walten files ep4: jack is bon theory found dead in a ditch and shot 47 times
walten files ep5: the political climate surrounding the fandoms is in shambles. people have somehow concluded jack is bon and not bon at the same time. i saw someone claim felix is bon. im bon. you’re bon. we’re all bon. bon is a state of being and mind. we’re beginning to deteriorate into deltarune levels of theorists
I’m well aware that media literacy has a foot in the grave- but I feel like a airhead for just putting this together.
We have assumed “Bon” understanding of "Beautiful” is superficial- that in 'killing' and having them posses new bodies, his victims are in someway transformed- but what if he meant it in the ironic sense. Beautiful, as in fitting, suitable, or deserved; like a bomb-maker hoisted by their own petard.
For the woman who looked the other way, a snapped neck and a permeant crook in the hereafter.
For the man who stayed silent, a slit throat and forever mute.
For the wife that had gone to pieces from tragedy, loss, and grief… Well, you know what happened.
This principle is even applicable to Ashley, in a way.
The foolish girl who wandered where she wasn’t supposed to, is forced to body a clown.
If we’re to believe this is “Bon”’s definition of “Beautiful,” how can we apply this to them?
I'll never be over the fucking "everything is fine" sticky note in one of the newest teasers
JACK. BUDDY. JUST LET YOURSELF FUCKING GRIEVE MAN. YOU ARE GOINF TO HURT YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILY IF YOU KEEP THIS UP.
I swear with every new teaser this man is in just gives me more evidence that Jack is going to have a full on breakdown at some point
If he does have a breakdown at some point, its probably going to be loud and awful. Because of the fact that he's holding in all of these negative emotions, and the only way they are even slightly being let out are possibly due to Jack lashing out, which he tries not to do anyway. Its going to be so uncomfortable to watch, in the best way possible
The fact that Jack most likely wont let himself grieve either due to work or taking care of his family makes me so sad. Im honestly wondering if the confirmed scene between Jack and Rosemary is going to be them talking about this, about hiw they're coping with this
H. And I’ve been doing some thinking about TWF5. In particular, about how throughout the entire episode, “Bon” seems like a cult leader. He has all the markings of one. He hunts Rose, actively seeking her out, preaches about “being born anew”, and seemingly lovebombs Rose, convincing her to “join him”. And of course, him repeating that he can fix whoever’s in Wonderland.
I keep thinking of Susan and Charles in the episode. They seem much more sinister than hotline. You know what they remind me of? Cult devotees. It’s everything about them. The way they smile at Rose, take both of her sides probably so she can’t run, and just their overall demeanor. Do you think “Bon” basically brainwashed them into his style of thinking?
Obviously, Felix knows what is going on in his own restaurant. I kept thinking about why he was so “quiet” or inactive about it all. He was, naturally, terrified after the crash and finding out he was at fault for Ed and Molly’s death. He didn’t want to get caught so, he buried them and threw their belongings in the river to throw off the police. I, would think that if he was worried about getting caught by police again, he would’ve been more active in trying to cover up all the activity, not just the murders, in his own restaurant. At least, he’d do something about it all.
Then it hit me. I can safely say after this episode, that Jack is Bon. If it was obvious before, I only had self doubts that kept me from fully going on board with this. Don’t ask me why, when in the earlier episodes, Jack’s shadow can be seen at the sight of the first reveal of Rosemary’s death. Anyways, based off the phone call, I’d assume Jack willingly put himself into Bon or he killed himself and had Felix put his corpse inside of Bon. That begs the question of why would Jack end his life in that particular way?
Well, Felix knew about the afterlife. He was being haunted by Ed and Molly through the Rocket doll. However the process went with Jack getting inside of Bon, willingly or not, Felix had something to do with it. Now it begs the question, why? I think Felix wanted to atone for his sins in some sort of fucked up way and wanted to reunite Jack and the Walten’s in the afterlife. It’s why he’s letting Jack/Bon go after Rosemary and now, Sophie. I don’t think it’s out of any sympathy for his friend Jack and there may be a chance that Felix wanted Jack dead because Jack might’ve found Ed and Molly’s bodies. Due to Jack’s death, he purposely let Rosemary find Bon, knowing Jack/Bon would want to reunite with his wife and turned her into Sha.
