magmamisaki:
Part of her was hesitant to explain her history before Team Magma. Especially to Kyogre. They were slowly reconciling yet she was not ready to embrace her as a friend. Not a close one at least. The grunt felt that explaining the reason she antagonized her was necessary. Only needing to provide a snippet, she had a feeling Fay was not going to push her to explain further. Â
Pleased to hear the kind words about Maxie, Misaki blushed faintly and nodded in agreement. The blush faded when she stuck out her pinky. Misaki blinked upon realizing she was willing to keep a secret. Was she serious? Well, she looked like it. She and Masquerain looked at each other, wondering if she should do the same. Slowly raising her own pinky finger, the woman replied.
âO-ok thank you. But please understand I wonât tell you exactly everything. I hope you understand. M-maybe we can talk when weâre alone.â
âItâs alright, I understand.â The Goddess smiled knowingly before locking her pinkie with Misakiâs, âIt takes time to be able to open up to someone, to be able to reveal important secrets to one another, especially considering how we began.âÂ
âI never used to want to tell a soul on my past, but now I feel as if Iâm a better judge of people, I know who I can trust now. So, I understand whatâs going through your head right now.âÂ
Faylan seemed to stare at the woman in front of her, for only a moment. Perhaps there was hope yet, but maybe sheâd have to make that first step.Â
âJust...know, that Iâm sorry for how I acted. Looking back now I feel as if my jealous younger self was trying to bleed through. I have no justification for how I acted, and Iâm really sorry. I want us to be able to move on, maybe we could...be friends eventually?â
Semi-Hiatus
//Sorry I havenât been active on either of my blogs lately, Iâve gotten pretty bogged down with classwork recently alongside my mom being pretty sick and itâs justâŚa tad out of control atm and Iâve lost my muses for all my characters. So, as much as I hate to, Iâll be putting my blogs on a Semi-Hiatus.Â
Iâll pop in and do my best to reply when I can, but if things bog me down like this, I may end up putting them on a full hiatus until the end of the semester. So sorry everyone.

magmamisaki:
The young woman did not know how to react to the sorrowful expression on her face. It seemed regretful, as if recalling an agonizing memory. Despite not openly expressing concern for Faylanâs past, she was stunned with her recklessness. As Kyogre, she always seemed so calm and content. The fact she imperiled many lives was difficult to imagine. Though she did get a glimpse of her other personality that may have driven the fight.
In life there were no erasers. Everything that happened was irreversible. Misaki accepted the fact she made the mistake of mistreating Fay. Except she was not going to live long enough to dwell in regret. Honestly she was not sure if they could forgive each other. Aqua and Magmaâs stupidity was the only thing they could agree on.
âI d-donât agree with them either. The only reason I support our cause is to repay our leader for his kindness.â Knowing what she was referring to, Masquerainâs pupils peered down at her. âThis isnât the t-time or place toâŚexplain everything, but I would advise you keep it between us to prevent my loyalty to be questioned.â
Fay smiled slightly, âIf youâll allow me to...impart some advice to you. Always follow your heart, regardless of others. Always do what you believe is right. Iâve learned that the hard way.â
Kyogre could tell that perhaps, just maybe, there was hope for the two reconciling, she hated to make enemies among humans. Sheâd moved on from that after all.Â
âMaxie can be a rather thoughtful man, canât he? I can see why so many are willing to follow in his footsteps, heâs a natural born leader.â However, at her next statement, Fayâs smile grew and she laughed softly as if in amusement. Or was it happiness? After all, this meant Misaki trusted her enough to keep a vital secret. The Goddess quickly stuck out her pinkie in the fashion of a pinkie promise, âYour secret is safe with me! Donât worry, I wonât tell a thing, that wouldnât be right of me.â

magmamisaki:
Despite her distaste towards Faylan, She still respected Kyogre as much as Groudon and Rayquaza. They were meant to be powerful yet supportive of the environment they guarded. They were not necessarily evil.Â
In Team Magma and Aquaâs case however, Groudon and Kyogre were a threat. If Aqua captured Fay, Maxieâs dreams would be crushed and her freedom would be seized. As his supporter, Misaki wanted him to succeed instead. She disagreed with using the Earth deity to make his vision a reality, but tried to convince herself everything would be okay. Sometimes she doubted he could control the beast. With no say in the matter, Misaki hoped that she did not need to fight Fay if she got in Maxieâs way.
