i loveeeee when cube goes batshit on the powers. i'm just a big fan of how its visually presented, the vibe doesn't just come across in his design but the way that the panels are laid out, the staging and everything, it just always packs a really cool punch. i enjoy these panels from issues #10-11 a lot, just so much energy and motion and single-minded chaos with the coiling hands reaching out

^^^ i also want to talk about this panel right here, also from issue #11, because it has stuck out in my mind for years at this point. the shadow-obstructed faces of the powers magi, with those wide eyes and pin-prick focus, really carries such a strong sense of hunger that would stop at absolutely fucking NOTHING to keep on consuming more and more powers. i really love the effect of it
