Have we tried turning 2020 off and back on again?
The drama
For some reason were scared of looking into the abyss of the ocean when its only a few miles deep, but we’re completly fine looking into the nearly infite abyss of space. In fact, most of us find is calming.
Is it true that Mexico fans created a fucking artificial earthquake in Mexico City because they were celebrating the goal against Germany jumping so much? ajdkhdjhksd I C O N I C
IF EVERYONE ON EARTH JUMPED AT THE SAME TIME WOULD IT CAUSE AN EARTHQUAKE THIS IS ONE OF MY CHILDHOOD QUESTIONS ANSWERED THANKS MEXICO
The lack of sound is… unsettling. It forces you to take in the absolute chaos for what it is.
To the spiders in the ceiling corners: you’re keeping your end of the contract, love u honeys catch those tasty flies
To the spiders halfway down the wall and touchin my furniture: you’re on thin fucking ice babes
i just wanted to be like you! and i wanted you to be better.
me writing essays
My entire thesis.
Every single academic book in existence.
technology related sensory memories from my childhood
sliding the metal cover on floppy disks
the slight resistance of inserting cassette and video tapes
ripping off the strips of holed paper off of dot matrix printer paper
rolling the wheel on a disposable camera to take another photo
The heaviness and rubber texture of the roller ball in a computer mouse, and the little ring of lint
Unkinking the curly cord of a telephone while you talked
The -peww sound and slowly fading image of a crt monitor turning off, and then running your finger through the static on the dusty glass
The crunch of opening or closing a plastic Disney vhs cover
The sound effects in kidpix
Extending and collapsing metal antennas and using them as magic wands
…God, it is so weird these things aren’t around any more. Cause it’s true, the sensations are so distinct. It’s bizarre to think about missing these tiny relics.
This makes me realize how real the micro generation between Milennials and GenZ really is and how I’m very much part of it. Some of these things I have no memory of but I’m sure people only a year or two older than me do. And a lot of people just younger than me probably remember little to none of this.
i remember every single one of these, and it’s so visceral
“Gay people just hate straight ships”
nope
we
just
like
healthy
ships
that
aren’t
toxic
FACT OF THE DAY: the reason why you can’t dig a hole through the earth and come up on the other side is because your shovel would melt. that’s it. that’s the only reason.
what if you bring a second shovel that you put in the fridge beforehand to make it cold
yeah that’ll work

this is cool but why is it shot like the intro credits of a crime drama
…Dessert, but shot like Murder. I think I’ve found my favorite aesthetic ever.
