by the way i am pretty sure isabelle button (née higham) was known to be a kind, but wistful woman. they stopped counting the times she was sent to the coast because of her melancholia and every time she came back she just seemed more haunted than before. matter of fact, she always seemed to be looking for something or someone, be that in the eyes of her husband, her children's faces or the garden and the halls of button house. she was a loving wife, mother and lady of the house, but there was always something missing for her, someone she couldn't find when she entered a room and before she died, she would sleepwalk at night, sometimes calling for someone who possibly couldn’t be there anymore.
