About my roleplaying preferences:
I follow the tag cruelsinger. Singleverse. Exclusive. I do not accept M!A. Mun is of age.
I do not ‘wing it’. In fact I prefer plotting behind the curtain and deciding on some basic guidelines to determine where our roleplay is heading before we start. Having some basic guidelines and knowing my boundaries beforehand actually gives me more freedom to write. Making up stuff as I go really isn’t fun for me. That also means I won’t be accepting random asks as starters unless we’ve already talked about it. Receiving asks for memes is okay, but I won’t be continuing them into threads unless stated otherwise.
I’m okay with most genres, but bear in mind that in order to keep my muse in character I will probably refuse to roleplay certain things. There will probably be some dark NSFW themes going on. After all, we all know how Tarn is and what DJD do for a living. I will always tag anything potentially triggering under the tag #NSFW (now #lemon) but I won’t be using readmores.
My main language is not English. This means that writing replies takes an extra effort for me, and therefore, I will probably take a bit longer to reply/commit more grammar mistakes than a native speaker. I put a lot of effort into it anyway, and I believe I have improved a lot over the years. Nevertheless, feel free to correct me anytime, I’m always glad to receive some constructive criticism.
I am a highly selective follower and I will probably not follow you back if you reblog too many OOC posts because I don’t like seeing my dash clogged with unnecessary stuff that doesn’t belong to roleplaying (you might want to consider having an account solely for roleplaying, and a different one for personal stuff). However, I will happily roleplay with anyone, regardless of if we are mutuals or not.
Things that I won’t tolerate being brought into my threads: sparklings, pregnancy/carrying, wombs, mechs giving birth, and everything related. I support only the canon method of creating new Cybertronians for the IDW continuity, which are ’forged’ and ‘constructed cold’. I don’t need your human-like headcanons.
My OOC and crack posts will normally get deleted in less than 24 hours, unless they are an important PSA.
I don’t normally roleplay with OCs.
If you ever have a problem with me, please don’t hesitate to send me a private message so we can find a solution that satisfies both. I promise I will do the same for you.
Remember that mun =/= muse. I don’t agree or support most of the things my muse does.
Anon policy:
My askbox is open in case you want to ask something and remain anonymous. You can ask things about the muse as well as the mun - to an extent. I’ll try to reblog some ask memes from time to time to promote this kind of interaction. Hate messages are welcome if it means they’ll keep you from sending them to somebody else.
About my post formatting:
I don’t format my posts. That means, I use the basic tumblr options to write. I won’t roleplay with anyone that abuses formatting of posts or uses tiny fonts.
I don’t use images on my posts. If you use them, I will delete them on my replies as I like my posts clean.
I don’t roleplay in ask-reblogs. Asks are for asks. Proper threads go in proper posts. If you are interested, I can move asks into threads, but I’d appreciate if you’d just told me beforehand that you want a thread and not a single reply.
In roleplaying threads, I require a title (used for easy tagging). I’d be happy to help you come up with one if you are out of ideas.
Please trim your posts (if you are on mobile, let me know and I will gladly trim our threads).
I am very flexible about the length of the reply. If I have more things to say and describe I will write more. If I don’t have to describe a lot of things or I am writing quick action scenes, I will probably write less. You don’t have to match my length in any case, and sometimes I won’t be able to match yours. Nevertheless, I will try to keep the roleplay even.
About my muse’s portrayal:
Regarding the DJD, I support canon comics up until issue number 39. From then on, you could say my muse is canon divergent. You could also say that J. Roberts made some stupid half-assed decisions and that he fragged up a beautiful comic with perfect villains.
After Megatron’s betrayal, Tarn decided to change his priorities and repurpose the DJD. They are no longer actively hunting down traitors. These days they have taken upon the task of destroying all the organic races that can find, as they are perceived as a threat to the Cybertronian race. They are also cyberforming planets after cleansing them from their organic inhabitants, to favour mechanical races finding new homes.
Tarn has also been making new allies during his character development to help him in case of necessity, like Deathsaurus, Trepan, Starscream, Shockwave, Fulcrum, Quark, Rung and SG Blurr.
He cares deeply about his teammates Vos, Kaon, Helex, Tesarus and Nickel, going even as far as to risk his own life to protect them.
I am fond of working on long term relationships between muses, and I’m not talking about romantic relationships exclusively. Friendships, enemyships and any kind of ships you can imagine are welcomed. Even relationships that begin as something and turn into something completely different over time. Character development is what I’m here for.
The only mech currently on the List is Megatron, and Tarn won’t hesitate to attack him.
I’ll try not to god-mod and always offer you an escape route if things come down to a fight, but bear in mind that Tarn’s strength and stamina are on par with those of a phase-sixer, for not mentioning his little voice trick. Please bear this in mind if you decide to take on my muse.
I expect my muse to be treated with the respect a mass murderer and torturer deserves. If your muses pulls unsuitable, out of character nonsense around him, I will immediately drop the thread.
About his voice: I will use bold text to indicate Tarn making use of his voice ability. He can inflict pain and even kill mechs using this ability.
Combat info: Tarn has two barrels mounted on his back that he will frequently use in ranged attacks (they have low accuracy, so they might not be very effective if the target is too far away, but in close range they will cause serious damage). He also carries a double fusion cannon on his right arm (as it’s seen in the comics, this particular weapon will leave a gaping hole if it manages to hit target. My personal headcanon is that fusion cannons take long to reload, that’s why Tarn will usually alternate their blasts rather than shooting two at the same time). He is a skilled close combat fighter, and although he is not the fastest mech around, his thick armor and his demolishing blows make him a deadly opponent. He is quite fond of using his own servos to tear mechs apart, so getting too close isn’t a good idea either. In the worst case, you’ll get captured (the DJD are very skilled at catching their prey alive) and tortured to death later in colorful ways.
Finally, if you have taken the time to read all this, please let me know sending me an ask with the code message of “You are being deceived.”. Thank you.
