hi everyone! it's mel (s/h, 25) looks awayyy here with my third muse, kang soojin! the campus heartbreaker, truly a woman dominating men's fields. once again, more info under the cut and to reach me the fastest re: plotting our muses demise, please add me on dc (hareboshi)! please like this post and i will haunt your dms, ok bye ily.

soojin is a 4th year undergrad majoring in material arts with a specialty in ceramics. she's the archery assistant captain and a member of the art, coding, and paranormal club.

she started archery at a young age, her parents set her up in different sports as she has too much energy as a child. she fell in love with archery due to its quietness and tension and she's been doing that since.

she's adventurous and outdoorsy, has probably done all the adrenaline junkie type of activities like bungee jumping, sky diving, you name it. nowadays, she's more into hiking and rock climbing. despite this, she is very mindful of how she exerts her energy and her body. she's careful with how she uses her hands as she needs it for both her sport and her major.

despite her seeking the thrill, she is very quiet when it comes to her sport and her major. years and years honing the unbroken focus that she has whenever she practices or go on competitions, it's the only time when you'll see her silent. (cue that line here about haikyuu's nishinoya yuu and how he's boisterous but quiet and reassuring when playing his sport.)

she has a very devil-may-care attitude and is truly here to be in the moment, she sometimes do think about the consequences of her actions but she usually shrugs it off and face it when it rears it's ugly head towards her.

with the heartbreaker label, she sleeps with people for the fun of it. not necessarily keeping track or jotting numbers, but more so that she craves that physical connection. with that said, she takes most of her relationship casually, not urging to put a label on anything for as long as it is fun for her.

her moral code is very neutral, a very 'it is what it is' type of person. she doesn't feel bad about ruining relationships/friendships along the way. it's more of an 'oopsie-daisy' that person should've known better, who told them to get involved with me, type of reaction.

she's a very carefree person and the type to enable you to make bad decisions simply because it's going to be fun, and it'll be a story to tell. with that said, she could also be very blunt and pragmatic.

she lives with her twin, minhyun and his cat dori, outside of campus in an apartment that their parents pay for. soojin lives like a princess, being the only daughter and treasured by her parents and brothers.

as for her hobbies, you can take her just about anywhere and she'll find a way to have fun. she loves going to the arcade/karaoke. she loves going to the amusement park or biking down the river. any first date ideas, she's probably experienced them all already ;-; she loves going to the park and just laying in the grass to enjoy the sun. she's kind of like a golden retriever fr, only that she bites :"

he would consider himself a relatively active person, considering that he does go on regular morning jogs when he's on campus. which also meant that since they were out here in the woods with nice nature trails to explore, he had started doing that instead of the morning jogs.

it was a pleasant surprise to run into soojin though, and he had greeted her relatively warmly when they made eye contact just earlier. they have some history between them, but they hadn't really let it push them apart when they had ended their relationship two years ago.

"you're going to fall," he says, not even really moving to help her, but more because he's worried that if he distracts her from her goal, she might lose her balance. he's standing with hands at the ready to grab her though, just in case. he doesn't want to be liable for any injuries on this trip.

"we were literally talking about flowers why are you grabbing a leaf," siyeong says, laughing a little as he helps her once she's grabbed it, squinting a little at said leaf. "i mean, you're not wrong."

"no i'm not," she answers back, which basically sums up their relationship. soojin has full trust in her form and firm footing that if she were to fall, then she'll land safely. and besides, it wasn't like it was a cliff that she'll fall over.

when she finally got her hand on the leaf, she's quick to show it to siyeong, a satisfied smile painting her lips. "see? i know i'm not wrong. and why not? foliage is foliage."

she climbs down the rock with his help and further surveys the leaf. "i think it works though," she says, now putting up the leaf against the light to show him her vision. he's designed plenty of dresses for her that she gladly kept and flaunt and she has the same good feeling about this one like she did the others. a treat she definitely enjoyed through the course of their relationship and subsequent friendship. she always enjoyed it whenever he talks about his craft.