Masquerain rolled her eyes, thinking Fay was stupid enough to believe all Magmas disliked water.
âIt is rather unusual for someone in my position to like water. B-but I like it just as much as the land. Not a lot of people at work like the water forâŚsome reason. Guess thatâs why they joined the team.â The grunt joked with a small laugh. âI think land and water are equally important. They canât live without each other. Even if youâŚf-fought with the other.â
âIf...there is one thing I want to do...â The Goddess spoke meekly, âI want to protect this world, with everything in my being. It sounds so strange hearing myself say that, after all those years of hatred and fighting, but Iâve come to realize that Arceusâ purpose for myself and Groudon are to protect and nurture you humans. Thatâs why...I wonât allow myself to be caught, by anyone. I am going to defend this world until my last breath if thatâs what it takes.âÂ
She paused, trying to collect her words, âPerhaps that is why Iâm so against Aqua and Magma, bringing us back to fulfill your own purposes will only lead to the destruction of so many people.â
The Goddess shook her head quickly, âIâm sorry, I got a little carried away I suppose.â Her smile returned as Misaki explained, âYouâre right, I think itâs...important that the land and water work together, yet these teams make it so very hard to make that obvious.â
She carefully placed a hand on her chest, over that cursed scar, before she continued, âWe...had our reasons to fight. We were both young, naive, and stupid. We thought one of us had to dominate the earth, and in our haste we forgot the humans. I regret those times, fully.â
magmamisaki:
When Fayâs blue eyes looked at her, a mix of good and bad feelings rushed into her system. There was a brief delay where Misaki just stared at her without saying a word. She adjusted her arm still holding onto the fabric reminding her that she still needed to pay for it. Gazing into the eyes of someone she despised was awkward for her. Misaki usually did not hold grudges, but there were some people she could not stand. The attention she received from Kyogre confirmed she was impressed with the apology and sympathy.Â
Still, there was something about the âFayâ persona that she loathed. The grunt could not  see her as a respected legendary. The thought of waking up after a long slumber to realize loved ones had passed on was depressing though.Â
âIâm not unreasonable.â Replied the grunt. âIâm assuming time moves faster for you. Itâs only natural for change to blossom in the blink of an eye. It mustâve been very lonely though, not being able to see your friends. Although, I cannot say that I trust you yet. Ulterior motives or no y-youâre still a potential threat especially when you get caught. Though I am p-pleased to hear your dedication to the ocean.â
The Goddess stared hesitantly back at Misaki, uneasy from such heavy eye contact, yet she dared not break it. She couldnât help but feel as if there was a part of Misaki that really didnât like her and that was something the Goddess coud not shake, no matter how she tried.
But, still, part of her didnât want to give up on trying to make whatever amends she needed to with Misaki, she didnât like making enemies anymore.
Fay gave a nod, âYes, time moves...rather quickly for us. Before we know it a new era is upon us. You mortals think that immortality would be a blessing. Yet...itâs not fun. I was so unbearably alone when I woke, Iâd lost my closest friends the only ones I could turn to. It really takes itâs toll on one.â
Perhaps that was why she was always so susceptible to Primal Reversion. Faylan however, chose not to share that piece of information as she listened. âI can...understand your caution. I am a threat to you, to your team, to Maxie...to so many people.â The woman smiled softly, âThat is one trait of mine that will never go away. I will always remain dedicated to the one thing that is my reason to live. However, if you donât mind me saying, Iâm surprised you are as interested in the ocean as much as you are.â
magmamisaki:
The janitor was not the only one with a busy schedule. Day off or no Misaki was doing something productive as well. There were moments where she accidentally fell asleep on her desk just for someone wake her up. It was embarrassing. Upon realization that she and Adrian had not spent much time together she was devastated. She longed to embrace him in her arms. When he invited her to go shopping she was thrilled.
