He let out a quiet sigh of relief when he took his arm off him, but it also set Cali edge due to how obvious he had to have been; he knew that already but still. Pulling over his bag he threw the book back in quickly and closed it, he needed to get away before he could give Sebastian a chance to find out. “Nothing happened, Sebastian. I’m just tired and I don’t feel well, alright?” Trying to get himself back into the frame of mind he had before the incident, he snapped the words though internally cringing at how pathetic he sounded and at how he couldn’t even raise his head up to snap the words properly, having to keep it hidden until he got himself away.
Sebastian still wasn’t convinced by this explanation, Cali was visibly upset and more so than he would be if he was just sick. He knew him well enough to know something was bothering him. “Oh yeah, if that is the case then why can’t you even look me in the eye when you say it.” He snapped back at him, crossing his arms over his chest before he tried softening his demeanor to try and get Cali to open up to him. “Cali, you know you can tell me anything and I’d never judge you. Whatever is wrong will stay between us if you want it to, I just want to know because I care about you.” He spoke softly, ducking his head to try and meet the younger boy’s eyes.