"if you see the curvature here," she outlines the left side of the leaf. "wouldn't a terrain fall perfectly behind it?" now, she doesn't know much about design but she'd spend so much time with siyeong that she picked up a couple of terms here and there.

minhyun already has an idea of how this will go as soon as the door had creaked opened just seconds ago. it's like a routine at this point, as sad as it was, at least he knew soojin would look after him for the time being. he hears her shuffle her way into his room, can't help but sigh as he really wants to move, just enough to even show some signs of life, but all he can muster is to unstuff his face form his pillow. he feels the bed dip and dori hissing at soojin who only hisses back at the cat would make him laugh any other day.

his sister's hand on his forehead feels almost heavenly he could actually feel a few seconds of relief as he presses his head harder into it. with how cold it felt against his skin, he just knew the fever was horribly high. "yeah, feel like it-" he mutters back, but as quick as her hand was there, it was gone and he presses his face back into the pillow "she's doing great." and despite everything, he moves, head heavy as he pushes himself up just enough to reach over to dori and drag her under the covers, pressing the cat close to his chest, the usual, she's used to it and she's purring before soojin even leaves the door.

the front door locks and minhyun hears it unlock before he can even understand. had he fallen asleep that quickly? he can't really tell, but his head isn't killing him as much. dori had moved out of his grip from under the duvet and back next to his head. he listens, half heartedly as soojin moves round the flat and yet his door opening causes him to wince.

"i'd rather die." he says, a bit dramatic maybe, but the idea of moving his head from the pillow seems like torture. he vaguely smells the soup in the air and he finds it in him to push himself up. it takes him, an embarrassingly long to sit up, eyes barely open, room rather spinning but he gets there. "i had, ugh-" he reaches with one hand, rubbing his eyes "leftovers." he finally, looks at soojin, one eye cracked open and the other closed "my head is killing me."

soojin rolls her eyes at his dramatic ass and puts the bag of medicine down on the floor so that she can fully push the food safely onto the bedside table.

she watches as her brother pushes himself out of bed and while she would usually help him, she doesn't want to cause his headache to double and instead walk to close his bedroom door so that only a fraction of light from their living room could filter in. soojin manages to adjust her eyes to the darkness of the room quickly and sits by minhyun's side by the time he was already up.

dori circles around so that she's situated on minhyun's lap, purring softly as she nestles her head on the covers.

soojin feels her brother's forehead again, her other hand on her own forehead and sighs. "when did you start feeling feverish?" she doesn't bother asking, at least not yet, how the hell he got so sick so quickly after the mt. "just keep your eyes closed, and have some food," she says, taking the bowl and stirring the contents of the soup before bringing the spoon close to minhyun's lips. "say ah."

soojin easily falls into routine whenever minhyun gets sick. even from when they were much younger, it was always soojin taking care of him since there was no one else in the house. she learned the hard way of not reheating food too hot so that the person eating them don't scald their tongue. she learned which medicine is better and works faster. she learned minhyun's habits for when he's sick and made sure to always cover what he can't do at the moment.

her mind was drifting to what she'll feed him for lunch and dinner but she quickly shifts her focus back to her brother. she briefly looks down at the cat on his lap and mumbles, "hey, it's not my fault if hot soup falls on you, okay?"

it wasn't until they were a couple of spoonful's in that soojin puts the bowl down and rummages through the medicine bag. she holds out the medicine in her palm and the cup of water in the other. "did you want the immune booster too, or should we save it for later?"

making connections was one of wyatt's main goals as he began this new chapter of his life. in fact, wyatt wanted to make such a name for himself, that he became a yes-man in a way. he refused to retreat to his dorm if there was an invitation to something— anything.

of course there were exceptions, but this was not one of them.

how did he meet this upperclassman? somewhere in between a few bottles of soju, wyatt wasn't being too attentive at the time. one minute he was soaking in all the vibes, laughing and nodding along to the conversations he heard beside him, the next he was talking about rock climbing?

not that he wasn't interested. wyatt loved any sort of physical activity. plus, the few drink he had already consumed were making the idea sound extremely appealing. all he remembers is thinking about how cool it'd be to go immediately.

then he knocked out. probably on top of his bedsheets, too unbothered to change into his pajamas.

but now he was here, his palms chalked up as he glanced over at her. "so...first time?" his lips pulled into a cheeky grin. it was his second time, his first was at summer camp in middle school.

soojin is busy making sure her harness is all locked in place, only looking up when her company spoke. he looks ready to take on any challenge and soojin couldn't help but return his grin.

