📝 Faust / Don Quixote with a stressed, uni student gn s/o during the summer exam session [ 𖹭 headcanons ]
A/N: might be a little ooc, it's my first time writing for them.. and a fan-work in english probably :D
🎠 DON QUIXOTE ~~
Don is absolutely insistent on staying in your room while you study – either by your side, on a neatly prepared additional chair (so she can loudly breathe into your ear LOL, lovely accidental mouth-breather🩷) or on your bed, reading fixer-magazines or just relaxing
if you ask her, she will be absolutely ECSTATIC to either quiz you or check your mock test – a dear knight turned professor?!..
but don't even bother asking her for help in understanding the material.. don't get me wrong: she is intelligent, as well as she is knowledgable – but only in the fixer and justice department(!)
if your preferred method of studying is blurting, oh she will be *seated* and *attentive* like no one else: "I am ready for thy wise words, my dear! Prithee, bestow thy knowledge uponeth me, as we both will slay the unknown!"
during mid-day.. she might randomly leave your room – and come back with some snacks; either fruit or sweets. If sticky hands bother you, she won't turn away from the offer of hand-feeding you: how come a "wise scholar" as you can be so.. cute?! (but don't you think, she'll obviously snack with you: sticky hands are no obstacle to stop her from cherishing yummy crisps or sour grapes)
while reading on your bed, she'll make sure not to even gasp! she can't let herself distract you with anything, be it a giggle or a sharp inhale of surprise due to something happening in her fixer magazine.. maybe other than timely breaks during which she'll make you do jumping jacks – get that air flowing! (but don't you worry, she'll have you covered with every fixer news you missed – just wait after the exams :D)
but if she gets the permission to sit beside you, she might start reading through the material with you... or help you note-take, quietly picking out the highlighter colours you should use
for her, keeping you company is integral to gaining a good score – 'tis the comfort one needs! Because what is a knight and what is an adventure.. without their loyal squire?!
she won't be making you go to bed early – if being a night owl is your style, she's content with that; don't be surprised if you wake up with a blanket draped over you though, a fresh cup of coffee with a pastry on the side and a little note "Let's conquer 'tis day! 🤺"
there will be a lot of praise involved – from the fact that you finished a paragraph to even waking up on the day of the exam... This ray of sunshine might make you tan from how much she beams with excitement!
/en conclusión/ Don is a rather "active" study companion: she'll be all over the place while you're stuck at your desk – but for her, a suffering shared is half the suffering🩷 Please tell her how helpful she is, but beware! She might jump through the ceiling from happiness.
👻 FAUST ~~
for Faust, she wouldn't really indulge herself in your process of studying – she *already* knows all of it after all; but what might "worry" her is your condition and the amount of time you spend at your desk
every now and then she would enter your room with a quiet knock to bring you.. a fruit bowl. I picture Faust to be very insightful about your well-being and the way vitamins support the body and mind
she would have a bowl with meticously cut bananas, apple slices and berries – with a water vase on the side, have it mint or some lemon slices inside as well
it can go either way – she'll put it on your desk without a word and leave as not to disturb you; or if you inquire "why", she'll go on a rant: "Every fruit Faust has prepared is full of both antioxidants and healthy fats, which improve the communication between braincells. The lemon contained in water brings vitamin c, which is essential for producing neurotransmitters and protecting the brain from oxidative stress [...]" – her words, not mine! Be prepared for a great health lecture though
she will be trying her best not to bother you too much – keeping an eye every now and then without a word.. as if she was eager for you to ask her for help though
if you do ask her for help, be ready for.. a long note-taking session: Professor Faust's lecture will be a specifically catered and perfectly encapsulated key to passing!...
she will answer every one of your questions as well as repeat every part of her monologue you didn't catch beforehand
as she goes on and on about the topic of your exam, you might even see a shadow of a smile on her lips – she feels much heat in her chest.. for the simplest reason of her being able to charm you with her sparking intelligence and omni-knowledge
she will try her best to soften her somewhat arrogant demeanor; you're now her *best* (and only) student after all, but you might see her lightly furrow her eyebrows if some parts of material can't seem to get through you
she'll make sure you go to sleep at according hours, as she believes "studying at early hours is the most effective way" – and if she catches you trying to put your notes under your pillow.. yeah, those are getting taken away quickly!.. and a light huff might do too, how unserious it is to believe knowledge will spill into your brain by itself?
in the mornings, you'll be met with a nutritional breakfast and a cleaned-up desk, already prepared for the next couple of hours – for her it's *obvious* your mind is NOT! in the right state for such trivial matters
over-all, a very non-invasive "study companion" – her want to be as helpful and shine with her intelligence talks through her, but it's endearing on its' own. Please praise her, she deserves it.. and might even give you a very flat praise back – in her own "faustian" style🩷
-> No matter the results, both of them will be the proudest they can be: in their own special ways 🍀
