You. Cannot. Tell.
Just to be clear. The message here is not, “All men are scum.” It’s not even, “Most men are scum.” This is not what it’s about, and fuck every TERFy shitwaffle who tries to co-opt this. We don’t need that kind of rhetoric spreading the belief that “men are naturally evil” and that “men can't help being that way.” That’s just complete bullshit.
The message is, “A few men are murdering, raping bastards, but they are very good at pretending to be perfectly good, normal men, and we have no way of telling who they are so we have to be super cautious because society and law-enforcement can't be counted on to have our backs.”

Huldufolk (hidden folk) is a term used in continential Scandinavian folklore. They often overlap with both the Dark Alfs and the land wights, and in later folklore the term is applied generally to all those who cannot usually be seen by human beings, particularly the mound-dwellers. One of the most typical characteristics of huldufolk is that they appear as beautiful human beings, but have animal features such as cow-tails or hooves; or else their backs are hollow or overgrown with bark. They try to keep these things hidden, as they tale particular delight in seducing and even sometimes marrying human beings.
