Confession!

I haven't watched the new season yet and probably won't for a few days. But my sydcarmy curiosity killed the cat, so I went snooping through the tag. And although things may not have went the way we were hoping, I can definitely say with full confidence that Sydney and Carmy are in love regardless. I can just feel it in the gifs and quotes I've seen.

I'll share my thoughts on the season another time after I finally watch. But I just wanted to say thank you to this little shipping bubble of the fandom. I'm so grateful that I got to experience all of this with you guys, as someone who was struggling finding people to talk about not only this ship with but the show. Thank you for allowing me to share my thoughts and even just promo updates. And thank you to all of the fan artists, editors, meta writers, etc. You all have made this incredibly fun over the years.

In the Goodbye episode, I may be overthinking, but Sydney's line:

It's how she separates herself, and then the later eruption of the whole argument being You're my partner! And Carmy still gets upset with this, though it's clear Sydney has separated herself from the restaurant, business, or working there.

It was clear that beneath the arguments about the restaurant, work, cooking, and the art of cooking itself was always about them and whatever it is that's going on beneath the surfact. Something different from family, business, and The Bear.
