For as scary as a person as most saw Umi as, for as strict and stern as the girl could be, she was always surprisingly good at this sort of thing when she needed to be. Even growing up, it seemed that Umi ( and Kotori, really ) always knew what was on her mind, what to say or do to cheer her up.
Well, maybe Honoka didn’t exactly feel ‘cheered up’ just yet…. but the warm hand placed over her own is a comfort nonetheless.
“Well… when you say it like that it sounds kinda silly…” Honoka notes, her voice barely more than a childish mumble. Still, a moment later and she allows her fingers to loosely twine with Umi’s. “But a lot of things are changing lately. Things that… I never thought I’d have to worry about changing….”
A groan.
“Maybe that’s my for not thinking ahead. Erf…”
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean for it to sound like that.” Even though the brief smile that was there on her lips would make you think otherwise. It was always like this with Honoka, and with how childish she seemed to sound, she couldn’t help smiling just a little. Though she met nothing bad by it whatsoever.
Umi’s eyes looked down at her hand, noting how Honoka had intertwined their fingers together. Even if it was rather normal for them, it still made Umi blush faintly. In return she gave her hand a faint squeeze, and one of her thumbs lightly brushed against her skin. It was one of the few ways she could try to comfort her the way they were positioned now.
“But I know what you mean... A lot has happened to us, and things are going to change again soon... I’m sure all of us are worried, but I don’t think it will mean our friendships will end. After everything we’ve been through, I’m certain that we’ll always be together. No matter what the future holds for us...”
Blue hues gave a glance to the other girl, hoping to see that what she said would make her feel even a little better. It was understandable that Honoka would feel this way though.
Thinking of the future could make anyone worry, given enough time.
“it’s because of you that we’re all here together now, and none of us want that to change. So don’t think too much on it, okay?”
Umi seemed to look very pleased that about the tea. She was a little glad given she didn’t have anything special and still had to stock up on the different teas that the Minami household usually had. Black and Green was nice… but honestly she would prefer having all types of teas to choose from.
Kotori squeaked in her small surprised manner. Her hands quickly going to her chest to try and calm her quickening heartbeat. Had her identity as Minalinsky really been found by a stranger?! Had she accidentally invited in a fan from the cafe she hadn’t seen before?! “E-Eh?! T-That isn’t true… I-I’m very boring! I don’t really do anything but hang out with my friends.”
She had to come up with something fast… “A-A friend of mine actually works a cafe… She suggested our class do one for the school culture festival… she said I had a natural feel about it is all…”
A lie that was actually a half truth… it wasn’t the full story but it would do.
“Sonoda-san said she just moved here… so where did she come from before coming to Akiba? What kind of things did you do there?” She had to wonder. She didn’t bother asking where she would be going to school. After all, Otonokizaka was closing… Her mom had told her that much. This girl would surely go to UTX in that case… She would probably never see her again.
Not to mention Otonokizaka would close for sure with them losing students out to UTX not too far away. There wasn’t anything they could do… But getting that out of her mind she tried to smile and listen to her guest.
“From how you’re acting, I would say that isn’t the full story. But it’s okay, I won’t push any further. It would be rude of me to upset the person who invited me into her wonderful home, no?” Still, even while saying that, her smirk stayed true as she took a sip of the tea. As expected, it tasted wonderful. Nothing special, of course not, but it didn’t mean that it couldn’t have such a sweet taste to it when done right.
The question brought a quick glance to the side from the vampire, who had to take a moment to think of a proper lie for it.
She had traveled around through her years as a vampire, and attended a few schools when she felt that it was time to refresh upon things, but none of that would really work for this. Especially if someone ever got curious on any records she had, then there would be some trouble.
“I lived in a quiet place away from any cities... I was mostly home taught and spent my time with archery and writing. But I don’t want to bore you with my unexciting life. Instead, I have a question for you.” The cup she had was set aside before she continued. “Do you by chance attend Otonokizaka? I am told that I will be transferring there starting next week. My family wishes for me to attend to a real school and try to make friends.”
A lie, almost all of it, but there was something about Kotori here that she wished to learn more about. And what better way to do that then attend the same school? Of course there would be the issue of getting things together in order to attend, but with her powers, it wouldn’t take long.