"no, actually," she says before picking up some chalk to dust her hand. "indoors? maybe my fifth time...this year?"

it isn't a surprise to anyone that soojin is a fan of any physical activity. and rock climbing just happen to be one of her favourites because of its clear end goal and different courses that amps the obstacles each time.

so when she was asking around mid-party, half-drunk, and half-joking, she wasn't actually expecting somebody to take up her offer so readily. she made sure to approach those she knew were part of some sport team so she knows they're capable and boy, did her smile light up the moment he agreed.

it was the next day. and when she said she was excited to go, she meant it, no hangover in sight as she clamps a hand over the rock closest to her, feeling the grip. "you?" she asks, "sure you know what to do?"

the greatest past - september 2024 starter for lee jisung ( @typicaljisung )

it only took three days.

soojin was never the patient kind and her last conversation with jisung left a bitter taste in her mouth. something yucky that she'd tried and spat out so quickly. that's what that day had been and although she agreed to whatever it was that she agreed to, she isn't noble enough to keep her word. she is done looking at her phone and all the times he's left her on read. she's already on campus anyways so might as well do something about it.

she packs up her stuff from where she was sitting on the grass. she is supposed to be designing a set for her next project but her mind and heart are only plagued by the way jisung looked as he said needed space. she looked at him face to face and it was as if his eyes shifted with disconnect from the words he was spouting, a scene she couldn't get out of her head. with a sigh, she hauls her bag and moves towards nuri hall, sending a text to jisung in the process. doesn't matter if she announces her presence or not anyways, she'll pound at his door if she has to.

clearly, she didn't think this through. all her logic flies out the window once she's decided on something anyways. though she doesn't live in the dorm, she enters the building with ease and navigates the hall like she knew it from the back of her hand, might as well be, from the all the times she spent coming here anyways.

she finds jisung's room quickly, and stood by the door for a minute of two. she decides that she's going to knock her hardest just to see if he'll come to the door sooner. soojin raises her hand, throwing her whole body and energy towards the door when it suddenly swings open.

"fuck-" is what she says as she stumbles in.

l’amour de ma vie past - february 2024 starter for micah han ( @steadycompass )

she lays in bed alone for the fourth night in the row, doom scrolling on her phone instead of doing her stretches before bed. she wrote down a to-do list around three hours ago but got bored after having crossed off one. there’s music playing speakers but she isn’t even paying attention when all she could think about is how cold her bed has been in the middle of february winter.

she throws her blanket closer to her neck, a sigh slips from her lips as she thinks about not having someone to hug tonight. at least minhyun has dori or whatever. not that she wants to hug that cat when it’s been nothing but mean to her. she switches tabs to her messages, re-reading micah’s last message to her. it’s been an hour and she’s yet to respond, mulling over what to say next.

she hasn’t seen him in four days, the last time being their date on valentines day. she was happy, really. she enjoyed her time with him, yes. but…

and there’s always a but when it comes to soojin and her relationships. she’s gotten used to having micah around during the entire winter break. hell, it might not even be a reach to say that he’s basically lived here in the last four weeks. now that she hasn’t seen him in a couple of days, she’s worried that he’s going to get even busier now that the new semester is just around the corner.

she throws her phone on her bed, with it bouncing to the edge. soojin brings her arm to cover her eyes, sighing for the fifth time in an hour. maybe it is finally time to actually sit down and figure out whatever this is. all this time she hasn’t been very forthcoming in actually discussing their relationship. she usually doesn’t think about it and prefer to enjoy things in the moment, but she hasn’t asked micah about how he feels. she doesn’t want to be the cause of distraction for him, now that he’s entering grad school.

she rolls over to her phone, her head hanging from the edge of her bed like a sad mop. she looks at his message again and starts typing.

soojin could have gone hiking on her own. she's done enough solo treks to feel comfortable finding her way back to the campgrounds. she's usually good at memorizing paths, patterns, and turns that would be an indication that she is close to the site of return.

what she didn't expect was that siyeong would come and join her the moment she enters the woods. it wasn't too bad, really. soojin enjoys siyeong's company enough that they stayed friends even after breaking up (and at this point, it felt like many many years had passed already since when it's actually just been two). and while soojin keeps track of her steps or how much they've hiked already, it was hard to stay on course with someone who knows her well enough to keep distracting her.

the two are currently away from the designated path, soojin standing on a big boulder while trying to pick a perfect-sized leaf from a low hanging branch. it was definitely a dumb idea, one that could even injure her if she loses her footing but, oh well, you only live once.

