I, Ondřej Dyrka, quit SCV Rush after 3 years and 2 months
www.scvrush.com launched in February 2011 as a simple blog about Starcraft 2 (back when 3Gate Sentry expand was a thing in PvZ). I wasn't always in charge, but I was always the major driving force behind the project.
Under my supervision, SCV Rush provided Starcraft 2 fans and players with countless pieces of content, several juicy showmatches, some larger events but most importantly – hundreds of tournaments for casual players, always with a meaningful prize and most of the time with somewhat experienced live casting – it wasn't Tastosis, but normal players still could feel like superstars for a while.
You'd say that the largest accomplishment I'd brag about is the WhiteRa vs Ret showmatch with 120,000 views topping at 6,7k concurrent viewers – but I'm much more proud on the invisible, rarely mentioned and tireless 1,500+ hours spent on making Starcraft more fun for players who are not bound to make the WCS stage any time soon.
I cannot describe the amount of gratitude I feel towards bygone and current volunteers. Dads with families, grown men and women hand in hand with college or even high school students working, week after week for nothing but joy and love for Starcraft. It is quite incredible and amazing and I always blushed when they thanked me for the opportunity – I was and am the one in debt.
SCV Rush continues as normal with Travis "Roxas" Duncan as my replacement in charge. According to him, you should "expect more tournaments and other awesome things in the upcoming months" :)
Jakub "Darthslayer" Arnold (developer and co-founder) and Nelle "Dex" S. (graphic and long-time inner circle member) also leave with me, giving this organization a truly fresh start.
Good bye!
PS: The puppies are too cute to need any context.