Eli’s problem was how much she loved Umi. How crazy she loved the girl. How this girl who always tried to be so serious for the sake of her childhood friends always ended up so cute… Not to mention beautiful. Though of course there was also the valuable friendship that started this… Having been the student council president made her thoughtful, perhaps too much so in cases like this but… She cared… a lot.
At the mention of being okay with being more intimate, Eli blushed. She was so cute… Eli had to restrain herself from pulling her in too much… But she gently moved her hand to cup to younger girl’s face. Her beautiful and wonderful girlfriend… She let out a giggle as she spoke “We’ll learn together, right? Even if Umi-chan can’t wait romantic films without thinking their shameless…”
Eli’s cleared her throat a little, trying to shake off the stutter and the jittery nerves she had gotten in all this getting worked up. “But despite your okay… when we do get more initimate, should you ever… feel too overwhelmed and want to stop, you will let me know immediately, okay? No matter what I might tease or say… You don’t have to rush and grow up too fast. We have plenty of time together.”
Even though their time in school together was short… that didn’t mean that they wouldn’t have time. They could grow up together one step at a time if Umi wanted to. Eli pulled herself closer and pressed her lips back on Umi’s, quickly pulling away with a kind smile. The gentle peck giving way for a slightly longer kiss. Each kiss she pulled back and hesitated before going longer and longer.
“Th-that’s not fair, Eli... uuu... I’m never going to live that moment down.” There was a sigh at that comment. Honestly, it’s not her fault. She wasn’t used to seeing such things, and it wasn’t like she was all too interested in such a thing much beforehand.
Oh well, at least she knew Eli was just trying to poe fun at her. So she wasn’t too upset to begin with.
“I will, Eli... I know that I can trust you to hold yourself back for my sake. I just don’t want you holding yourself back from everything.” Even before she could say much else, she found herself being drawn back into a kiss. And then another, and another. Each one was longer and her cheeks began to flush again because of it. She soon had to stop them from coming because she never got a real chance to breath between each one.
Through her breathing she was smiling though, and decided to rest against Eli for a moment until she was able to speak.
“Hey... I want to make it up to you for all of this, since we really didn’t get any work done. W-would you.. like to come stay at my place for the night? We can actually get our work done and just spend some time together.”
This was turning out a lot better than she could have ever expected. This girl had a lot more… honor than she expected. Any other person might have kicked her out because they weren’t expecting a person when taking her form home… She didn’t wanna mention how deceitful her form could be.
But… she had to think, it’s not exactly the most normal thing that a person takes a fox home of all things, a dog or a kitten sure, maybe even a bird or something. But… were there really people who took foxes home if they were injured? What a weird girl…. this one… She couldn’t deny that that was helping her though.
“N-No, you don’t have to feel obligated like that. An animal is way different from caring take of a person and nursing it back to health. or well I guess in this case a spirit.” Eli had to say this even if she needed the help…
“E-Eh? Can you really get it fixed for me?” She asked curiously, her eyes lit up slightly as she looked at her damaged clothes. She had those clothes for ages… plus it would be nice to have something that fit her. “I’d really appreciate that.”
Seeing her smile really made her heart jump a little and caused her stutter. She was pretty when she smiled. She turned her lips up a little and smiled herself. “Sonoda, Thank you, really… I know you didn’t have to do all this for me… but I really do appreciate it. I haven’t seen human kindness like this in… deca– err… a while.”
“Perhaps I’m overstepping your kindness, but could I perhaps get a glass of water? I didn’t realize till now how thirsty I felt…” Her throat felt scratchy, she hadn’t felt like this… in a while. She must really be losing it.
“I’m not taking no for an answer, you’re injured and need to be taken care of, so that’s what I’m going to do. It doesn’t matter if you’re human or animal. And as for this, yes. I have a friend who is really good with clothing. she can have it fixed up for you within a few days.”
It was strange of her to do this, especially for someone who just comes in and confesses to being a spirit, but Umi wasn’t about to go back on her word just because of the... strangeness to all of this. That’s just not how it worked. Especially since this girl was injured, could she really just kick her out when she’s down? How rude that would be...
