applejack x rarity nextgen kids! (amityverse)

i struggled a lot trying to figure out their colors LOL also! none of the nextgens have cutie marks yet, im just trying to get their basic designs down before i get details down (i already need to change amitys haha) ill also do their individual pictures later on, i need a lil break :P also also! ill eventually redesign their parents, because they have certain traits from it that ill just lazily put here for now

they have either longer tails or tail nubs, this is a unicorn trait in my au!

the longer fluff at the hooves is also a unicorn trait

their white spots near the hooves and bellies comes from applejack

most of the "fluffier" patterns come from applejack, but the sharper ones lean towards rarity! (referencing her diamond) i shouldve also put notes like these in the twipie kids section but uhhh oh well!

new next gen! amityverse!!

i started another one LMAO this is mainly because i fell out of the peakverse one since it wasnt ENTIRELY my favorite ships, just ones i thought were interesting, so this one is more self-indulged

anyways, TWIPIE KIDS!!

Nighty and Mighty are twins (Nighty's the oldest!), and Amity is their younger sister.

They kind of mirror Shining Armor and Twilight's dynamic, but Amity is a lot more insecure because she was born a princess (rather than how Twilight didn't know). She also isn't sure if she's supposed to expect wings or not, and honestly, she isn't sure of anything!

She also mirror's early twilight's need to make friends that aren't her brothers, but she'll get there eventually :)

ill probably post more descriptions for them at some other point, but for now im trying to get the designs down for artfight LOL

also! i got amity's name from twilight calling an event the "amity" ball, so theres your fun fact

shining and cadence family

surprise! for some reason ive been thinking a lot about this family so i finally designed and drew them out!

flurry heart

Firstborn and an alicorn - when growing up she was a bit spoiled, but after she was no longer the baby of the family, she started finding hobbies other than being the center of her parent's attention. despite her parents worrying over her safety, she ends up finding herself drawn to the royal guard.

or something like that cos im still thinking about it, but i love the idea of her taking on a guardian role or working in the guard instead of being a traditional princess (which peachy keen looks up to since she doesnt think she can fulfill proper princess duties either)

lovely harmony

nice and quiet, harmony could easily be mistaken as an average unicorn. she actually ends up in her own world most of the time, and is currently mainly interested in her dad's old comic books.

balance beam

soooo his name was a joke at first but ive actually really grown attached to it LOL

also looking at it now he kinda... looks like day breaker? but im ignoring that for now. they probably bond over it or something and keep trying to switch places, but theyre not as identical as people think. big difference is that balance beam can NOT stay on the ground, this baby boy is constantly in the air.

peachy keen's brothers and twijack's sons!

the birth order is cosmic crisp -> peachy keen -> daybreaker

cosmic crisp

as the first son of the Legendary Princess Twilight AND the first born child of a new era (ill yap about this some other time), cosmic is actually a bit arrogant. he lets the attention get to his head at a young age, and is very naturally talented at magic, to the point that he doesnt believe in studying. he's a classified jerk to those who will actually try to know him, but if you just want an autograph then hes- what? you dont want an autograph? of course you do! its too late anyways, hes signing your forehead.

daybreaker

taking after his mama applejack, daybreaker stays true to his heart! he's known for always making other ponies laugh, most notably his older sister, as the two are very close. he's usually following peachy keen around, or his mama, or anyone that needs help! maybe he'll be the next princess of friendship.

also, yes, he shares a name with celestia's evil alter ego or whatever, but in my head, twilight (and definitely applejack) didn't know that. so when she presents daybreaker to princess celestia, you can imagine her shock when her student accidentally names a kid after one of her worst nightmares LOL

also fun fact: daybreaker's name was originally tough tarte but i wasn't feeling it sooooo... yea!

tbh im still not set on cosmic's design since i can't get his gradient to translate well in the way i wanna do pixel art sooo iunno

peachy keen!

technically the titular character for this au! this is kind of a rough idea of her, but i decided to get rid of the idea of polishing everything up and just posting whatever lol

anyways, this is peachy keen! shes the middle child / only daughter of twilight and applejack! (ill be posting her younger brother after this, but as of right now i still have to draw her older brother LOL)

but basically for the title of the au, it goes from peachy keen > p.k. > peak!

though she's born an alicorn, she's actually pretty bad with magic, doesn't fly well, and isn't strong?? she just has all three traits but isn't good at any of them honestly... not to mention, as the daughter of the princess of friendship, she's really bad with making friends... how much worse could it get?!

as you'd expect, any information is subject to change :)

also also, i drew this with a mouse! i usually prefer tablet but ive been trying to get better at drawing with a mouse because i said last time, its not always the most convenient to take out my tablet sooo

rainbow!

i feel like most stuff here is self explanatory BUT i do have some ideas about her scars

i think itd be interesting if her ear scar is from her first ever sonic rainboom, because the air cut her ear a bit so she learned to tuck them in or something. (also adding that she is naturally loud because of her booms and she might have a slight hearing problem! (bakugo-core)

one of her wings is from when she got hospitalized and had to learn how to read (read it and weep) and the other one is from when she got it clipped when flying with lightning dust (wonderbolts academy)

the one on her leg was supposed to be when she got stuck during may the best pet win, but i looked it up and i was mistaken! it was her wing that got caught and not her leg. so for now, im not too sure but shes probably crashed enough that something happened there LOL

the one on her face is just from. flying into things. rainbow crash.

i also changed her eye color because while looking through images of her, i found original firefly! :)