Their shared day-off came and they went to the Lilycove Department Store that had a sale. During the whole trip she had her arm linked around his. They bought what they needed while saving money at the same time. The woman purchased a tee, hoodie and skirt for half price. Afterwards they headed to the beach upon Adrianâs request. Misaki had nothing against it and thought taking a stroll on the beach would be nice. As they walked she nodded at his inquiry.Â
âOf course I did. Any time spent with you is always good. Do you want to get some ice cream?â
It was just a normal day for the Sea Goddess, one she assumed she would spend alone. Yet, despite that, Faylan had busied herself with one of her diving excursions. On the ocean floor, she knew she would be sure to find at least some treasures worth bringing back to her cave at the end of the day.Â
She had to admit, her normal cave hadnât given her much to work with. Carefully, the Goddess emerged from the ocean, holding her bag close to herself. Sheâd been lucky enough to find a few geodes that Fay thought she could use for some nice pieces of jewelry. The young woman dropped the bag in the sand as she gently wrung the water out of her hair. However, just as she looked up, she caught sight of two very familiar faces.
The Goddess smiled eagerly as her hand shot into the air and waved, âAdrian, Misaki! Hello you two! I didnât expect to see you two here.â
magmamisaki:
Fayâs response surprised her. From what she recalled she was peppy and confident before. Now she was glumly accepting the truth, relieving the grunt. At first she thought she was going to make up excuses, but she didnât.Â
Feeling guilty for bringing up the reaction from her, Misaki sighed. Mandy pitied them. She knew her trainer well enough that she was not the type to bully anyone. Making Fay feel bad was never their intention. However, Misaki was aware that the things she said were offensive. She considered apologizing.
âIâmâŚsorry I had no idea. It mustâve been difficult. But being a guardian isnât so bad. It must be an honor to serve him.â Misaki tried to be determinedly cheerful. âIâm in no position to tell you what to do. But what youâre doing concerns me. The only good thing I see is the willingness to explore the world. At the same time youâre interfering with it. If you were born a normal human you wouldnât be carrying the burden of responsibilities. But you are. You canât keep this disguise up forever or else you may lose yourself. Your true self.â
Slowly, the Goddess dared to meet eyes with the grunt, her eyes flicking across her features as if searching for some kind of reaction. However, she was surprised to see that maybe Misaki wasnât disappointed in her like she thought she wouldâve been. She was surprised when she apologized.
Quickly, Fay shook her head, âNo, you donât have to apologize, itâs alright. It was certainly hard on me to figure out that during my slumber Iâd outlive those friends Iâd made and any others I made...it wasnât nice waking up and realizing how much things had changed and how many people Iâd lost.â
The woman fell silent her mind trailing to the past and the many people who had made the beginning of her life such a joy, shaking her head, she continued, âBut yes, youâre right, serving Arceus is such an honor, to be among the great legends who formed the universe and the planet that IÂ got to help bring life to. Itâs overwhelming to think about sometimes. I love my position, but...sometimes I just wonder. I suppose thatâs just normal curiosity.â
Misakiâs words...took Faylan by surprise, blinking quickly, expressing her concerns. She didnât realize that Misaki actually did hold some concern or care for her well-being. Sheâd thought that...Misaki disliked her, or even hated her because of what had happened last time. âI...appreciate your concern. I had no idea youâd felt that way but, if youâre worried about me wanting to abandon my responsibilities, whatever burdens I may have to live with, then I assure you there is nothing to worry about. Each time I look at the ocean or in the eyes of the pokemon who dwell within it, Iâm reminded of why Iâm here, reminded of my purpose. I would never, ever, think of abandoning my duties to my ocean, my creation.â
He excitedly hands over a wrapped box, inside of which is a water stone neatly tucked inside. "Found it on my last cave exploration! I thought of you."