Eyes glanced over at Eli when she spoke her thanks. Her smile was really pretty... Umi wasn’t sure why, but the way she smiled was really nice. She liked how it looked. Was that weird? Probabaly. “I-it’s no problem at all. I offered to take care of you and I don’t mind fulfilling it. I’m sure we’ll have you better in no time.”
“Ah... yes, give me a moment. I’ll be right back with your water.” Umi stood up and stepped out of her room. A few minutes seemed to pass, and there seemed to be some noise coming from outside the door before Umi finally came back in with a glass of water in hand. Along with this was some snacks she had prepared for the other to eat.
“I thought you could use something to eat as well... and I talked to my family, they think you’re a classmate that I’m taking care of for awhile, so you don’t need to worry.” The plate of snacks and glass were set down on a desk for Eli to eat at, and Umi sat down herself while gesturing for her to go ahead.
Eli shook her head quickly as the girl had thought the exact opposite of why she was so worried. “N-No… t-that isn’t it at all! I do… I do really like and want to do this… T-That isn’t my concern!”
Eli’s face turned another three shades darker as Umi finally put two and two together. “W-What do you expect a girl to think when you say things like that? This whole thing is really different from what I normally expect from you!”
This was so embarrassing, she never thought about stuff like that before… Ahhh what a mess she hadn’t meant to do this.
Eli’s face was too red for her to barely even speak now. And now she was resting on her chest. She was sure that Umi could hear how fast her heart was beating. She gently wrapped her arms around the younger girl’s waist and back. Trying to reach her as best as she could in her position.
“I-I wouldn’t say I want to stop. I-I just wanted to set a clear… boundary? If that’s the correct word, I s-sort of want to know where I should pipe in if…” She trailed off as she thought of the possibilities. Her losing her cool head was definitely one of those possibilities. She had expected to lose it some but… if it was really so much that she went too far then she knew…
“S-Sorry… I am just worried is all… A-After all, this is the first time I had any kind of relationship like this… But I don’t want you to be uncomfortable or feel odd about anything, okay?”
Oh yeah, Umi certainly could hear how fast that heartbeat was becoming. She had no idea what she was doing was getting to Eli so much, though it honestly should have been expected. This was one of the first times she really tried to do anything like this and it was probably way out of character for her. But how could she help it? She had been with Eli for some time now, and the thought of being able to at least show some kind of affection would be nice...
It still didn’t help how bad she had been teased for so long. Still, maybe she shouldn’t have gone as fast as she did.
“O-oh... Yes, I can see why you’d be worried now...” Umi took a second to think it over, adjusting so that she could be more face-to-face with Eli. “I shouldn’t have been so... quick to act like that. I had no idea that you would be so worried. I’m... this is also my first relationship too so I’m just as confused on what I should be doing.”
This wasn’t really what the girl had planned for the day. It certainly took a different turn, but she didn’t want to let this make things uncomfortable or strange for the both of them. All they had to do was talk and set a boundary like Eli wanted. That was about the best plan they were going to come up with right about now.
“Eli... I want to say that I’ve been... wanting to open up to you more. We’ve been together for a little while now and I’m okay with being a little more... i-intimate..” Oh God was her face burning by this point. It made her just want to hide her face against Eli by this point. “S-so.. you don’t have to worry o-okay? I promise i’m okay with this...”

“You always sound older than you are when you talk like that, Umi-chan.” Honoka notes quietly, eyes sliding shut. For as bad as her worries could end up making her feel, there was undoubtedly something comforting about moments like this.
Muse…. they were all her precious friends but, in the end, nobody could really match the relationship she had with Kotori and Umi. The three had been together since childhood; Honoka was well aware that if anyone could read her like a book, it was the ones who had been with her the longest.
And maybe something about that was a little reassuring, made it easier to be sincere.
“Umi-chan….we’ll always be friends, right? Me and you…. and Kotori-chan and everyone else. No matter what, that’s… not gonna change….. right…?”
Umi wasn’t sure if she should take what Honoka said as a compliment or an insult. For this, she decided on the former, seeing as Honoka didn’t mean anything bad about it. This made Umi seem like the more mature of the group too, which she would sometimes agree with.
