9. How are they mentally?
Oh wait, you’re serious - alright let’s open the can of worms…
Aria: Mentioned this briefly in a previous ask on another question, but Aria’s representative of the Gifted Child -> Burnt Out Adult Pipeline, being Neurodivergent and neglected, with a dash of trauma has made her ‘mature’ faster than her peers, and only realise the depth of such later in her life.
Despite this, she tries every day to do her best, and sometimes that looks like just making sure she’s eaten something, drunk water, washed and dressed. And accepting that she cannot run at 100%, 100% of the time. Most of all, accepting that her worth is not based in her utility.
Only those she trusts deeply will be told of this, however on particularly tough days, signs will show more obviously as she has always found difficulty in hiding how she truly feels.
Riyuu: Riyuu had a deeply difficult childhood. He is also Neurodivergent, and displays signs of C-PTSD. (Complex PTSD, wherein the person has had a series of traumatic events spread out as opposed to just the one trauma, loosely - I’m no diagnostician lmao).
Unlike Aria, he has always been able to mask this very well. Anytime he experiences flashbacks or bouts of heightened emotion ‘seemingly out of nowhere,’ he’s somehow kept this fairly under the radar. Only really those very close to him are aware or this. Otherwise he is seen as cool as a cucumber, if not ‘a little ADHD’ with his apparent excess of (goofy and fun) energy.
It takes a lot to ‘break’ Riyuu, but the surefire way to is the loss of a true loved one. It’d take him 1000x the effort to piece himself back together again than it would to have fallen apart.
14. How do others perceive them?
Aria: Aria is kind of a tsun, but mostly very bright, bubbly and absolutely lights up any and every room she enters. Loud and strong in personality, but witty and brilliant, she attracts a genuine crowd and rejects ‘mean or pretentious people.’
She’s very popular, particularly for her kindness and talents. It doesn’t hurt that she’s very beautiful, but she’s not aware of just how much from unfortunate comments experienced growing up likely out of jealousy. She does not know she is half Veela, and is unaware of the effect she has on others and bringing people together.
A ‘do no harm, take no shit’ kind of person, she takes introverts under her wing constantly and is the first to announce ‘They said NO PICKLES! 😤-‘ for her friends! XDDD she is an absolute charmer 🥰❤️✨
Riyuu: Riyuu, by those who don’t know him, is perceived as a dark, mysterious bad boy who will chew you up and spit you out again- and you’d say thank you for it.
Whilst some of that may be true, once one gets to know him he is actually a bit of a party boy himbo with a heart of gold. He’s still a sex God and he knows it, but at least he’s fun and not an incel or arsehole LOL
Close friends and loved ones know the actual depth of his emotional intelligence, and deep love he holds for those he cares about, and even strangers in need. Which may come as an unexpected surprise to others. He cares little for how he is perceived.
27. What is their room like?
Aria: Her room is warm, cozy, with sherpa and soft blankets. Beautiful and soft fairy lights hung up delicately. Neutral in colour scheme with a dash of sequins, rose gold and the occasional and tasteful jewel colour. Plush and beautiful, elegant and timeless with an undeniably warmth.
Riyuu: Monochromatic, sharper edges and fewer items - minimalist, in fact. He rarely feels cold, and it shows. Not as well kept as Aria’s but not dirty, save for the occasional ciggy stubbed out on a nearby ash tray. Mostly black, grey, silver with the occasional pop of bright saturated colours such as tomato red from a band poster he finally hung up after having it in his possession for three years.
31. What are their beliefs?
Aria: Aria is not religious. She is undecided as to whether she may be agnostic or spiritual in any way, but she mostly sees herself as open minded, and that she is.
Aria’s core beliefs are her own strong moral compass of kindness, trust, compassion, loyalty, love, wisdom and growth, and leading with such in each decision and response. This means within herself as well when faced with the potential for animosity or manipulation of her offer of compassion.
Aria believes in people deserving a chance, though it takes a LOT for her to allow said chance if she finds you suspicious when it comes to anything personal about her or a potential relationship with her (even friendship). But she will generally always lead with civility and mostly kindness.
Riyuu: Riyuu is areligious as well. He loves a good ghost story but doesn’t believe himself to be particularly spiritual, though he too is open minded and accepting of others’ beliefs.
Riyuu’s core beliefs used to centre around self preservation, though now he has space for and the capacity for more emotionally open beliefs to take root within to lead his life with. Courage, sacrifice, love, trust, loyalty, understanding and family. In his case, being present essentially.
Riyuu is not as forgiving as Aria, and even Aria does not offer a second chance to betray her. Though she will walk away and never look back… Riyuu may hold a grudge, particularly if a betrayal occurred against someone he loved. Consider yourself marked should you cross him… ‘an eye for an eye’ are often words he lives by.
37. Is there hope for them?
Aria: Absolutely. She refuses to give up, even when fighting is just too hard, she never gives in. And surrounded by those who love her, unconditionally, has always helped.
Riyuu: He fears that he has done too much, seen too much. Though anyone willing to change for the better, trying to do better each day, deserves the chance. Having a chance is inherently, hope for him.
