"Screw the System!"

This is the official Tumblr for the webcomic “Screw the System,” where Kooks and Nyafe, two teenagers, decide to quit the traditional method of school for it being horrible, and they are now on the run against the system, especially R. Pyg. Main: @kaptkookiekrunch

We have a teaser!! This will introduce you a bit to our main characters, Kooks and Nyafe. You’ll also see some new faces. They’re some old OCs of mine that will return in Screw the System.

Like I mentioned before, the first part of the actual story will take some time to get here, due to be taking break from drawing panels. I hope this teaser will hype you up, though. See you then!!

Tomorrow, Saturday 9 PM EST, will be when I release the teaser for Screw the System!! For now, have a drawing that I want to show :]

Just Kooks and Nyafe pointing and saying things to each other.

Keep in mind, after I post the teaser, it’s a while before I even begin posting the first parts of the actual comic itself. School has now started for me, and working on it on top of my mental health is going to make the process slower...I hope you understand!!

We now have an ask box! Check out this drawing I made for this achievement. It’s also the first one (not counting the cover) to include R. Pyg the Cop.

With this new ask box, you can ask me any questions about the comic and/or the comic process. You can also send me compliments...and other things. I need to think of a unique tag for all asks..

This ISN’T an ask blog, however, so you can’t ask the characters in the comic questions. An ask blog might come in the future as the comic comes along, but that isn’t the main thing I’m thinking of right now.

Anyway, I hope you have fun with this new ask feature! This is the last drawing you’ll see until the teaser comic is done, so see you then ✌🏾

Here’s some news: after two grueling days, the lineart for the teaser comic is finally done! Have a little drawing of Kooks that I made to celebrate this milestone of mine.

Here’s some news going forward: I start school again this Monday (August 17th), and thus, it will not take me two days to finish the whole teaser or even finish coloring it. So...expect a wait. I hope you understand this and are looking forward to seeing the teaser for Screw the System!

I might even open up the ask box so that you can ask me questions about the comic or comic process...or whatever, so that you’ll see more content to keep you going until I post the teaser.

Finally, have another drawing of Kooks and Nyafe that I did!

It was originally supposed to be another icon, but...the current one is better for me. Well, see ya!

Some news! Formerly spelled as Nyife, this teenage cat who is also the dueteragonist of Screw the System is now Nyafe! It just sounds and looks better. You still pronounce it as “knife,” just put more emphasis on the “nya.”

Oh, and you may realize in this drawing that Nyafe speaks in third-person and uses they/them pronouns. New facts!

Also, introducing a new tag for this blog- the artchive! Any random bits of art that I draw that isn’t a comic page will be in that tag. If you’re viewing the desktop version of this blog, then you’ll see a page later that has a link to all posted tagged #the artchive.