She listened close to what was said, finding it... not really surprising that this kind of subject would be brought up at such a time. Honoka was one to always be worried about things, but it was something that had everyone wondering what would happen to them after Muse was done. Would they all still be friends?
“Well... I’d certainly hope so. We’ve been friends together for so long, and I’m sure all of us don’t want to lose each other. There wouldn’t be any reason for that to change now.”
Umi took one of Honoka’s hands and let her stay close for reassurance. “Is this what’s been on your mind? Do you think we’ll stop being friends?”

Kotori somehow felt that it was highly unlikely that it was the cold. This was an extreme… she would have to be out in much colder weather for this right? Or at least out for a very long time. It could really be something serious. She wondered for a minute if she should call Maki about this… Her parents were doctors after all! Maybe she could ask her parents about it.
Realizing she had left the girl hanging for so long, she blushed a little. She felt a little embarrassed that she had done that. “Ah… Minami Kotori is my name.”
Though feeling a little… wary, she invited the girl into her home. Her parents were both home and they were the same age. She had to doubt that she was dangerous. But that was something she would figure out another way. “I’m home! My room is upstairs and the first door to the left… U-Unless you wanna sit by the fire to warm up. That’s just in this room over here. Either way, I’ll go get us some tea!”
Kotori left to make some warm tea. Her mom had just made some expecting her arrival and she smiled, grabbing two cups and the other things she would need and headed out. “Sonoda-san?”
She finally met eyes with the other girl and smiled, bringing them the tea. “Sorry for the wait~” she chimed her in Minalinsky voice. She squeaked as she tried to bit down the master right after it and especially biting down the rest of that persona. That persona had to stay in the maid cafe she worked at! Nowhere else! “H-Here… Your tea…”
Minami Kotori... that was a pretty name, and one that Umi would make sure to keep in mind. For now she continued onward to her home. It was interesting, being invited so easily inside. It made her wonder how the rest of the night was going to play out.
Once inside, Umi decided to take Kotori’s advice of going to where the fire was. This was to make sure she continued to play the little game she had going on with her cold skin. It would also help her host calm down so it was something she could deal with for now. it also gave her a chance to explore the house some more; to see what was around, maybe what kind of family this was.
Eventually she decided to just take a seat and wait instead. It wasn’t too long before Kotori had made her way to the room to give her a cup of tea. What caught the vampire’s attention though was how she first started speaking. It seemed different than usual. Was she just hearing things? Hardly.
“Thank you. It looks delicious, and I hope it tastes just the same.” Umi hands took the cup and she brought it close to her mouth, where she softly blew on t to cool it off and then took a sip. “Mmm... Just as delicious as it looks~”
“So Minami-san,” she began while setting her cup down. “What do you do with your free time? Sorry if I’m asking too much, but the way you just spoke reminds of me something... Have I heard it from somewhere? Maybe a... café?” There was a giggle and smirk left on Umi’s face.

Eli couldn’t help be feel odd that she was being topped by Umi of all people. Especially when she was told to lay down on the bed and relax. How was she supposed to relax with this? Her heart was pounding and making her head spin with this whole situation. A lot more than Umi even knew. But she sat down on the bed first and gently laid down on her bed.
A small groan came out as soon as she felt the girl’s lips kiss her collarbone. The kiss sending shivers up her back as she continued going up along her body. She let out another grunt as she felt the small bite. “U-Umi… you better be hiding those marks… I-I’m still the student council president… I have a reputation to keep. Plus Headmistress Minami wouldn’t be happy about it either…”
Eli’s face turned even more red when she heard the girl whispered her affections. If wasn’t enough that Umi was kissing her, the affectionate tone was even more so embarrassing. Cute… Cute… Cute! The next words she spoke, she meant with her whole heart. “I-I love you too…”
The girl blushed realizing that Umi had been grabbing at the end of her clothing. Was Umi sure? Going this fast and pulling at her clothes like this? Even just a make-out session could get really heavy fast… Concern rose up in her throat quicker than she could bite it down. “U-Umi… W-We don’t have to rush that much. Really… You don’t need to go that far…”
The concern boiled through her more than she wanted. She couldn’t feel good if she was worried that the other girl was pushing herself too much.
