Going Solo

Alone I ride, at once crossing with the winds and drifting with it. Between land and sky, I feel alive, know nothing about life. The distance is far, my destination is here. This artwork celebrates the sweet solitude of cycling solo. That feeling when your bike, body and mind flow at one with your surroundings. The figure of a lone cyclist is created using a single, continuous brush stroke, similar to the one-stroke technique used in Chinese calligraphy.
