TO THE PERSON WHO LOVES HER NEXT
For the love of god please take care of her. Her heart has been damaged by countless others before you, something that I hopelessly wished I could have saved her from. Because holy fuck has she never deserved it. Maybe you don’t know it yet but this girl is going to change your life. She thinks she brings nothing but pain to everyone who touches her. Like a thorn on a rose, something that will make you bleed if you ever hold on too tight. What she doesn’t know is that truly its quite the opposite. Her words are filled music notes and love poems. She is the first fall of snow in the winter, a cold glass of ice tea on a hot summers day. Please protect her with all that you have, be the change in her world she so desperately needs. Show her how good and easy love can be. Because wow will she be worth it. You have no idea.

What Can I Do...
I'm not weak nor am I fragile. I'm just not satisfied. I don't think I'll ever be satisfied.
Alfredo!
One of my son’s ordered Alfredo when we were on a skiing trip in December. He has been talking of it ever since so I finally got the hint and served it for dinner. No only was it easy, it was a great hit and there are so many ways you can embellish it. I does seem like a lot of butter, but it is worth the splurge. Enjoy!
Easy Alfredo
(adapted from The New York Times Cookbook)
I lb. pasta (you could go traditional an serve Fettuccine, but feel free to use what you like, we did it with bowties)
1/4 lb butter but in 8 parts
pepper
1 cup half-and-half (or just improvise as I did with cream and milk)
1/4 pound grated parmesan (this made me want a better grater!)
optional embellishments: bacon bits (or real bacon, or even prosciutto), peas, broccoli, spinach, etc.
Cook the pasta in salted boiling water. Drain and put back in the pan over low heat. Add the butter and grind a bunch of pepper over the pasta. Add the half-and-half and allow to heat up, stirring until it is mostly absorbed. Add the cheese and stir until well coated.
I served mine like this with the add-ons on the table so the kids could choose how to spruce it up.
This is a summary of college only using two pictures; expensive as hell.
That’s my Sociology “book”. In fact what it is is a piece of paper with codes written on it to allow me to access an electronic version of a book. I was told by my professor that I could not buy any other paperback version, or use another code, so I was left with no option other than buying a piece of paper for over $200. Best part about all this is my professor wrote the books; there’s something hilariously sadistic about that. So I pretty much doled out $200 for a current edition of an online textbook that is no different than an older, paperback edition of the same book for $5; yeah, I checked. My mistake for listening to my professor.
This is why we download.

Spreading this shit like nutella because goddamn textbooks are so expensive.
not necessarily art related but as someone who couldn’t afford their textbooks this semester this is a godsend
REBLOGGING because after a little digging, I found my $200 textbook for free in PDF form.
friendly reminder that this exists since I know we’re all going back to college soon
Will reblog every time I see it.

Joining a Great Organization
This previous weekend was convention for DPhiL sisters. It was a great experience in Chicago. Looking back, I'm glad I joined this sorority my first semester in college. I enjoy the fact that we are still newly established on my campus so then I am able to witness the growth and development that lie ahead. I enjoy the fact that I have met so many sisters across the states. I enjoy the fact that we are bonded together with commonality. I am highly satisfied being in Delta Phi Lambda Asian Interest Sorority, Inc. After this weekend, I am newly inspired to make DPhiL thrive on campus.
The Return of Bittersweet Emotions
I miss home... Yet I know it has nothing to offer me if I return.
Self-doubt... that has to be a person's worse enemy...right? College is suppose to be about self-discovering, enlightenment, and discovering your passion isn't it? I am doubting my capabilities right now. I never thought I'd be struggling so much.
Obviously I haven't been on this account for a while. I'm not sure why actually... I've just preferred posting on my main one. However, here goes my newly established goal in college...I've decided to cut meat out of my diet. Reason for this? I feel as if red meat is too involved in my life. I have it almost everyday. It's time to cut it out for a while. Today marks the second day I've gone without it. I'm sure I won't miss it anytime soon. With this being said, I need new recipes to whip some grub up. I love cooking so any suggestion is something I wouldn't mind trying.
It’s funny because Americans wont get it
this is killing me. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
i was tempted to write what it means, but then i thought

NO THIS ISN’T FUNNY, TELL US WHAT IT MEANS

I’m an american and I get this joke. What’s not to get? There’s a fucking chip on the glass. Chill the fuck out ppl.

I'm a DPhiL butterfly
Yup that's right. I can't believe I never blogged anything about being a sister. It's such a great experience and it's made my experience so much better here. I feel at home :) I love everyone I've met so far and I can't wait to meet more sisters! Inspire #14 Doc Lineage University of Iowa Colony Chapter
I really appreciate everyone that's been in my life.
Moving away has drawn me closer to many people yet further from others. I’ve come to appreciate everyone who’s made an effort to keep in contact.
I appreciate those who tend to hover, who have been in my life since a young age, and who are always checking up on me.
So many friends have come and gone, but to the ones that are still around: I thank ya.
