"Now we're talking! And there's a lot of money in property development, you know, so, we could be rich. We will be rich. I'll run the numbers and you do the heavy lifting, how does that sound?"

"Thanks, man," Blake laughed, grinning at Sean's compliment. He nodded to Russo to take the next round, tapping out so he could head over to Sean. "Are you, uh, planning on jumping in today?" Blake asked it super casually, pausing to drain a good half of his water bottle, before looking back at him. "Or you could take my place, you know. Show 'em how it's down. Really run through the 'classics'."

"Oh," Sean couldn't imagine a worse idea than that, "that's a great idea, actually, but um..." It took him a moment to realise he was literally holding on to an excuse, and when he did he waved it triumphantly in Blake's face, "I should go over my notes for the werewolf seminar. Besides, I think you covered all them main ones, like the classic," he made a jabbing motion with his notebook to Blake's chest, "stab, and you know," Sean bit his lip to stop talking, a highly effective move - usually - if he had just lowered his journal, "with the little twist too, that was a nice touch."

Blake was scheduled in to run training today. The usual drills, sparring, keeping everyone on their toes and most of all, keeping his own increasingly worsening wounds under wraps. He was in the middle of a demonstration now, grimacing as he watched them hesitate. "Bad move," he said not uncaringly as he proceeded to swiftly disarm them. "Who's next?"

Sean had never been comfortable in a room full of hunters, and Blake had just proven why. How'd he do that? Just disarm a guy with one manoeuvre? He should ask, he should totally ask, but the thing was... Sean was a bloodline hunter too. For, like, a lifetime now, so the basics should've been pretty much hammered into him, so asking something this simple was not an option. "Nice, Blake. Totally got him in the," he gestured vaguely to whatever pressure point resides between one's neck and shoulder. "Classic."

Arriving at the diner just a tad later than the already late birthday boy, Isabel manoeuvred her way through Sal's, doing everything in her power to keep her eyes off Robbie as he attempted to consume an entire platter of party food. Honestly, she felt the urge to do the same, but she opted to wait, instead heading to the counter to order a beer. Her hand kept lifting to her hair, too aware of the blonde or concerned that it was more tousled than it should be? Who's to say? "Wait, does Sal's still do shots or was that just a fever dream I had?"

"Hello," Sean slithered in next to the mystery woman at the bar, keen to see a face that he hadn't yet embarrassed himself in front of. Blonde, eager to drink, and a dress like that? Ticking all his boxes. "What's a girl like you..." his words fell quiet as he realised this was no stranger, and holding onto hope that Isabel didn't realise he was talking to her at all, he quickly fought for the bartender's attention. "Jim Beam, thanks. Easy on the ice."