Of course she was hiding those marks. Sure, she was doing something that was pretty out of character for her right now, but it didn’t mean she wasn’t being careful. Tugging on the shirt did expose some more of her skin, which left her room to actually leave marks from bites and kisses in the first place. Though, as long as she kept herself buttoned up she’d be okay. Nobody would know what they did here in private.
Hearing the sound of concern in Eli’s voice, Umi suddenly stopped what she was doing to look at her with a frown. “What do you mean...? I thought you would have liked it if I did this. Do you.. not want me to give you kisses? I thought you would have liked some.”
It took her a whole minute to realize what Eli’s actual concern was coming from, cheeks burning bright.
“E-Eli! I was just trying to give you some kisses and affection to say I’m sorry. I w-wasn’t going to go that far! Uuu... Not that I... wouldn’t want to. Just... I just wanted to make you a little happy right now...”
Umi seemed to pout now, resting her head on Eli’s slightly exposed chest. Why was it that the one time she wanted to do something more intimate her girlfriend had to become like a concerned mother. Nothing was wrong, Umi just felt like maybe they could actually do something now. They’d been together for some time, yet suddenly they didn’t actually do much with each other besides study, practice, and whatever other activities they needed to do together
“Do you want to stop then..?” asked the unsure girl, slightly lifting herself up to stare at the other.
She probably should have expected an answer like that from Umi of all people. It almost reminds Honoka of when parents say they aren’t upset, just disappointed— sure, she didn’t have to tell the truth but…. it didn’t quite feel right to lie either. Still, with so much running through her head, where would she even start?
A sigh passes over the girl’s lips as she leans against Umi, the two practically shoulder to shoulder if not for the height difference that has Honoka’s cheek resting against the girl’s arm.
“Aha….. it’s not fair when you do that, y’know….. ‘m starting to think Umi-chan knows me a little too well.”
“Well someone seems to have to. It’s to make sure I know when something’s bothering you.”
Umi didn’t seem to mind her friend leaning against her shoulder like that. Something was wrong, and she needed a shoulder to lean on. Literally. It wasn’t like it was really bothering her either. Even she leaned a little on her as comfort, in a way.
“It hurts seeing you upset and trying to hide it just for the sake of others happiness. So again, I’m here to listen when you’re ready to speak.”

Kotori was really rather shocked that she was the one knocked down. Had she really gone that fast trying to get home? Perhaps she had considered it… but it still made very little sense… ah well…
She’s… cold, like ice… The feeling of the cool hands felt like something familiar but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. The flushed feel of her cheeks still making her head spin a little bit. Why was she making her look at her was really a question she had. She swallowed quietly, trying to clear her throat after in order to answer the stranger’s questions.
“I’m fine… Really… I was coming home late from Hono– I mean a friend’s house and… I was close to home. I took the longer way cause I wanted to stop at the shrine and well… It became this late before I know it.” She explained quietly.
At the offer to walk her home, she was tempted to just shake her head. She was only a few blocks from home! It would be silly to had an escort like that… especially when it seemed like something was up. But… she had a different reason for the way she decided to act. “I don’t live too far from here and I don’t mind but…”
She grabbed the stranger’s hand again. The school nurse aid in her getting worried with how cold her hands were. “Your hands… are disturbingly cold. As a nurse’s aid… I’m worried… A-Are you sure that YOU are okay? It’s odd for someone to have hands this cold… are you anemic or something?”
Honey eyes filled with worry at the stranger’s expense. Her hands tightening around the other’s. “Do you perhaps need some to eat or something? I can at least invite you in for some tea… I’m more worried about sending you home…”
Ah, right. Getting into the character made her nearly forget about how ice cold her body was compared to that of a human’s own body temperature. Of course she could just blame it on the cold night air, but this probably wouldn’t work out as well either. Especially with how quick this girl was to worry about her. Though it did give her the perfect opportunity to get closer to her. Maybe even alone...
What a perfect coincidence.
“E-eh..? Well, if you insist... Maybe it’s just because of how cold it is out. I was out for a little longer that I had anticipated.” She seemed to smile when noticing those honey hues staring at her. It made her give Kotori’s hand a squeeze while nodding.
