. “You're just normally finding things to clean or fix by now.”
Bucky doesn't do well with stillness, with not having something to do. He tightens his arms around you and you let out a pleased sigh, focusing back in on the bacon. It has a bit more time on this side still and the waffle iron is still cooking away.
“It's…” he starts after a moment. “I can't believe I get to have this.”
“Have what?”
“This, all of it,” he answers, gesturing one hand out toward their tiny kitchen. “You. Breakfast. An apartment that's ours. It feels like a dream and I'd think I was going to wake up if I didn't know my nightmares don't even bother to give me the illusion of something this good.”
You try to turn around in his arms, but he doesn't let you.
“I love it, I love you,” he says, voice quiet and soft. “I just…I gave up on thinking this is something I could have a long time ago. But you made me believe in it again.”
You are bursting with emotion as his words sink in deep. You're memorizing them and absorbing them into the foundation of who you are. You know how special this moment is. How rare. You love Bucky so much and you've never once doubted the feeling is mutual, but that doesn't mean it doesn't feel like a miracle to hear it. There are volumes between Bucky's words when you know how far he's come from the guy who seemed seconds away from running on your first date.
“You made me believe in it too,” you say. “I know “it's not the same, but…I don't know. This always felt like something that happened to other people.”
He nods and you flip the bacon. The song changes and Etta James' smooth voice fills the air.
A moment later he grabs your hips and turns your around so you're face to face.
“What?”
Bucky licks his lips. His eyes are wide and you push a stray piece of hair back behind his ear. “Everything okay?"
He laughs, eyes darting to the side before he lets out a shaky breath and looks back at you. “Yeah,” he says. “I just…I love you so much. You make me so happy.”
You go up on your toes to kiss him, smiling against his lip. “You make me happy too.”
He grins back. “Marry me.”
You blink. You had to have made that up. But the butterflies in your stomach are rising. “Say that again.”
Bucky laughs and his hands come up to your waist as he kisses you again. “Marry me,” he says, louder this time. “I mean it.”
You are vaguely aware of him reaching out to open a drawer, but his lips are distracting as they trail a path along your jaw and the words are still settling. You've talked about getting married, of course, but you never expected to hear the words. Bucky had more to deal with than any sort of socially-dictated timeline your parents insisted on. It was something you both wanted, but there'd never been any rush. Even when he'd kicked a bit of a fuss when you asked about moving in together.
“Bucky…” you gasp.
A drawer slams shut and he pulls away to drop down to one knee in the middle of your tiny kitchen, making it feel like somewhere far grander than it was.
He has a velvet box in his hands and he's grinning as he opens it to reveal a stunning solitaire diamond ring, the exact kind that always caught your eye when passing displays in stores or when being hounded by ads. You didn't know he'd noticed. Of course he noticed.
“Will you marry me?” he asks, eyes sparkling and grinning wide. Underneath the excitement you see his nerves and you almost laugh at the thought that this is what makes him nervous after everything he's been through. “Words aren't my strong suit, but I've never been as happy as I am when I'm with you. You are everything I've been dreaming of my whole life and everything I never thought I'd get to have.”
You hold out a shaking hand. “Yes,” you breathe out. “Yes!”
His hands are shaking too as he places the ring in your finger.
It's a perfect fit.
He kisses the back of your hand and holds it between both of his like it's something precious. His cheeks are stained pink and your own face is blazing. You have to look a mess but that's the last thought on your mind.
“I'd had a whole plan,” he says, still kneeling. “Was working on it with Sam. So, uh, offer’s still on the table if you think your acting skills are up to acting surprised.”
You laugh and pull him up. “Is that why Sarah is suddenly very interested in some girl-time next time when she and the boys come up?”
He shrugs. “Maybe.”
You press your hands against his chest and fight the urge to squeal when you see the way your new ring catches the light. Instead, you curl your fingers and scrape them lightly down Bucky's chest, feeling a familiar curl of heat when he reaches up to grip your wrists before they can go too far down.
“Breakfast,” he reminds. “We have breakfast.”
You smirk. “We can do brunch instead.”
The bacon and pan are both a lost cause by the time you return to the kitchen, but you think it's a fair trade-off considering you got a whole ass fiance out of it.
You smile up at Bucky. “How do you feel about the diner, future husband of mine?”
He stares at you for a second before his entire face flushes. “Whatever you want.”

Kinktober is a kinky October prompt challenge that’s been running in one form or another since 2016. There are three prompts for each day in October, and the challenge is to use one (or more!) of the prompts to create something for that day. If you don’t want to use any of the three daily prompts, you can swap them out for the bonus prompts at the bottom of the prompt list.
If you have any questions, check our FAQs. Unfortunately, due to personal commitments, we won't be opening our askbox for questions this year. We've made it as rules-light as possible, though, so if your question is "Can I do this?", the answer is almost certainly yes!
Do you have guidelines on requests? What's allowed and what's not allowed.
I don't have anything formalized yet! At this point it's very much a anyone is free to request whatever, but I'm free to choose to not write it for any reason.
In general, I prefer that requests be for shorter works and avoid depictions of heavier content like non-con, underage, abuse, etc. I have kinks I'm not into (ageplay and watersports to name a couple) and I don't tend to vibe with no-power AUs, but it's hard for me to draw harsh lines right away - something I might not normally enjoy writing might fit really well for a certain character, story, or dynamic. In my experience, I don't know I don't want to write something until someone asks me about it just because it's not anything I've thought about. I'll probably throw something together in the future if I start noticing any trends.
I'd always rather someone ask than not, and I'm always happy to answer any specific questions in DMs! I'm still new to writing xReader so I'm still feeling it out for myself :)
Requests should be for shorter works (think under 5k; some ideas need to be novel-length to be done justice)
I will never be offended by the contents of any request—if you're unsure about something, send it in! The worst thing that'll happen is I don't write it
Requesting a fic is not a guarantee that it'll be written. What I write on any given day depends on mood, time, interest, etc
Things to Consider:
Give me some specifics! While 'sugar daddy Bucky' or 'I'd love to see more of this' is fun, it might not be enough to get the ball rolling on its own. Think about what you're actually wanting to read; fic is for self-indulgence!
Any scenes/moments/details you'd like to see included
Any scenes/moments/details you'd like to see excluded
Relationship dynamics
Who do you want the reader to be?
Do you want smut?
My Preferences:
This is a judgement free zone - I'm a big believer in "your kink is not my kink and that's okay" and that applies to every aspect of fic - but there are some things I don't write very often
I'm extremely selective with no-power AUs (coffee shop, college/university, mob, etc.)
I don't enjoy the Reader as a SHIELD Agent, mutant, Avenger, etc.
I am unlikely to write requests for: graphic depictions of violence, major character death, underage, non-con, incest, pregnancy, parenthood, miscarriage, children, domestic violence, rape recovery, eating disorder recovery, bestiality, watersports, scat, ageplay, age regression, caretakers/littles, sounding, lactation, consensual non-consent, puppy play, feeding, vore, inflation, diapers,
Tropes: sex pollen/fuck-or-die, dad's best friend, fake dating, only one bed, marriage of convenience, non-sexual BDSM, codependency, unhealthy relationships, power dynamics
