“Gathering Brains”
Technique: print, ink, tape, needle and thread on thick paper
Size: original is tiny, has been scanned at a high resolution
Description: One of the things you get taught in high school: don't be afraid to destroy things. This is an image I intentionally ruined, and I think it looks pretty interesting!

“Murderkitten”
Technique: Digital media
Size: x
Description:
My interpretation of a sadistic kitty. It looks kind of evil but also a bit sad. I added the pink for a little diversity. As you might have noticed, I have sort of managed to develop an obsession with pirate-y stuff. This is why I chose to add the crossed bones and the black background.

“Sorrow” from the ‘Ecstasy / Sorrow’ series
Technique: acrylics on canvas
Size: original is 40 x 50, this one has been cropped
Description: Life in art school has been driving me crazy lately. I feel exhausted and repulsive. Instead of doing homework, I create things I can’t use in school. Sometimes they turn out to be pretty okay, like this one. “Ecstasy” is the first part of my ‘Ecstasy / Sorrow’ series.

"Foxy Two"
Technique: fineliner on paper
Size: A4
Description: I drew this after a very rough day at school just before christmas break. I wanted to do something different, and since I hardly ever draw animals, I decided to draw a fox. I thought it turned out pretty well, so I decided to make a high resolution scan and sell it on my Society6 shop.

a proper introduction
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Max Schulze. I am an eighteen year-old art student, professional graphic designer and artist from the Netherlands. I have a thing for everything dark, eerie and mysterious, which is clearly visible in most of my work. This blog is going to be both a showcase of my work and a personal blog, in the artist way. If you have any questions about me or my work, please don't hesitate and ASK! I'll be happy to answer them.
