This is a version of the #jazz #standard “So What” that I did one day (back in 2007) when playing around with recording, trying to figure out #modal #chords on my #jazzguita. This is what came out. I decided to give it fresh life and post it on YouTube. The guitar solo starts off with a pretty obvious nod to the greatness of #milesdavis. #projectacoustique #acoustique.

I think this tune came out pretty well except for a few rough spots :). I laid down the bass track first (including the solo) to a click track, and came back in and did the guitar part.

I apologize in advance for some of the rough spots. It's a WIP (work-in-progress)! Nonetheless, I'm making progress on my "All Of Me" project, which is part of #projecthomebrew. I gave a shot at kicking up the tempo to match the backing track from @learnjazzstandards and I also took a stab at syncing audio and video.

This is my very first #tbt post of all time. This picture was shot during #recital at #cedarvalleycollege probably sometime in 1988. I couldn't tell you what song we were playing. One of the guys working audio/video during that performance got this super cool shot during my #basssolo. It hung in the music lab for a while and then they took it down and offered it to me.