Fay smiled as she took the box, âOh! Thank you Adrian! I got you something as well.â The Goddess hands over a box neatly wrapped in red paper, inside was a necklace, a piece of opal had been carefully carved into the shape of a nosepass, threaded through the charm was a simple piece of dark brown leather with a silver clasp.Â
âI hope you like it, I tried something new so I hope it turned out okay.â Fay however turned her attention to the box in her hands, carefully opening it, âOh! Itâs a water stone!  Itâs very pretty Adrian, thank you! Iâll keep it on me always, it can be my good luck charm for my shows!âÂ
magmamisaki:
Feeling her watchful gaze, Mandy stared back at her. Skeptical of Kyogre as well, the Pokemon secretly felt bad for her because she reduced herself to a human and received a sour impression from Misaki. Unable to comprehend why she wanted to be in human form, she thought she deserved better. To her, being a Pokemon was better than a human. They were sturdier and stronger.Â
Fixated on Fay, Mandy noticed something familiar about her. The longer Fay smiled comprehensively, the more she resembled Misaki. They were timid and nice people. What an interesting comparison she thought.
Meanwhile, the grunt was pleased to hear that she heeded her responsibilities. Disguise or no, she was still upset with the fact that she was âexposing herselfâ to the public.
âGuardian? All I see is someone trying too hard to fit in. No offense but youâre better off back where you belong. I-Iâm sure thereâs plenty to do there. This isnât a safe haven for you. H-how do you know you wonât get caught?â
Feeling that stare from Mandy, Fay turned her attention to the pokemon, giving a gentle smile and a little wave. She could tell that at least the pokemon wasnât planning to strike any time soon, yet perhaps there was a little pity in the masquerainâs eyes? The Goddess couldnât be sure, however her attention was turned back to meet Misakiâs eyes.
She had to admit, the grunt wasnât wrong. She did try far too hard sometimes to fit in with people when she knew well that she wasnât human. The Goddess fidgeted, âYes...I know this isnât a safe haven and thereâs no guarantee that I wonât be caught. Yet, itâs...much safer for me to just pretend and try to fit in.â Faylan stared down at the ground as if ashamed about what she was going to say next.
âSometimes all I want is to just fit in. After being asleep for so many years, all Iâd like to do is travel the world and see just what has changed. But, maybe thatâs selfish. Itâs hard to do that with Aqua around, there are times in which I wish that I had been a normal human instead of what I am now.â The Goddess lamented keeping her eyes on the floor, âI find myself now, more than ever, wondering how different my existence wouldâve been had I been born as a human those centuries ago and lived peacefully. Yet, I suppose even Arceus has his reasons for picking me or any of the others.âÂ
magmamisaki:
For someone who had a negative experience with the grunt, Fay was in an unusually peppy mood. It was unlike the last time where she got defensive. Misaki thought the deity would have ignored her and bolted for the elevator if it was opened. Regardless the Hoennian still did not trust her.Â
Avoiding the same topic as well, she kept the same neutral expression as Kyogre droned on. She noticed Vaporeon curling her tail around the goddessâs. Everything that came from the goddessâs mouth was a jumble of words geared towards Misakiâs life than her own. A bit surprised, Misaki was not convinced that she actually cared. This idiot was trying to be friendly with her to avoid trouble in a public. Although, she was pleased with her complimenting Maxie and Mandy. The Eyeball âsmiledâ proudly.
