Dear Adella,
I am so sorry that our paths did not cross again prior to my departure from Hiera, but I must once again tell you how happy I was to finally meet you and get to know the person who has given our lovely Xavier such great joy in recent months. I can see already that the two of you compliment one another perfectly and will enjoy a harmonious and prosperous marriage.
As I am sure you are already aware, emotion - and particularly the expression of it - can be difficult for those of us born to House Eridanus. Many in the sector see us as cold, but nothing could be further from the truth. Nearly all the Eridanii I know feel quite deeply, are passionate about their work and their friendships, and can love with a force that might feel overwhelming were it allowed to be fully expressed. But these depths are tempered by our attention to propriety and our dedication to our sacred work.
Similarly, the Eridanus obsession with our work is as notorious as it is admirable. Often it is extremely difficult for us to relinquish control to others, fearing - as we do - that entrusting such work to anyone else will necessarily make the end product inferior, or worse, that the work simply will not be completed at all. As difficult as it may be, we must fight against that urge and learn to surrender the smallest bit of responsibility to those who would attend to our duties when we are unavailable.
(And a wedding is a fantastic reason to be unavailable. Guard your time together selfishly, as your duties will always conspire to rob you of it.)
All this to say that I hope the difference in the customs of our two Houses will serve not as a barrier that you and Xavier must break down from opposite sides, but as a bridge that you will walk together.

Of course a wealth of additional customizations are available, and I intend to work closely with our Gemsmiths at Trilliant to ensure they create something which matches your personality precisely.
