@little-steiner
Do… do I look like a hairstylist? It looks like hair.
Because this is really helpful, of course. Thank you so very much.
what about no?
At the sound of Annaliese’s voice, however, he was certain there was nothing worse than that. He was in the fine line of either being ok with her or being more like ‘please, leave’. For all those months they worked together, every time he randomly thought someone was looking at him—there she was, looking fine and beautiful as always—and crazy, let’s not forget the crazy. “Oh God!” It’s all he said once he put a shirt on, trying to keep his cool. “Annaliese, hey, hi, what’s up?” And clearly failing at that. “I was just changing, I gotta go.” He quickly put his stuff into his locker and thought at how he would leave that small room passing through her.
Annaliese shamelessly laughs at his reaction. She finds it fun how he gets embarrassed, saying everything so fast. “Hello, Nate.” she say, blocking the only door in the room. “Why so jumpy, though? You don’t look like you were trying to hide anything...” she teases, only ‘cause teasing is her game. And also because she was dying to know how even more embarrassed he could get. “Oh, you gotta go? Really? Isn’t your shift supposed to start in like, fifteen minutes only? I mean, why are you making up excuses Nathaniel? I might think you are afraid of me, or something... I mean, I won’t bite util you ask me to.”
Thank you, I’d say it’s all smoke and mirrors but that would be a lie. I did a lot of squats to get this ass.
Well, you get what you pai for. I, on the other hand, am too lazy for anything that involves exercising, so...
“Oh, come on girl, you know you look fine.” He teased, as he shot her a playful grin. “Better than mine, anyways. Feel free to make mine look as good as yours looks.”
“Well... It’s not actually that hard to look better that you do in any aspect anyways, so.” she teases back, as playful as him.
and your last words are...?
When Oliver gets in the kitchen, Anna's already there. She sits by the table and grabs an apple, but doesn't bite it right away. "Good mornig, brother." she says giving the male one of her brightest smiles. Of course she is still mad, and of course she still wants to slap him in the face, tie him and set the house on fire, but she decides to give him the sarcastic bitch treatment instead. Her cheerful expression is forced and as she fakes interest "Did you have fun last night? Ooh, I bet you did. I bet you're hungry! You must have worked so hard, haven't you? I hope you did. I mean, you surely need to make the money you paid for that slut really worthy, huh?" she smiles again, just like an innocent angel even though she well aware of the insult she just shared.
But before the older one is able to say anything, she says "Ok, my bad. She's not a prostitute, at least that we know of. So I'm sorry, I was mad. I'm not anymore. Let's eat." she points to the table that herself had put, and looks at all the food she cooked. "You are going to eat everything, aren't you?"

( annaliese is tired, her feet hurt, her head aches. All she wants in that moment is to take a hot shower and sleep for how long it is possible. She walks fast to the door and opens it. )-- ( once she is in the apparent silence sounds strange and she almost call for oliver, but the thought that he might be out contains her. anna just drops her bag and keys on the table in the front hall and distractedly starts walking towards the kitchen but she hears a sound )-- ( she frowns in confusion and but does not say a word. the girl knows the sounds are coming from the living room so she goes there )-- ( the scene she sights, however, is more surprising than she could've imagined ) what the fuck?! ( she screams and her voice sounds exactly like nails scratching a black board ) what do you think tou're doing oliver steiner? ( her tone is full of rage. she closes her hands, her wrists ready to punch somebody in the face but she is so fucking angry that she can't even listen, it's beyond her in that moment ) you know what? just finish up what you've started, is that what you want, brother? so go ahead. pretend i doesn't even exist just like you're already doing. i'm disgusted. ( seh says word after word as she puts foot after foot and walks straight out of that house. she has no idea where to go, but staying is not an option )
what about no?
As he was getting ready for his shift in the dressing room, Nate couldn’t help but awkwardly starts dancing to the song that was playing in the room. So distracted as he was, it’s possible to say that he wouldn’t guess anyone coming in—why bother anyways, he knew most of his co-workers and he had passed through worse… A lot of worse situations than being dancing half naked in his workplace.
Anna had seen when Nate arrived. As usual, he went straight to dressing room whithout noticing her. She followed him with her eyes, all the way through, and as the time passed she imagined what he could possibly be doing there. Perhaps she could take a look, say hi or anything. So she decided to leave the bar just for a second and went after her co-worker. “Wow. Is it a private show, or something? I like it.”
thinking out loud :
Obviously he knew she wasn’t dumb—but saying the right words at what happened the night before seemed more messed up than the whole situation actually was. Watching as she sits up, still avoiding him, Oliver keeps his position, looking at her back distracted as heard her complains, his face frowning lightly.