âWhy thank you. I-I always make sure theyâre taken care of. Iâm certain you would do the same. After all you do have big responsibilities like watching over the ocean.â The woman half-joked while keeping the otherâs identity a secret. âHow irresponsible for you to leave it for this.â
Fay continued to keep up her nervous smile, she could only hope that it would be enough to keep anything from escalating. However, the Goddess kept a watchful eye over the grunt and her pokemon, she still wasnât sure she could trust Misaki yet. But...Fay did want to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe all she had to do was show Misaki that she wanted to be friendly, that she actually wanted to make an effort for them to be friends. Things would be okay then, right?Â
However, after Misakiâs comment, Fay was sure that maybe it wasnât possible. âWell of course I take great care of the pokemon who seek refuge with me. Each one gets personally cared for and if they are wounded, I tend to them until theyâre healthy enough to leave my care.â Giving a laugh the Goddess shook her head, âAh now it seems irresponsible now doesnât it? I assure you, I would know if there were any disturbances there. After all, even a guardian like myself needs a break for herself. Surely even you understand that.â
magmamisaki:
With a pair of scissors in hand, a Sales Associate cut off 10 feet of white fabric with a pink floral pattern for Misaki, standing on the other side of the counter. Sitting on top of her head was Masquerain. It was nice that the department store had a fabric section in one of the lower floors. As someone who liked to sew, the grunt decided to make a shirt for herself. The fabric she chose was on sale and was suited for the project.Â
After the Sales Associate finished cutting, she folded it up into a square before handing it over to the grunt who thanked her. With the fabric tucked under her arm, Misaki and Mandy headed upstairs to check out the plushies. As usual they were adorable, but Misaki did not want to waste anymore money. She was about to leave until she spotted a familiar face in the distance.Â
Oh gosh it was Fay, that idiot girl who almost flooded the base. Arching a brow, the grunt strolled over to her as she tried to retreat. Once she was behind her she spoke in a flat tone. Mandy huffed snootily.Â
âOhâŚhello Fay. What a coincidence meeting you here. How have you been?â
Fay braced herself as she heard the footsteps behind her, holding her breath as she heard Misakiâs voice. Slowly, the Goddess turned her head before turning to address the woman.
âAh! Oh...hello Misaki. I-Itâs very nice to see you again.â She smiled nervously, âIâve been very well, business has been well, keeps me busy these days. Oh, what about you? I hope things are well with you and Magma.âÂ
âI have no doubts that Maxie is treating you all well, heâs a good man after all.â Faylan fidgeted slightly as she pushed a strand of her hair behind her ear.Â
As long as Fay could...avoid discussions of a certain someone, everything would be fine! There wouldnât be any huge confrontation...in a public place. The Vaporeon at her side seemed to look over the new person with much scrutiny her tail curling around the Goddessâ feet.
âI see your Masquerain is with you, she seems to be doing very well! Itâs always nice to see a pokemon thatâs well cared for. Iâve...seen my fair share of pokemon who have been left hurt, it warms my heart to see trainers who care for them so well.â
viggorofmagma:
As Cole opened the door to the shop, he was wondering why the whale had scheduled yet another meeting with him. Â It had not even been a week since her last appearance, yet there she was again. Â She seemed just as excited as the last time, and somehow even more confident in herself. Â Hopefully, her announcement this time would be something worthwhile.
As he scanned around, he noticed her sitting by one of the large windows.  Shortly after, Fay saw him, and started flailing her arms around  while calling his name.  Slowly, the grunt approached the small table, taking a seat next to the woman.
âGood morning. Â I do not have much time before I have to leave for work, so I am afraid we will have to make this brief.â
A warm smile spread across her features as she nodded, âSure, I understand, work is pretty important after all.â Â
âWell, Iâm sure youâve no doubt heard of the Alola region, right? Those new pokemon that thereâs been talk of?â her smile quickly grew, âI saved up from two of my shows to get us...these.â
Faylan quickly reached into her back pocket, pulling the tickets out of her back pocket before placing them on the table, âTada! Two round trip tickets to the tropical Alola region!âÂ