the morning had been horrible, definitely worse than whatever he was experiencing overnight. he turned off his phone as soon the first alarm woke him up, the bright screen and the noise making the migraine just unbearable enough where he felt nauseous. it was gonna be one of those weeks where minhyun was bed ridden for the majority of the week. if he wasn't in his bed he would have moved to the couch, but he didn't have the energy for that right now.

he hears soojin move round the flat, she's quiet like usual, it was him that caused a scene or fussed about a bit too loudly. yet, even the water running from the tap and the way her slippers moved on the wooden floors were enough to make minhyun curl even more into himself. he had three blankets on top of his duvet, was still getting the occasional chills, dori was laying on his pillows, near the back of his neck and was purring, that was providing enough comfort as of now. he knew he had a fever, he was feeling bad since the moment he got off the bus from the event they were at over the weekend. now he feels like the sweet embrace of death would do him well.

it's unlucky, being sick as a dog once a year and then just dreading it when the next time will be. as if being in this state wasn't bad enough the knocks on his door come through and minhyun groans, shoves his face further into the pillow. he hates how much he can hear anything and everything, but its all quiet compared to soojin's voice.

"i'm covered." he manages to croak out, a tracksuit he managed to get himself into in the middle of the night when the shakes were getting out of hand, three blankets and a duvet and he was still feverish. he feels dori stir against his head and he sighs again, something small and defeated "don't turn the light on.."

soojin pokes her head in, nothing but darkness greeting her. the only light entering the room is from their living room behind her. for a moment, she thought that minhyun wasn't even here and that his voice just a figment of her imagination but upon further inspection...ah, there he is.

the big big lump on his bed is enough indication that her brother is, indeed, in his bed. on a normal day, soojin wouldn't have hesitated to run and jump on top of him but from the way he sounded, it is enough to draw concern on her brows. immediately, the thought of getting to class on time flies out the window and her attention is solely on minhyun. she closes the door just enough for her to see around but also keep the room dark enough that it doesn't disturb him.

soojin reaches out her hand, careful as she sits by his bed side. the cat hisses at her and she hisses back but doesn't scratch her as she finally burrows her hand on minhyun's forehead. she doesn't even need to check his temperature to know how high his fever had gone.

"i knew it, you sound like death," she says softly, retracting her hand slowly as to not cause any jarring motion. "i'll be back, you-" she looks at dori with eyes narrowed. "you take care of him, kay?"

she doesn't wait for minhyun to respond and instead head out to their nearest convenience store. there's probably some medicine in their apartment but she thought it would be easier to buy the lot. after hoarding cold and fever medicine as well as some immune boosters in her basket, she walks by the soup aisle and quickly grabs something she can reheat. she'll figure out how to feed him a hearty meal later, right now it's important that he takes in some medicine so she pays quickly and heads back home.

she finds minhyun in the same spot, dori still sitting by his head and drops the bag of medicine on the table. she walks back out to grab him some water, and to reheat the soup she bought. by the time she got everything in order, a bowl she made for the soup and a cup she made for the water, she brings everything back to minhyun's room.

"hey, sit up," she says, placing the tray down beside the bag of medicine. "did you even eat anything last night?"

soojin is almost done getting ready for class, dreading to face another long day talking about shapes and texture and whatever else it was that she needed to know for her next assignment. it is a pain in the ass really, why aren't they just allowed to use whatever clay and spin whatever shape of a vase they want? these instructors are really getting too overbearing that she can't even express herself in her pieces.

she stares at herself in the mirror one last time, moving a strand of hair away from her face and fussing with her make up before giving up. whatever, she still looks pretty today as any other day.

she walks of the bathroom that she shares with her twin brother and her brow furrows at the quietness of their flat. by this time, he's usually nagging her to get out of the bathroom already or he's yelling at her to eat the breakfast he made. soojin walks through the living room warily, picking up her bag that she left by the tv last night.

she didn't see that mean cat either. so that is weird. something's weird. something's wrong. she walks towards her brother's bedroom, knocking three times and waiting for an answer. she's learned enough times to not open the door right away lest she wants her eyes razed so she lingers by the door a bit. when she hears no sound or movement from the other side, she opens the door slowly, peeking her head in.

"hey, you good? i'm coming in, don't wanna see your ass though, cover up."
