It's funny how they were showing this to kids in the 90's and nobody cared (I was there) but without even being able to say they're a couple it is a thousand times more obvious and more bold about it than the representation corporate kid's entertainment is proud of today. as a femme i think it’s so important that we see and perceive butches not only as complimentary or opposite part of our identity, potential gf/bf, sex partners or lovers, but also as friends.

make butch friends without any intention beyond genuine friendship. hang out with butches, laugh with butches, talk with butches, take care of butches and let them take care of you.

we need to stop centring both our identity and butch identity around sex and love only. they’re our friends, family and the strangers in the street that brighten up our days.
