never gonna stop being obsessed with the fact the Master and the Doctor look at eachother and both see a person that’s been dead for a very long time, instead of the person that’s really looking back at them
Do you know what the difference is between the Doctor and the Master when it comes to their god complexes?
The Doctor knows, completely and absolutely, that he is a god, that he has the control over the the laws of time and that there's no one left to say anything about it. He rejects the idea. but he knows it. He wants to be like them, like the humans, like his companions, that's why he keeps them around, to remind himself this is the standard, to not let his inherent power get to his head. But deep down, he knows he's in power, he knows he's over all of them, that's why he's the hero, because he's better, because he can do what they can't. He's a benevolent god, if you want to see it that way, a god that wants to be "one of his people".
On the other hand, the Master wants to be god, but he doesn't genuinely believe he is. That's why he has to prove it, to show his power so that others will believe it. He's already convinced himself, but deep to his core, he doesn't believe it. He would not be so desperate for power if he did, because he'd inherently have it if he were a god. He wants to force himself on top because "that's where a god should be".
The Doctor wishes he wasn't a god, wishes he didn't have to carry that responsibility. The Master wishes he was god, because he knows the Doctor is and he wants to be his equal.
The more I front the more I have actual interests and the harder that makes my role as “the one who does the school work/studying”

i’m sorry but acting like tens or hundreds of mentally ill people being stressed about the announcement of losing a vital resource that is hard to replace due to disenfranchisement are unreasonable is absurd. “it could be worse” yeah and it could be better. it’s not wrong for people, especially disenfranchised, mentally ill people to be upset over losing one of the few resources catered to them.
ofc i don’t support the level of hate the dev has gotten and i think it’s disgusting to see. don’t send hate to the dev or their team, and i ofc absolutely support the dev stepping back for their mental health, but the amount of people i’ve seen acting like the general plural community is wrong for being upset over this is fucking ridiculous. use your brain. a disenfranchised community is losing easily their best, easiest to use resource. people are right to be upset, especially at the way this was handled.
