Quark of all mechs trying to pin him to a wall like that had come utterly unexpected.

With his back against the wall he stood in stunned silence for a moment, staring down into the scientists face with clear puzzlement in his optics.

Of course he wasn't really 'pinned', he could easily shove aside the smaller mech and walk off if he so choose. However for the moment surprise and curiosity were keeping him in place more effectively than Quarks small servos and thin frame.

The size difference alone was a big red flag that Quark wouldn't be able to hold the taller mech in place. If anything, the doctor could easily walk away or scoop him up and toss him into the nearest garbage bin if he wanted to...But Quark was on a mission and he would prevail!

"I was." Tarn admitted, putting down the datapad he had been working on.

"But that is no longer true since the moment you walked through the door." Facts with a hint of humour and a small chuckle.

"How's my resident scientist doing, hm?" The tank said, welcoming Quark and motioning for him to come forth.

Answering the beckon, Quark casually walked into the room with a grin on his face plate. Although he had a lot of progress to report, it was rare for him to catch the captain so deep in his work as of late unless it was before recharge.

"Busy like always. But I've hoped I'll be able to check on my captain for the evening." Taking a seat near the deck Quark sat down with a smile.

"I was hoping you were still up tonight to catch up. Since I tend to work through the night when everyone else is recharging."
