These are five of Bernard Heuvelmans’ “sea-serpent” types (he uses that term for all aquatic cryptids, serpentine or otherwise; the unnecessary hyphen also annoys me).
Top left: Many-finned sea-serpent (Cetioscolopendra aeliani)
Middle left: Many-humped sea-serpent (Plurigibbosus novae-angliae)
Bottom left: Super-otter (Hyperhydra egedei)
Top right: Long-necked sea-serpent (Megalotaria longicollis)
Bottom right: Merhorse (Halshippus olai-magni)
I can’t find the source of the illustrations. They’re not from In the Wake of the Sea-Serpents (unless they’re from a later edition).
