ok so for those not in the know about Gunnail; that "S-Power" item only spawns when you lose your last HP, intended to be collected when you insert a credit and continue to give you a little boost out the gate. it, of course, gives you bullshit firepower.

i bring all of that up to say; i have no idea why i did not collect it when i realise the game had done an Oopsie Daisy and rendered what SHOULD have been a game over null and void because I "successfully" beat the boss. especially as not only was this intended to be a single credit run (as most of my arcade game plays are these days), in this particular mode i'm playing, continues are *disabled* so there IS no way to access the S-Power item at all. I think I was just too stunned that this didn't count as a game over

i watched this clip back a ton of times just to make absolutely certain that that shit with the curler was deliberate, and as far as i can tell it was, so y'know what, i can't even be mad, take the dub buddy
