“But one of my hens is incubating three eggs, so there will be eight soon!”

“Five?”

“Wow...that’s a lot for someone who started recently! You must work hard, huh...?”

“Because I’m dirt poor after sinking my entire savings into buying the land… and I’m trying to buy a sheep.”

“How many animals do you currently have, even...?”

“REALLY?!”

“Er… I mean…. Yes! Ok, I’ll wrap everything up for you, thank you so much for your business.”

“Thank you...”

“Though, if you don’t mind my prying, Toryn...why so eager to make money recently?”

With getting the animal medicine being Neil’s top priority right now, he couldn’t let any second waste. What if he didn’t make in time? What If he didn’t have any animal medicine? No, no he would not dare let that animal die because of sickness. He had to get that animal medicine no matter the cost!

“Hurry up! Stop walking so slow!”

She nodded, speeding up her pace. Thank goodness she had somewhat long legs...it was easier for her to catch up whenever she fell behind.

“Sorry...” she apologized again out of habit.

“1000 for everything! Bushel of tomatoes, bottles of cream and milk, dozen corn cobs, couple onions, and two dozen eggs.”

“But… assuming you don’t want to buy everything, then its a pick and choose market.”

“1000? Hmm...”

“Actually, yeah, I think I’ll take everything.”

“You didn’t leave ‘em out there for to long, right?”

There was no doubt in his mind, animals ALWAYS came first. To him, at least.

Neil turned away from his current direction, and began making his way back home “Come on, I think I may have some animal medicine back home”

His sudden movements threw her off, and she rushed to follow his pace.

“No...not that long, but it was very sudden...”

At first, she was surprised at his change of attitude, but it made sense--he was an animal dealer, wasn’t he?

“Fresh cream and produce for sale!”

“If you buy it all, I’d bet it will make a damn good tomato bisque~!”

His brows rose and he blinked in puzzlement, almost wrinkling up his nose in the process of his pondering.

“How sick are you livestock?”

She grimaced at how she kind of sounded irresponsible. In a way, she supposed she was, but she had tried her best to keep her animals cozy; not everything goes to plan, she mused.

I know I don’t say this enough but thanks for following me. it means a lot.

He stopped in his tracks when he needed to catch his breath. Of course he wasn’t going to be panting like a dog, but soft sighs did part his lips.

When she had introduce herself, Neil grew confused. Had they not introduced themselves? How could be even forget to introduce himself?
