H. And I’ve been doing some thinking about TWF5. In particular, about how throughout the entire episode, “Bon” seems like a cult leader. He has all the markings of one. He hunts Rose, actively seeking her out, preaches about “being born anew”, and seemingly lovebombs Rose, convincing her to “join him”. And of course, him repeating that he can fix whoever’s in Wonderland.

I keep thinking of Susan and Charles in the episode. They seem much more sinister than hotline. You know what they remind me of? Cult devotees. It’s everything about them. The way they smile at Rose, take both of her sides probably so she can’t run, and just their overall demeanor. Do you think “Bon” basically brainwashed them into his style of thinking?

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a Brand New Day theory.

There’s a question I’ve been wondering. Why _is_ the new Spider-Man called Brand New Day? When the previous films released, they would at least be giving hints as to what we were getting. For example, Far From Home made sense because he was in Europe, hence the name. No way home made sense because of the whole villain thing. But what’s the deal with Brand New Day?

This is my proposal. I think it’s meant to serve as a prelude, the final prelude, to Doomsday. What I’m willing to bet is that BND ends where Doomsday begins. Think about it, those two are the only films that have “day” in the name. And there’s a link (albeit, circumstantial). The name “Brand New Day” reads less like a superhero movie and something a leader like Doom would say.

Thé promise of a brand new day is a popular tactic in a cult actually. It works in a “rebirth” type of context, yk? Like, i can imagine him saying “Brothers and Sisters of Latveria, today is a brand new day!” And go off on this spiel about a brighter tomorrow.

Oh, and here’s the kicker. Throughout the MCU recently, a trend I’ve noticed recently is recurring by themes. For example, themes like parenthood through Wandavision, First steps, and Love and Thunder.

Propaganda is another theme, which would make sense given Latveria’s nature. A few I can think of off the top of my head (post endgame) is the falcon and the winter soldier, when they sent John on that media tour. Or the DoDC smear campaign in the ms marvel series. And the biggest one, Mysterio’s entire thing. Iirc, his whole thing was spreading propaganda.

Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a TWF theory. Why the stairs are relevant. In TWF4, "Bon" describes Susan becoming Banny as "a butterfly bursting out of a cocoon". What I find interesting about this is that that's usually attributed to caterpillars for obvious reasons. But its what the caterpillar does in AiW that intrigues me. The Caterpillar corrects Alice's recitation of the poem "You are old, Father William", noting that the line about kicking someone down the stairs was altered incorrectly.

Here's the interesting part. The caterpillar in AiW. He always asks "Who are you?". They could be taken in two different contexts. It could be that "Bon" gives these words a whole new meaning. "Who are you" could mean "Are you Susan or Banny?"

Ashley represents the Cheshire Cat. You know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat, and that's what got her killed in Ep 2. She checked out the facility when everyone was asleep.

Also, Eva (one of the TWF writers) said that living people can enter Wonderland too. I think Sophie's going to enter there, making her our "Alice". The reason I say this is because Sophie has always been associated with pills that repress things like Bons Burgers. But it also leaves her confused about who she is and her own identity.

So here's what I propose. it’s a long shot, but there's a condition called Alice in Wonderland syndrome. It's sometimes caused by taking certain meds.

A symptom of Alice in Wonderland syndrome can be time changes. (Meaning time seems faster or slower than usual). In one of the teasers after Ep 3 came out, wasn’t there a continuous ticking clock in the background?

It should also be noted "Bon" was originally going to call Rosemary "The Flower". In AiW there are flowers which lead to the Caterpillar, who in this case, could represent Jack/"Bon". Throughout the story of AiW, the Caterpillar is practically an enigma.
