huge fan of the depth of a good purple but another area that draws me is definitely around aquamarine/turquoise/seafoam. you can not go wrong once the green starts getting just a tinge more blue. a gal could certainly do worse than to pull over there and stay a while

In addition to the print terminology stuff: the visual shorthand icons and ad graphics for something about writing are still often pen-nibs, fountain pens and typewriters…

…while graphics of a monitor, keyboard and mouse remain visual shorthand for computing…

…even though most writers now use monitor / keyboard / mouse or even laptop / touchpad.

In addition, headers for “this blog / website is about writing” are often in one of the many imitation typewriter fonts complete with smudges, or just Courier.

The start and end call icons on most / all smartphones is still the handset of a classic desk telephone, and sometimes the open-app icon is a complete phone.

The term “hang up” for “end the call” refers to something even older - one of these…

And of course the Save icon is indeed a 3½ inch floppy disc.

Why it wasn’t a 5¼ floppy is a mystery. The icon version is just as distinctive.

Also, why various OP updates never changed “Save” to the graphic of a CD / DVD or flash drive is another mystery, and nowadays a Save icon should probably be a cartoon cloud.

Graphics and terminology are funny things.

it was one of him from the back (with Cheka playing with his tail) and, honestly, I get it? because if you're not familiar with the character and you only see him from the back, especially in a more simplified style, your natural assumption would be. well. this is a furryman. (and genuinely it's totally fine, all the comments have been extremely nice and it's always very flattering when people outside the fandom can still appreciate my art! I'm just like...I'm so sorry, he's actually an anime catboy who just happens to be indistinguishable at certain angles, I have accidentally deceived you --)

this is my first ask so im a bit nervous but I just wanted to say I really like your art. I always look forward to reading your comics since they are hilarious :D

TBH your comics and art style are kinda like comfort food if that makes sense...like they make me feel all warm and fuzzy when I look at them

If it's not too much trouble I would love to hear your thoughts on Ruggie, Jamil, and Floyd since they are my favorites. Also if it's okay I'd appreciate it if I could see them in a comic. No pressure tho! only do it if you want to…sorry for the yap

aw! thank you!! :D honestly A+ taste in favorites; those three are all primo little snarkers. I feel like they'd get together on weekends just to be endlessly sarcastic about their bosses. bonus for Jamil and Ruggie because they're getting an exquisite education on the inner workings of Mostro just based on Floyd complaining about his shift schedule (Ruggie is also giving everyone way too much information about the state of Leona's underpants, which is probably much less useful information) (then again, you never know).

plus, y'know, when you're 5'7" and looking for those sweet discounted expired goods on the very back of the top shelf, there is an obvious bonus to hanging out around Floyd.
