Finding someone that understands The Character™ the same way you do

The only thing I ever really wanted as a writer, as a performer was to connect with people. Being the only girl and the only woman in so many bands I've been in was a very lonely experience a lot of the time. I internalized a lot of things and it's strange to start unraveling some of that. It's not an ending and it's not a beginning but it would be a shame to let this moment go to waste.

There have been so many amazing parts of being in a band but it's weird to reflect on how crazy all of that was. I was so young when we started the band and I didn't feel like I knew what I was doing a lot of the time. A lot of those experiences I still can't get my head around now but I do like the idea that I was sort of forged in the fire.
