one day I’m gonna do a writeup on use of violence in the x files because it fascinates me that the violence is kinda gendered (between scully and mulder, I can’t really speak on all the side characters). scully is allowed to get parasites and worms under her skin and covered in alien slime and other supernatural forms of harm while, of the two, only mulder can get hit, slapped, kicked, beaten, shot, etc

reminds me a bit of how in vince gilligan shows, women go through severe emotional tolls and only men really receive lasting physical injury

I understand that the show has long been over but, for feminism, let dana scully get shot by a gun

I do not GAZE at Scully 😠

I just sync my breathing to match hers and I’ve taught myself to smell when she is upset. I learnt her thesis off by heart before I ever even met her and I angle my body towards hers whenever we’re in the same room. I watch her sleeping sometimes and I bought her matching pyjamas that I keep in my bedroom and one day I’ll give to her.

I do not GAZE though and frankly I’m offended by-
