bruce and sex:

it’s shown in the incredible hulk that while bruce may be open and willing to sexy times, he has control issues. he starts to shift. but that was still relatively early days when the hulk was something to suppress and destroy, not gradually learn to live with. now he could if he found someone that made him want to - if he can get past his own mind which is consistently his most daunting enemy.

he’s almost surprised at the admission - he knows steve cares, it’s not that. it’s the fact that an admission was even necessary.

he’d thought he’d been a little more subtle about his discomfort with all things military, but leave it to steve to notice it. either he’s losing his edge or the others are getting that much better at reading him and he’s not sure which of those scares him more. he knows which one he’s happier about at the very least.