“I’ll gladly take you up on that offer for tea. Plus it would be nice to meet someone from around here. You could say that I’m somewhat new to this place.” Was that a lie? Yes. But it gave her a good cover story and maybe would help make all of this not so strange. The new girl in town shtick always seemed to work.
Umi moved to nudge Kotori along, letting her lead the way to her home. Even if all of this was a ruse, it was nice to have someone actually caring about her. How many years had it been since something like that happened..?
“Thank you again for this... Ah, I still don’t know your name. I’m Sonoda Umi, and you are?”

Eli knew that this kind of thing would happen when she explained it. She had one experience like this before. The reaction was the same though; the stammering, the disbelief. Mortals seemed to react mostly the same. Not that she could talk much on that. But at least there was less yelling and some asking of an explanation.
Being thrown the articles of clothing made her raise an eyebrow. Were her clothes really that torn up? And being parted from her own clothes felt… odd. After a moment, she finally gave in. She was under this girl’s mercy at the moment. She didn’t want to upset her too much. So removing her clothes, she changed even if it was a little painful to do it on her own in her condition. She was centuries old, she could do it on her own!
Though the way the shirt hugged her body a little too much told her one thing… It’s too small for me… Small enough that it was noticeable but she could still put on the shirt. She’d have to bring it up later once they were on more sturdy grounds. And a blush was definitely brought out of her when she heard the words cute fox. Unsure if she was to say anything to that, she remained quiet.
“Even if you say that… there really isn’t much I can explain. I’m a spirit, centuries old. My form is usually that of a fox. Something was following me. I can’t really explain what it is… Despite being immortal, I felt fear and ran. The only place that I was safe was the shrine but by the time I got there I was so beaten up I was back into a fox. I don’t remember how I got these injuries or even getting to the shrine. I just remember… running.”
“That seems very vague but I can’t remember anything else. I’m not even sure why you can see me or why I feel so weak. Just that… thing did something to me and my powers. I thought it was going to swallow me whole when it touched me. That’s… all I have for you.”
Umi of course kept her back turned away until the stranger had changed into the clothing she had given her. Though, thinking about it now, she was more well-endowed than her so maybe the clothing might be a little tight on her? Hopefully that would be all right. The clothing she had left was just a little too revealing now from how damaged they were.
Maybe she could get them fixed up for the spirit girl later.
Once she had finished, the archer turned around to see that yes, the clothes were indeed a little tight. The blush was now present on both of their faces. Still, it was something they’d have to deal with for now. It was still better than what she had on before.
“I see,” said Umi as she took a seat in front of Eli. The story didn’t seem like it was a lie. There was no signs of deceit as she spoke and what reason would she have to lie? And it would explain why the fox was now gone. For now, all she could do was agree with her.
“I don’t believe that you’re lying. You have a trustful look to you and i couldn’t catch any signs of deceit. So... I’ll believe you, for now. What I can say is that I’m glad that you are all right. It sounds like you had just experienced something terrible and if I can, I hope I can help you at least recover. I did take you in, after all. Even if you were a fox at the time... I can’t just go back on what I said.”
Umi ave her a soft smile, standing on her feet once more. She would have to come up with some kind of story for her family but she was certain it would be fine. As long as this didn’t get in the way of anything.
“So please, make yourself at home for now and let me know if you need anything. And, as for you being a spirit... if any of my family sees you, just tell them that you’re an old friend of mine. I’ll come up with a story later.”
Looking down to see the torn up articles of clothing that Eli had once wore, she picked them up and looked them over.
“Would you like me to get this fixed for you?”

Her heart literally felt like it leaped out of her chest as she felt the older girl pull her close to the chest. She could hear the older girl’s heart, pounding just like hers. It was so weird to hear how oddly in time they were… even as two different people.
To feel and hear just how nervous Umi was like her. But then as she felt her head lifted up, she could feel her heartbeat slow… Relaxation… But still the swift pace of when they kissed. And there wasn’t any noise… nothing when the kissed.
“I like to say the same… but your heart is betraying you a little here. It’s still beating so quickly…” She mumbled as she lifted her head up to press their lips together again. This time instead of brief, she let herself stay just the slightest bit longer. Her
“I… was lying a little… I do wanna lie down and relax with you… but I wanna do this too. Is that okay? To want more kisses?” She whispered before snuggling against the girl’s chest in a fit of embarrassment. She hasn’t ever been this honest with herself. This was embarrassing and she didn’t really like it. She would much prefer the privateness she usually maintained.
