A couple of sneak peaks at an upcoming secret comic project.
Peter Clifton's "The Easybeats: Easy Come Easy Go/ Whats On The Flipside" DVD design
Always wondered why they took an immediate dislike to him.
Here are a few illustrations from a book I recently completed for Cengage Publishing. It's for primary-school English language students in the Arabian Peninsula countries. I was warned by my editer at the start that this might be a problematic project as we had to get the cultural sensitivities right- but it turned out to be a very straight forward and fun job. The only revisions were making sure the beard lengths on the characters were accurate!
Key art design for Airgirl, a short film by Patch Adams Productions. Recently screened at Canne and will be doing the film festival rounds. Make sure you check it out if you can!
"Johnny O'Keefe: A Celebration" DVD design & illustration. Out in August through Umbrella Entertainment.
Earlier this year I had some spare time up my sleeve so I undertook some pro-bono work for Cystic Fibrosis Victoria. Not only was it a great opportunity to apply my dark arts to a worthy cause, it also allowed me to stretch my design skills in a way that I don't get much call for.
Given the nature of freelancing, I'll no doubt have some more spare time in the future at which stage I'll put another call out.
Here's something I was tinkering with late last year. Planned as part of an 80's film series but I feel it's not as strong as the Ogre/Revenge of the Nerds one.
Teen Wolf is one of my favorite films.
AIR GIRL: Short film festival document. Awhile ago I designed a pitch document for Patch Adams Production for a short film they were trying to get made. It was completed recently and came up a treat! Great script, solid performances & was shot really beautifully. They asked me to create a film festival document for tor the film (pictured). If you get the opportunity to see it, do it. They’re ones to keep an eye on.
The Troubadour. Mixed media illustration (watercolour + pencil).

My comic about werewolves, vampires & true tales of Melbourne.
Read the first few chapters that were first published in Home Brew Vampire Bullets. Go buy HBVB #1-2.
Been sitting on this for awhile as I'm still fixing the backend adaptive functions. Works on tablets but not mobiles yet- but why would you be reading webcomics on a phone?
Built this from scratch with coding and everything!
AIR GIRL: A short film
A few months ago I worked with the team at Patch Adams Productions to produce a pitch document for their short film "Air Girl". A biographical drama depicting the true story of legendary aviatrix Jean Batten.
It was a really solid looking premise and the young group of actors & filmakers are surely going to be the ones to watch!
At the stage I jumped onboard there were no production assets to work with so I had to piece together a range of black & white archival photos from the real Jean Batten. Here's the publication cover:
The project is now well in production, but there's a Pozible campaign to help finish it off. Go check it out!
Knife Bastard #inktober
I was able to whip out some ink doodles yesterday as I was working on a couple of large Photoshop files yesterday, so had lots of free time while I waited for them to save.
This is a character sketch for a project that I'm pretty excited about. I just really need to knuckle down on it. If it's pulled off it'll be pretty awesome!