Carefully, as he was trying to deal with a tiger, he caresses his sister back softly—sitting up beside her as he did so. He indeed still thought it was funny how jealous she looked. The way she talked about the other girls could make him mad, like she was getting in middle of his life, but he couldn’t help. It was kind cute—scary, but still cute. Probably the reason why he never really got to be with a girl for a great among of time, they never really liked Annaliese as much as she didn’t like them. However, he hoped this time could be different, even if it took more of his patience to fix that.
“We are keeping it that way.” He points out, his green eyes stuck on her expressions as he pulls some of her hair behind her ear. “You will still be my number #1, it doesn’t matter if I’m with someone or not, you’re my first option to anything.” Saying that, he pulled her close, his arm around her. “Now stop being so mad and not-you, ok? You were supposed to be my medicine for hangover, you’re not doing this exactly right.” He laughs softly.
The girl doesn't even listen clearly anymore. Her brain is working, as she reminds herself that she had actually saw her brother the other day, with an unknown brunette. Of course that by that time, she did not think it was anything important but now evething started to make sense. Tha brunette was the girl Oliver was talking about, she had to be. Anna forced a smile to Ollie, but she wasn't very successful in hinding her own emotions.
The way the older one seemed to be having fun with the situation did not help either. She was there trying not to kill somebody, and he was amused. Anna took a deep breathe while listening her brother, but at the and she stood up and got away from him.
"Everything is just fine, and I believe in everything you say." she says beforehand.
"But yeah, I've got some stuff to do, so sorry. I can't stay and be your medicine." she tries to pout cutely, but her words are so full of sarcasm that it doesn't work. "Well, I brought you pills. Take them, have some rest, sleep a little. I think that will be enough to get you better, and if it's not, well... You'll have to get better at some point, right?" then Anna takes her bag, and walks towards the door. "See you, brother." she sayas before leaing for good.
You know how I do. You should be proud of all your assets, Anna. Flaunt what you got, I do.
I should probably follow your advice. I mean, your ass does look stunning in these jeans of yours, I loved it!
jealousy;
( ; he is pretty sure that was the place his best friend said annaliese was seen with kylie. just the idea of the two together in such a moment—when his sister wasn’t in the best mood because of what they’ve been talking about earlier that day, and when kylie was clearly disappointed at him—made him feel nervous )
( ; walks into the bar, looking around for the both ginger and brunette and, at the sight of them talking, he goes towards there ) – ( ; he can’t really listen or really see what’s going on there—yet, kylie seemed tense and anna… he couldn’t describe it, it was like she was amused ) – ( ; he always knew it was a bad idea for his sister to meet the girls he dated… she always overreacted ) Liese ( ; he calls out, stopping between them ) Outside. Now. ( ; it’s the only thing he can manage to say, his eyes staring straight at her as he was mad at the fact she was there and with who she was )
Kylie… ( ; he then turns his face to the girl, seeing how she was. He can’t help but feel guilty—she seemed really mad and disappointed at him, like he had hurt her ) – ( ; sighs, looking away for a second before his eyes rest on her again ) I’m sorry for this. Liese is kind pissed at me ( ; like you probably are as well, he completes on his mind ) Talk to you later, ok? ( ; he mutters, not sure if that was the best thing to be said, especially in front of anna ) – ( ; looking at the ginger again, he just stares at her and takes a deep breath ) I am waiting there, if you don’t come, I’ll drag you out ( ; he murmurs at his sister, clearly mad, before leaving )
{` a snicker escapes her pursed lip, a brow raises as she drops her comment} girl, keep in mind that he is your brother— not your lover {` rolls her eyes as she prepares to hiss of venom to the other as a familiar figure comes in sight, and its obvious how that is the last person she would want to see at this very moment} oh right, he is here for his sister, no surprise {` sits back and crosses her arms— she isnt exactly mad at him, plain disappointment, but it has something to do with the alcohol churning inside her stomach and the provoking comments annaliese made that has made her feel mad, she is completely aware that what she is going to say will probably hurt oliver and herself, yet she just cant control the blabber of words} oliver, you know dragging her out wont stop me from knowing what i am supposed to know— {` she stares at him, he looks mad, then she turns and land her sight at the ginger girl} as for you, i dont really care about all of those {` shrugs, though her heart screams otherwise as she chucks down the cup of drink in her hand, almost failing to notice how hard she was clenching on the cup}
(the answer she gets makes the girl smile) exactly, my friend. brother, not lover. and you must know that blood comes above anything else. (but before she could say anything else, oliver shows up out of the blue)--(at first annaliese is shocked but then she gets mad. the way oliver treats her in front of the other girl makes her want to slap him. and that was not only it. he had apologized and promised to get in touch?! that was ridiculous!)--(anna takes a breathe not to scream and make things worst, and with no other answer she just walks out after oliver, but not to talk to him. The girl had made up her mind. She would not talk to him again in quite a while.)