“M-Mou…. f-forget it… I-I didn’t say anything…” She mumbled against her feeling embarrassed for the things she has said and done all night and even more so when she remembered the thin nightie she was in. She was a terrible hypocrite at the end of the day…
“T-This is really bad… I was trying to hard…”
Her heartbeat was betraying her huh? That’s not all that surprising, really. Umi’s was always good at hiding how she really felt, but for those that could get close enough to her could easily realize when she wasn’t fully telling the truth.
Still, it was true that she was still actually more relaxed than usual. Being like this with her betrothed only made her heart beat faster because... well it wasn’t like she had really been this intimate with a person before. That’d be the only reason why her heart would be racing as bad as it was.
The kisses didn’t help keep the beating slow either.
Eyes glanced down to the now hiding Maki, who seemed to be embarrassed bout what she was saying. Heck, she even told her to just forget about what she was just saying in favor of getting to kiss more. Not that Umi was actually going to listen to that request. They both seemed to want the same thing here.
Hands ghosting their way up to Maki’s cheeks to cup them, her head was moved so that way the two could stare into each others eyes again. A smirk was present on the prince’s face by the point.
“Oh no, I don’t think I can let you get away that easily... I want to give you some more kisses too, my sweet~” Before the embarrassed princess was even given a chance to respond, she was drawn in for a gentle kiss. Arms had moved to embrace her so that way she could keep her there.

“It’s okay. Let’s both be a bit more honest… Okay?” Eli giggled with the still gentle touch to her kouhai’s face.
The elder girl smiled as she stared up at honey colored eyes that seemed to have different emotions at once. A kind smile on her face she watched the girl move over. Her breath hitched up as the two of them kiss again. Eli gently closed her hand over Umi’s when their fingers intertwined.
She should feel a little insulted that Umi was telling her senpai when she could have her chance in this relationship. But with their relationship never being one of senpai and kouhai but as partners in Muse, that sort of feeling is rarely a factor. But she does pout a tad. The spoiled child that wasn’t too keen in being in this position getting the better of her. But at the same time, she felt embarrassed. Especially given what it was that got her in this position.
“W-Weren’t you just taking blame for this just a moment ago though…?” Eli muttered with a small edge of teasing and worry at her girlfriend’s words. She wasn’t sure how much more she could embarrass her already. Not that she was able to state that aloud. “P-Plus don’t blame me for being unable to kiss you.”
“B-But… while we’re on the subject would you mind us moving somewhere that isn’t here?The floor is nice but we’d both be more comfortable on the bed or something.” Also her back was hurting quite a bit from being pressed against the frame for so long. Even being against the wall was better than being against this bed frame.
She was sure she would get the girl’s heart racing as much as hers was asking for such a thing but… Her back definitely couldn’t take being against the bed frame especially with Umi leaning on her…
Hearing what Eli had to say at first only made her smirk. Though that smirk seemed to disappear once she brought up her back hurting. Umi never even realized until then that the way she had her positioned wasn’t exactly all that comfortable.
“Ah... my bad...” Umi seemed to look sorry about that, and moved off of Eli so that she could stand up along with her. Though that didn’t mean she got much of a chance to rest either, as Umi was quick to hold her lightly while lips brushed at the nape of her neck. Umi was just entirely different now for this, but instead of a more dominant feel, this felt more loving. All she wanted to do was give her love a nice feeling.
Their feet shuffled over to the bed, and Umi had Eli lay down first so that she could lay on top of her. It was embarrassing, yes. Even her own face was on fire right now. Still, she wanted to give Eli something to make up for this.
“I want you to lay down and relax, okay? This is to make up for my own mistake... That’s why I told you you’d get your turn soon enough.” Trying to go back to what she was doing before, lips were back near Eli’s collarbone to kiss in a few places, pondering on where to start. She let the reactions guide her to a good spot before letting teeth gently rasp against her skin into a faint bite.
