Grocery Run
"Thereâs a lot of things wrong with seedy night clubs," Cooper mutters, but thinks he does so low enough that Sebastian canât hear him. He canât entirely blame him - Cooper thought he was invincible at that age too, and that it didnât matter where he went or how seedy it was, heâd always be able to walk out of it. Of course, now on the law enforcement side, heâs seen too many innocent people not realizing the danger and then paying the price for it.
Though honestly, Cooper more fears the danger that happens in well decorated offices in mansions than he does in night clubs, so he isnât completely against Sebastian going. He doesnât respond to Sebastianâs comment besides a raising of his eyebrows. He has been to some, but he doesnât need to defend himself. And he doesnât want to tell Sebastian about his experiences, so he will simply keep quiet on that issue. âJust let me know the location - I still retain the right to veto, though,â is all he says.
Cooper starts putting the items that need to go into the fridge and freezer in their proper locations first. He allows himself a little pleased smile as Sebastian, without prompting, starts putting some boxes away - itâs not much, but it is something. And Cooper needs to take pleasure in the small things or heâll go crazy. He wonders if this is why heâs having a hard time dating a normal person, because he treats them like criminals.
"Thereâs a mall in Columbus," Cooper says, already dreading the trip as he says it. "Itâs small and on the outskirts, but it should be fine. Especially for your budget," he says, smirking a little. Itâs hard not to be pleased that the spoiled criminal canât get his usual perks like top brand clothing. Cooper likes to think heâs much more practical than that, though he still looks good of course.
Sebastian is fairly sure that Cooper is muttering something, but he doesn't hear it, and frowns his way. "Sorry if I like to have a little fun in my life," he mutters, rolling his eyes. Ugh, trust the boring old police officer to hate seedy nightclubs. Cooper probably hadn't gotten laid in years and failed to appreciate the value in a seedy nightclub.
"Well, can I have some internet access to look up some place that meets your standards?" He asks, rolling his eyes. "I can't exactly choose somewhere if I don't know any places around here." He's sure Cooper will veto all of the fun clubs anyway. He seems the type to ruin good things like that. Knowing him, they'll end up in some boring straight bar with country music, or something equally awful. He'll have to deal with women hitting on him all night, and hitting on other guys will likely lead to him getting a strong punch to the jaw, what with this being backwards Ohio and all.
"Oh goody..." Sebastian mutters at the mention of his strict budget again. "Why don't we just hit up the second hand store and op shops while we're at it, hmm? Get me some nice holey shirts and pants, get me looking real nice." He says sarcastically, slamming the cupboard shut. He just wants life to go back to normal, damnit.
