I've gotten questions about where I lift so instead I'm going to list where I avoid and why: Cvs: live right near one/brother worked at one so I know it pretty well; a lot of cameras, manager there always and typically on the floor, someone is usually watching cameras, seen them call the cops on lifters before Walmart: freaks me out tbh, too many stories of prosecution, they have a high theft rate so they're strict Macy's: every department has someone monitoring it, most things tagged, dressing rooms heavily monitored Kohls: lp is no joke, I lifted makeup there before and pretty sure they knew but I got out in time, a friend of mine lifted there and the next time he went in to actually buy something the cameras identified him and the cops were called Other stores that creep me out and I tend to not lift from: sephora, target, Nordstrom

Favorite stores to lift at and why? What do you normally get from there? Any tags?

I don’t own a magnet/hook so most of these aren’t tagged/have things I want that aren’t.

• Old Navy. I get shirts, kid’s clothing, makeup (usually ELF/Burt’s Bees), shoes occasionally, tote bags, and some times jeans when I find untagged pairs.

• Charlotte Russe. Great for shoes, accessories, NYX products, candy, and some times untagged clothing.

• Rue21. I load up on underwear. My lifting buddy likes their perfume too.

• VS. Great for undies, fragrances, lotions, and makeup bags. Occasionally there will be bras and things untagged.

• Cotton On. Good for clothing. Some jeans etc are tagged.

• Wet Seal. Good for clothing and shoes, also bras and stuff too.

• Soma. Great bras, open dressing rooms, hell ya.

• Claire’s/Icings. Jewelry central bruh + other cute things.

• Francesca’s. Accessories/bags/clothing/trinkets

• Hot Topic & Spencer’s. Fandom merch!! Tagged clothing but good accessories and some times you can find clothes that aren’t tagged. Also manic panic hair dye, etc

• Earthbound. Untagged clothing/nice smelling things/incense/trinkets/accessories

• Dillard’s. High end bags/designer clothing/open dressing rooms.

• Hallmark. Home decor/etc gotta make my own blind spot but there’s only 1 or 2 SAs who don’t give a single Christian fuck

• Bed Bath & Beyond. Fuckin rad ass soft ass blankets/sheets. Fuzzy soft ass aloe socks and slippers. Cute towels. All the shit u want for your house ok and tons of blind spots

• World Market. FOOOOD HAULS. CANDY HAULS. ALCOHOL HAULS. Also jewelry/home decor/etc great blind spots

• Ulta. Nice ass makeup, great blind spots, SAs that don’t stay up ya ass like at Sephora

• CVS. Nice blind spots, drug store makeup, razors, skin care, etc all ur girly essentials but there are RFIDs so pay hella attention

• Publix & Fresh Market 4 da Sushi n candy

• Books A Million. Great blind spots 10/10 ya girl finna rob the store all the time bc BOOKS R LIFE

Just FYI if you thank employees on the way out unless they've actually been helping you the whole time, it's a red flag and pretty much tells them you've stolen something. Like every time a customer at my job did this, my manager knew and would pursue them and every time she was right. Customers just don't do that unless they're trying to act casual. Also don't awkwardly say goodbye. Normal is just leaving the store, if a sa says something acknowledge it.

So I know I said I was gonna hit up like 50 stores today but my bf wanted to get dinner so I had to cut the trip short. I also still haven’t received my magnet yet so I decided to just keep it simple.

H&M: 3 necklaces, grey beanie, thigh-high socks, 2 tights. Bought a couple $1 things there because I wanted their bag but of course they give me a tiny ass one.

F21: Black combat boots! Also bought a couple cheap things so I could ask for a big bag to “put my H&M bag in”.

Charlotte Russe: Just went in for a minute, didn’t get anything. Noticed they had no towers but everything was gator tagged??

Charming Charlies: Never been here before but I’ve heard so much about them- I really hit the jackpot in here lmao. They only use the puffy tags on the more expensive items, literally nothing else is tagged. 2 earrings, 8 bracelets, 11 rings, 3 leggings, 2 scarves, and…my new lifting purse!! It’s not name brand but it’ll work until I can upgrade!

Sephora: First time in here too! Naked 1 & 2 (finally have all 3 now!), 2 Blinc mascaras, 2 Tarte blushes, Stila liquid eyeliner, TooFaced highlighter, Origins face mask, OCC lip pencil set, and the Dior lash serum. I completely forgot to upload my shopping list to my phone so I didn’t get a lot of things I needed :’( I really wanted perfume but I didn’t want to deal with tags because it was too busy and there were SAs everywhere.

Not to sound like a bitter bitch but all these posts about lifting for back to college and whether or not you should lift in a small college town remind me that there is such a big class divide in this community and while we all have lifting in common that is probably where the similarities end :/

not to sound like a bitter bitch but as someone who’s in college and lifts…while there is DEFINITELY a certain aspect of privilege in being able to go to college, make no mistake, not all people who go are suburban middle class.

my mom hasnt had a job since she had me, my dad hasnt had steady work since the economy crashed. he gets jobs every so often that manage to support me and my sibling but its damn hard. unemployment checks ran out looong ago. but im still going to college because i know thats the only way ill succeed in my chosen field. granted i worked my ass off to get scholarships, and we qualify for government grants, and im still gonna have student debt for at least twenty years honestly…

but basically dont assume all lifters/people going to college are rich and privileged. not all students situations are alike, and not all colleges are as expensive and white TM as private institutions anyway

I'm not a total newbie but any suggestions for clothes at old navy ?

Don’t really shop there. I’ve heard the stuff is untagged and they don’t have LP but they count going in the dressing rooms and I’ve heard of someone counting when they came out…. I think they have nice basic items like jeans, tops, sandals and pajamas. Find what you want and conceal on the floor in a blindspot and then head to the fitting room to double check for tags. Anyone else care to add?

The old navys by me rarely have monitored dressing rooms the employees don’t seem to care. Clothes are tagged randomly, so its hit or miss. The jeans are usually tagged.I prefer concealing in the dressing rooms because I’ve had no issues. Some stores have security standing near the doors.They have some cute basic clothes!

ok so alottttt of you ask how I do my “scarf trick” and it’s so hard to explain unless I actually show you.. so here we are

straight forward af, first

tuck the scarf under your arm your holding your bag so it completely covers your bag

select two of the same item (not as obviously as I did in the video clearly)

put them both behind your phone, pass one to your hand sort of through your scarf and slide it in your bag

pretend to read the other item decide you “don’t want it” and put it back which is literally all that looks like on camera and they can’t see you conceal behind the scarf I think it’s pretty fool proof I don’t go lifting without wearing one!

Okay so it’s basically taking a barcode sticker off something and putting it on an expensive item u want then goin to self checkout. U can easily peel off barcode stickers off folders and prob other school supplies