jealousy;
{` confusion and probably shock hits the girl, mostly confused to why and how she was here being told off by a stranger, but she is not the type to shrug off hate— especially ones without reason} wait, who the hell are you {` she straightens her body, eyes widening with slight anger flashing by at times} oh you are his sister? and which part of me knowing him or even having a more intimate relationship have to do with..you? {` tilts her head, studying the ginger girl in front of her, words sounded like a challenge}
(anna stares the older one in desbelief. what kind of question was that?) sorry, what? (she laughs sarcastically since to her the answer was quite obvious) sweetheart, he is my brother. He is mine. Everything about him has to do with me. (she’s pretty serious about everything she says and doesn’t even realize how sick it might sound) so listen to me, and listen carefully, you don’t want to make me your enemy so stay. away.
thinking out loud :
The way she reacts now is how Oliver knows she is controlling whatever is on her mind. His little sister wasn’t exactly quiet person—being only that when something was going on between them, like this moment. Annaliese was the kind of girl who would look him in the eyes when everything was fine, not stare at the ceiling as he was just telling her a random tale. She was mad—he could feel it. He just wasn’t sure why, but the way her voice sounds in her questions makes it pretty clear. Was she jealous?
The Steiner siblings had always been too close, Oliver himself was too jealous with the younger girl—he didn’t like the guys that came around her and tried to take her away from him, but every time she was the one jealous, he almost thought it was an overreaction. It wasn’t. Their possessive feelings for each other was quite mutual—they depended on each other. Well, not really, but the older Steiner always felt responsible for her, so it didn’t matter if she was still twelve or nineteen already, he would think she needed him for every single thing.
Yet, the way she sounds makes him grin, a little amused. “You’re not jealous, are you?” He asks, jokingly and hoped she wouldn’t be mad. Moving on the bed, getting on his side to look at her, he lifted his upper body and supported it with his elbow on the mattress, to watch her still there, lying beside him, avoiding looking at him. Oliver stares at her for a while before sighing, running his free hand through his blond hair. “Yeah? What else would we be doing the whole night?” Obviously sounding suspicious, he keeps his part on not wanting to talk about what he had been doing with their cousin.
“As for the other girl… Well…” He stops a little, his eyes distracted as looked around the room, trying to think on how to answer that. Kylie was important but—was she already important enough to be brought up with a name and feelings in his conversation with Anna? He didn’t think so. Besides, he wasn’t sure as for how they would deal with each other after that morning, so there was no point. “Not that important yet, calm down.” Oliver finally says it, now looking at the ginger. “And besides, you seriously sound jealous—no one is more important than you are, so don’t keep that indifferent face at me,” he smiles, maybe too cocky, too full of himself. “You’re the girl of my life, Liese, you know that.”
The tone of voice Oliver uses when asking her if she's jealous makes Anna even madder than she already was. Of course she was jealous! He was hers, but still he seemed to think that it was totally fine to fool around hooking up with other girls. Her blood ran hot in her veins, and Anna crossed her arms. She took a very deep breathe, trying not to cause a scene. She had to focus on the getting info part. "Oh, and you think that's funny?" she rolls her eyes. Of course, he did. He looked at her as she was a child, of course it was fun to handle her childish jealousy.
But when Oliver confirms that he spent the whole night only dancing, Anna laughs. "Oh, of course. And you think I must be really dumb, right." once again she rolls her eyes. "But that's okay, it's better if you don't tell me. I surely don't want to know what you have been doing all night. Just to think about it I feel like throwing up." she sits up, still not looking at her brother. She is annoyed by everything she hears, but acting like that is not going to help at all.
Anna only feels a little bit more relieved when Oliver says the last of his sentences. She was indeed the girl of his life, and was not willing to share the position with anyone else. "Not that importante yet..." she repeats his words "Not that important, ever. I'm the girl of your life, you say. Let's keep it that way, thanks."
I think it honestly looks fine, nothing looks wrong about it. But then again, it’s your own opinion that matters, so..
Wel, I don't know. I usually feel confident at least about my hairs, but seriously, it seems like it doesn't want to colaborate with me today.
Perhaps I should change it, like, do you think I should cut it short?
It looks good, even if it didn’t you’re a girl so nobody will be looking at your hair. I don’t have the advantage of breasts to distract people so my hair always has to be on point, or I just wear really tight pants to draw the attention to my ass.
Jesus Christ, you go straight to the point, don’t you? Also, I prefer to pretend that people are distracted by my eyes or my personality, you know? It makes me feel like a better person.
Ugh, I hate how my hair looks today. Are you sure you think it’s fine? I don’t feel good about it at all.
I heard the truth was built to bend. A mechanism to suspend the guilt is what you will require. And still you've got to dance, little liar.
