Ok so I know Ron was all like “thank goodness you inherited your mother’s brains”  so now everyone’s sort of like “oh Rose Weasley she’s the girl and she’s smart so she’ll be just like Hermione.”  and its like ok, that’s good BUT

what if she inherited her mothers brains but also inherited her fathers personality?  So yes, she does know the counter curse that would easily take down that jerk of a 3 rd year that keeps picking on her BUT kicking him in the teeth is way more fun/effective.  Or like she’s studying for a test and Albus is having a crap day so she just tosses her textbook in the air and is like “let’s play chess or sneak out or whatever.” And she ends up failing the test the next day but is all like “lol whatever I can make it up later” OR EVEN BETTER-

Scorpius:  People keep picking on me because my dad was a Death Eater.

Rose: Kill them.

Scorpius: Rose no.

Rose:  *stands up* Fine, I’ll kill them.

Scorpius: roSE NO.

Drunk confessions after spinning the firewhiskey bottle all night long. Meetings during the prefect’s round late at night on the empty corridors. Kissing under the invisibility cloak on a crowded room. Accidental embarrassing revelations on Potion’s class while brewing amortentia. I literally live for shit like these. I have this headcanon that for like the first four years of school, Rose was always taller than Scorpius and she teased him about it CONSTANTLY and was always using his shoulders as armrests and stuff

BUT THEN fifth year rolls around and Scorpius gets on the train and suddenly he’s at least three inches taller than her and he has a nice new haircut and she’s just like

Everywhere he goes, he’s either the Death Eater child or the blood-traitor. Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy is never just Scorpius and he hates that he can’t tear himself away from that. He’s torn between his love for his parents and desire to break away from his family’s expectations as the good Pureblood son. So he rebels by spending the summers riding his Muggle motorbike, and sneaking away for a smoke during family parties, letting the nicotine in his veins soothe the pain from the fight he got into the night before. He hates that despite everything, it still doesn’t change what people think of him.

Everywhere she goes, she cannot escape the comparisons to her parents. She’s never just Rose, always “smart like her mother”, “spirited like her father” and “brilliant as expected of a child of the Golden Trio”. Love is never in short supply in her huge family but she can’t help but feel lost and painfully inadequate. She wants to live up to her parents’ legacy and make her family proud but how can she do that if she doesn’t know who she is as her own person? 

It didn’t mean anything at first. They came together as a way to go against what is expected of them, relishing in the adrenaline rush of what is forbidden. However somewhere along the way, something blossomed within them. Scorpius becomes entranced by her freckles, tracing the spots that paint her skin like the night sky. Rose comes to love the warmth of his hands, kissing each scar scattered across his knuckles.

They still don’t have the answers to their problems but their hearts feel lighter and for now, that’s good enough.

rose oblivious that he comes just to visit her

scorpius not knowing how to have a normal conversation so he only asks about how the stuff works

rose enjoying to explain everything to him 

scorpius smiling and not really paying attention because he enjoys watching how excited she gets as she talks

george watching how they progress in their relationship and laughing at ron’s reactions

draco entering to an empty room in the mannor just to find that is not at all empty but full with www stuff and realizing where his son has been disappearing to all the summer holidays

Scorose Coffee Shop AUs tho

Scorpius is the cute barista in this tiny coffee shop that is filled with tons of potted plants and weird artwork

Rose is the frantic college student looking for a good place to cram before finals

She’s sick of all the bigger coffee shops because she HATES seeing people that she knows when she’s out in public

So she finds this really tiny little place and starts going there instead

Scorpius notices that she’s studying frantically and starts silently coming over to refill her cup

At one point she starts muttering under her breath about how she can’t see the bloody difference between rococo and romantic art and how she’s totally going to bomb her art history final

And Scor is a total artsy nerd so he comes over and starts helping her 

Then she has to leave

But she comes in the next day 

And since no one else is there they kinda end up sitting on the counter of the coffee shop arguing about stuff and quizzing each other on vocab terms

(Scorpius is good at all the art history stuff but he’s completely lost when it comes to government and politics, but Rose is good at that)

Pretty soon Rose is coming in every day

Scorpius hates that she always drinks black coffee so he starts making these really weird drinks like vanilla mint swirl

Rose hates all of them

He keeps trying

She starts rearranging the plants and artwork and tidies things up so the place actually looks nice

He tries to teach her how the coffee machine works and she nearly blows the whole thing up

Then she finds the cans of whipped cream

So obviously they have a whipped cream war

And then they sort of end up kissing 

(Even though they both have whipped cream in their hair)

And at that exact moment Scorpius’s boss comes by 

Rose uses scary political terms to convince the boss not to fire Scorpius

A few weeks later, the boss comes by and finds that Scorpius and Rose have organized an open mic event and cleaned up the entire cafe and there are actually people there 

Rose is named manager of the coffee shop

In the end Scorpius makes a coconut-cinnamon mocha that Rose loves

No, but like... Wingman!Albus

-Albus Severus Potter is like the most obsessive Scorose shipper of all time, besides maybe Lilly Luna, so when Scorpius actually confesses that he really likes Rose, he’s just like, completely giddy

-Al completely trusting Scorpius with his favourite cousin because they’re best mates (total Brotp) and besides, Rose could hex him to the moon and back 

-Al getting information from his female cousins about what Rose likes in boys so he can share it with Scorpius

-Albus making sure Scorpius also knows the password to the Gryffindor Tower so he can visit Rose too

-Scorpius telling Al about things that happened in the day between him and Rose and Al just being like “I KNOW, Scorp, I was there!”

-Al coaching Scorpius on what to say to Rose when he wants to ask her out and is too nervous to try without some advice 

-Al listening to them fight but mentally willing them to just kiss already

-Al “casually” mentioning Scorpius in a nice way when he’s alone with Rose so she’ll start thinking about him and blushing

-Scorpius being confused because he got Rose really angry/sad/frustrated by something he said or did and Al explaining what he did wrong

-Rose has occasional anger towards Scorpius because of things he does/says, so Albus helps her see reason and she ends up forgiving him

-The smirk Al gives Scorpius whenever the slightest thing happens between them, like Rose’s knee keeps bumping into Scorpius’? IMMEDIATE SMIRKING! Scorpius puts his arm around her while they are hanging out and she doesn’t seem to mind? IMMEDIATE SMIRKING! Rose platonically kisses his cheek? IMMEDIATE SMIRKING!!!

-Albus “needing to use the bathroom” or “hearing his Mum calling” when they’re all hanging out at home so the two can be alone and he can secretly spy on them from the other room

-Al comforting Scorpius when Rose starts dating other boys and he gets all sad about it

-Al trying to shove Scorpius and Rose under mistletoe at Christmas but failing miserably and awkwardly getting stuck under there with some other person, much to their amusement

-The completely annoyed expression that Al wears when Scorpius won’t stop talking about how pretty Rose is and did you hear how smart she sounded when she was explaining how to make some potion, but inside Al is like completely content, like ‘yes, my ship is sailing at least a little’. 

-Al trying to calm down Ron or calling Harry to do so because he knows Rose will end up fighting with her dad when she and Scorpius share a little kiss or something but the haven’t started dating just yet

-Al being ecstatic when he finds out from Dominique or Roxanne or Lilly or some other female cousin that Rose admitted to them that she fancies Scorpius

-Al being so, so, SO happy and relieved when they finally get together

-Albus eventually being the Best Man at their wedding and he’s so sappy about the whole thing that he actually cries