The problem now, is Jack/Bon has killed other people they knew. Bon’s Burgers is shut down but the warehouse still needs security? Why is Felix continuing to hire security when the restaurant is shut down and the animatronics aren’t being used? There’s no reason to keep them in maintenance when you can “throw” them away (however that works) and you can just leave the warehouse to be abandoned too.
Here’s the thing. Yes, we know Felix doesn’t want to get caught again. If it’s truly Felix hiring more security, I think he wants to keep Jack/Bon satisfied so he doesn’t get killed. Jack/Bon may need more victims to continue to haunt the animatronics or to stay active to interact with the living, or keep wonderland alive.
There’s also a chance, that Felix did leave it all behind or already became another victim of Jack/Bon. Maybe Felix left the warehouse for someone else to manage and the owner is just that bad of an owner, who has never has stepped foot in the warehouse. I don’t know if in the previous episode, before Faces Of Grief, if the manager on the phone owned the warehouse or it was just simply a manager. If he was just a manager, I’d assume Felix would be the owner still and it would make sense as to why Felix would want security to stay in the warehouse.
With that being said, what if the manager on the phone was Bon imitating a voice to keep the security man trapped in the warehouse? I was thinking about why Jack/Bon would continue to kill people he didn’t need or didn’t know. It could be simply because Jack’s grief drove him so insane that he’s no longer Jack. He’s just Bon and that’s why he looks the way he does, a white entity. A “blank slate” in his own words. Now he’s just killing because he enjoys creating beautiful art. Alternatively, he could just be so insane that he wants to show others the “light” because he’s developed a god complex. Or both, who knows.
As we already have seen, Charles and Susan don’t want to kill security or anyone really. They don’t like Bon. Ed and Molly are trying to communicate with Sophie to get her to remember what happened and to help free them. Rosemary wants Sophie to join her along with the rest of her family in the afterlife. Bon has control over his “family” and less control but still, possibly, Charles/Boozoo, Susan/Bannie, and Billy/Security Guard #1. (I’m forgetting his name atm) Felix clearly hired Sophie to give to Bon and to end the Waltens.
How this will end? Unsure. I know there’s probably some plot holes I’m missing, as it has been a while since I’ve rewatched the series again. I think, being familiar with its inspiration (FNAF), Sophie will figure things out and burn everything down. She might be able to collect some evidence before that to throw Felix in jail, if he’s still in the picture at all. If not, Felix might end up in an animatronic then dies in the fire, or Ed and Molly just straight up end him. Everyone would be free after the fire and hopefully, Sophie gets to heal and live a wonderful lesbian life with her friend, Jenny.
I don’t think this series will have a happy ending but I just like imagining Sophie having a happy ending because she deserves it.
Considering how once episode 5 and 6 are done, Martin and his crew are gonna make that "Showstoppers Incorporated" series from what I've gathered, I only have one particular wish....
Have these two interact and for the love of God, let it be genuine and wholesome!
I want Mortality to show some genuine whimsy and feel like he's a guardian angel(bonus points if that's the twist).
I want these two to be buddies much to Bon's dismay, I want Mortality to be basically Banny's bodyguard.
Think about it, in the Boozoo's Ghosts video during the scene where Ebenezer Boozoo was scolding Janitor Banny for accidentally breaking a mug, Mortality was there watching from the window, I can imagine he must be pissed at Ebenezer for being a jerk to Banny over a simple mistake.
Imagine how Mortality probably is gonna be with Bon, just glaring at him whenever he so much as enters the room.
I want Bon to feel unsettled, have him feel like he's fucked if he acts like a jerk towards Banny around Mortality.
I know it's just me with my wishful thinking but God damnit, I want it to happen, I would be so happy if it does happen!
