The Titans watched all the Addams family movies one halloween (because scary movies have been banned for safety reasons) and Cyborg jokingly said that if BB and Raven ever got together they’d be like Gomez and Morticia. Raven got really annoyed and accidentally shattered all the lightbulbs in the Tower. After that Gar starts calling Raven “Cara Mia” to tease her. She kinda just says fuck it and calling him “Mon Cherie” back and it kinda just becomes their thing.

This is all before they’re dating and they both justify it like “yeah, we’re just two besties with pet names for each other, don’t worry about it” and the rest of the team is just banging their heads against a wall.