While that was going on, hands roamed to the hem of her clothing to lightly tug on them. It was almost like she was teasing the blonde while giving her more light marks on what would be hidden parts of her body. This was followed up by kisses that lead from her collarbone to her jawline and then up to her ear.
“Mmm... I love you,” she mumbled there, smirking.

“I know, I know… This situation is a little unexpected from you, I couldn’t help it!” She chimed cheerfully as she tried to pry herself away from the younger girl so she could get up. When she wasn’t moving, the girl stared back at Umi. “Umi…?”
Despite the bravado that Eli had tried to pick up when Umi was suddenly all embarrassed about her attempt of teasing. She did feel a real tinge of her own embarrassment from the rather bold move from the younger girl. And to have her not respond to her made her feel worried. Sometimes it was a little more difficult to read Umi than normal. Not that she was always the best reader of people in the first place but…
Eli felt her face flush when she felt their lips touch. Her heart picking when the girl gave her a slower and definitely more passionate kiss. She could feel her body warm up to every touch and kiss that Umi gave her. Though she was too ashamed of herself to admit such a thing out loud to Umi. The supposed older girl feeling so weak for her girlfriend’s touch was embarrassing to admit.
Though the girl’s face flushed in shame for another reason when Umi admitted to not being able to handle so much teasing. She had to admit, she had been doing much more teasing than she had actual giving attention to the girl. Each one of these study sessions ended just as that… study sessions. She would give the girl a chaste kiss and tease her but never really follow through. It wasn’t that she didn’t want to but finding the right time to bring her away to be alone like this had been difficult the past few weeks. And feeling the girl’s blunt expression of how much she had been wanting from the different kisses across her body, she was sure that she had neglected her longer than she should have.
Before she continue respond to her question to continue though, Eli leaned forward pressing her lips to Umi’s, the way she had been wanting to for so long without being the slightest bit of chaste. Before she could get too far gone that she lost her cool head, she pulled away from Umi, feeling breathless. But her lack of breath didn’t stop her from speaking. “I’m sorry. I hadn’t thought that you were feeling this way. I… didn’t want to rush things until you wanted to. But perhaps I was being too slow…”
Eli smiled as she brushed back a hair from Umi’s face. “That being said. I won’t stop you from continuing. I… want to kiss you and hold you but being kissed and held by you is also really nice.”
Seeing the expression Eli provided her were quite the sight, be it when she wasn’t sure of what she was even doing now. Going off of instinct in this kind of situation felt... unnatural for her. It wasn’t what she was used to doing. Sure, it wasn’t like she hadn’t learned how to do such things for other times she had to just let go and let her body doing the work, but for something like this? Being so intimate and close was just... new, and a little scary.
Suddenly a kiss was felt upon her lips, dragging whatever thoughts her mind was having out so that she could focus on the sweet taste of Eli’s lips. Arms loosely found themselves on the older girl’s shoulders while relaxing herself. Even though it did start to feel like the kiss was getting heated—more than she expected—it quickly came to an abrupt halt so that Eli could speak again.
Listening to what she had to say caused Umi to blush once more, though this time it was out of how forgetful she was. This whole time, it was mainly her own fault that they didn’t do anything; get closer whatsoever. It was all teasing and fleeting kisses because Umi never quite admitted that she wanted to take their relationship to the next step.
Thinking about it now wasn’t going to help.
“I completely forgot that I had told you to take it slow that I just thought you were trying to tease me for your own sake. I guess I should be the one apologizing. I’m sorry...”
Eyes glanced over to the hand that ran along the strands of hair that were covering her face, and a soft smile could be seen forming on her lips from the gesture. It was soft, and exactly something she wanted. And being given the okay to continue made her smile brighten just a little.
Anything about being shameless seemed to go out the window for now.
Moving up to hover over Eli once more, Umi moved to slightly straddle Eli as she leaned down to let their lips touch once more. Fingers quickly felt along to find her girlfriend’s own so they could intertwine as they shared such a kiss again. It was slow, and loving. Something they’ve really only done a few times in fear of going too fast.
Now it didn’t really seem to matter all that much.
“Don’t worry, you’ll get your chance here soon, all right? I think I should get to have a little fun since I’ve had to be the one getting the brunt of the teasing, right~?”
