"They might be the truth to you, but they’re lies to me you know!"
"Oh, c'mon. I've done worst things."
"You told Miko-chan a bunch of lies! That’s what."
"Lies? Sohei-kun, I only spoke the truth."
"Then forget it!"
”..I still can’t believe you, Kohaku.”
"Eh? What did I do?"
Takes time to think about this.
"Will you forgive me if I do?"
"..."
"Hm. Probably not."
Continues to apologize because he feels bad for it.
..even though it was Kohaku’s fault.
"You gonna kiss it and make it better, Sohei-kun?"
Still hasn't forgiven Sohei for the bloody nose.
"KOHAKUUUUU!!"
He continued pushing forward, his arms stretched out to it’s extent as he continuously swiped his hands down reaching for the mobile. “HE’S LYING, MIKO-CHAN! I CARE MORE ABOUT YOUR GLASSES THAN YOUR UNDERWEAR! BOTH ARE NICE, BUT I PREFER THE GLASSES! THE GLASSES, MIKO-CHAN!”
"KOHAKU, END THE CALL. RIGHT NOW."
"Sohei-kun, it's alright! Emiko-chan shares the same feelings as you, you know~" Dodges to the right, "HE LOVES YOU VERY MUCH, EMIKO-CHAN. HE ALSO LOVES YOUR UNDERWEAR--" While this rad-ass blonde was swinging aimlessly for the phone, he accidentaly struck Kohaku against the face. Slowly, Kohaku faced him.
"How could you, Sohei-kun?"
"Oi—OI.” Souhei jumped forward, reaching for the phone.
"KOHAKU!!" he’d shout, "HE’S—HE’S LYING, MIKO-CHAN! THAT’S NOT TRUE!" he’d yell, hoping the one on the other end could hear. "KOHAKU, YOU’RE SO CRUEL."
"MIKO-CHAN, DON’T LISTEN TO HIM! HE’S ALL LIES."
Leans away from Sohei, standing from his seat and placing a hand on his head to hold the rad-ass blonde away. "Huh? Oh, that's nothing, Emiko-chan, calm down. He just wants to see the little bows. The black lace, of course. Ahhh, are you blushing, how cute."
"Shhh, Sohei-kun, you're making too much noise."
"Prank calling Miko-chan?" he’d repeat.
"Put it on speaker, Haku."
Puts up a finger, "Ah! Emiko-chan, moshi-moshi! How are you? I was wondering if you still had those lacy underwear~? Ya know, the ones with the bows? Sohei-kun was wondering if he could burrow those."
"Who’re you calling?"
"I'm prank calling Emiko-chan."
"Should I be studying?
— Nah.” It wasn’t like he needed to, anyway.
Souhei skimmed through pages he was already rather familiar with; this volume was his favorite after all. He knew which scene happened on which page and he he could recite the dialogue without the guidance of the manga. “Dinner? Nah.” He had an odd habit of speaking to himself when alone.
Just as he was about to turn the page, there was a knock on his blinded windows; a high pitched voice seeping through the thin glass. Brows knit inward; the horrible imitation of somebody he somewhat, maybe adored by someone he knew like the back of his hand. A vein bulged upon his forehead as Souhei shut the manga.
"KOHAKU, GO AWAY.”
He didn’t exactly mean that though. As he buried his body from head to toe within red blankets, he shouted, “YOU’RE NOT FOOLING ANYBODY.” only for it to project in an inaudible muffle.
He curled up into a ball beneath his blankets, blinking a few before allowing a sigh to slip through parted lips. Souhei kicked them off, positioning himself so he was sitting up, the teen crouched over the edge before pushing his structure off the bed. He lazily walked over to the window, unraveled the blinds and slid open his window for an easy access in for Kohaku.
He huffed as he stood by the windowsill, an agitated gaze settled on his companion. “Kohaku. What are you doing here?” He was the one who rejected his accompaniment and told him to hurry on home— so, why was he here?
Kohaku began laughing almost immediately when he heard the other's response. He should've known; Sohei knew Emiko very well. Probably knew her voice by heart at this point. Eagerly, he leaned forward, waiting for Sohei to peel open the window so that they could speak properly.
Kohaku's smile softened when caught sight of the blonde's face, though it was touched with agitation. Continuing his act, he rearranged his legs in a nervous, inwards appearance, curling a finger into his hair in an imitation of the class rep. "I came to confess to, Sohei-kuuun~ My feelings are too strong to contain!"
And then gasped dramatically, "AH! Don't tell me you don't share the same feelings?!"
When he saw the other wasn't amused, he grinned, chuckling once more, "I came to see you. I see you haven't even started on your work though." Tilting his head, he looked over the other's shoulder, "Reading comics again? You've read that one more than a hundred times, I think."
"Aren't you bored with it already?"
The scars on Kohaku’s back have never fully healed. They damaged the base of his spine, which is why he isn’t able to move lithely. Whenever it becomes closer to night, they become itchy and irritated, something that can be easily ignored.
Though, on the night of the new moon, they give him an unbearable pain. Without the light of the moon, the darkness spreads, fighting against his pure blood. In the end, of course, his pure blood always ends up winning, but it still brings him stress and nightmares.
”..even if I object, you’re still going to do it anyway.”
Pokes forehead.
Rolls over. “Taking a nap— or trying to.”
"A nap? Are you going to dream about Emiko-chan? Or about me? Or that weird new girl in town?"
"Hey, Ko." Not exactly surprised by his sudden appearance; he was pretty used to it.
Sits down beside the bench, "What're you doing?"
