âHey⊠are you okay over there?â

âTook you long enough.â He said before looking up and making a face. âAh, sorry. Thought you were my sister.â`

âBeautiful isnât it?â Selena moved up beside someone in the aquarium where she worked. She was on break but she liked to sometimes look into the tanks when she was. This particular one was colavourites coral and fish everywhere. One of her favourites.
"Is there something on my face?" she asked turning to look at the other person keeping her virgin drink close to her sipping at it.

Sawyer sat on a bench in the park, watching as Gregory played in the sand. Going to the park wasnât his favorite of his fatherly duties but he knew it was important for his son to get out there and socialize with other kids. At least, thatâs what his own mother kept telling him. He watched as the kid next to Gregory, started to put sand in his mouth and he rolled his eyes, moving to pick up his son to save him from this kind of socialization. He hadnât realized how much force heâd used to pick him up and they quickly turned into someone, bumping them. âOh, sorry. Guess we didnât see you there.â
âDo you need me to come get you. I can be there in 10 minutes.â Bethany said running her fingers through her hair sounding frazzled. âLay down and just focus on your breathing.â she hung up as she sighed. Sheâd blown off the last four appointments with her fertility doctor but it wasnât like she could drop being a mom and she doubted Maggie could get to her phone. She just quickly shot a text to her wife about their kid being sick at school. She was rushing out of the doctorâs office trying to keep people from getting any look at her. She wasnât popular anymore but she still lived in this town her whole life and she didnât need word getting back to her wife. Not until she had more information.
âNo no. Fuck.â Persephone mumbled looking at their phone âNo no hush honey youâre fine.â they said going to grab their laptop as Kari started to become fussy. They hadnât expected to stay in the cafe long but they had just needed out of the house for a moment while they studied. Now though they needed to find a babysitter last minute and they didnât know who they could even talk to. âItâs okay Kari. Iâm here.â they whispered trying to sooth the baby before they bothered everyone around them.
@secret-startersâ Lynn was finishing up a mouthful of food when she turned her head and spotted them watching from their table. âWhat?â She laughed with some bits of food still in her mouth. Though, she made sure to swallow before continuing. âIs this not attractive?â She teased, doing her best to keep her expression deadpan before breaking out in a smile.
Daniel had been going through his phone, it was Brookeâs birthday and all he wanted to do was numb the pain like he had been doing since sheâs been gone. Noticing the last photo of all of them, they seemed happy. Maybe that had been fake on her end, and that was what caused him to throw his phone. Reaching for the bottle next to him. âHappy birthday, mum..â He muttered to himself. // @secret-startersââ

With Ameliaâs birthday right around the corner, Will was in his normal pitfal of depression. No matter how long it had been since her passing he still felt hollow and empty around this time, plagued by memories of what used to be happy times. After smelling the bakery and their fresh goods and recalling the last time he had brought her here for her birthday cupcake he found a quiet alley and rested his head on the wall. Today was just not a good day.

âPeople are idiots, I swear,â Lillia muttered as she sat down at the table with her fresh coffee in her hand. âSeriously. People should have to take a class on how to think or act in public.â
Brooklyn was sitting staring at her laptop screen but she wasn't focused on it or even doing anything. She was stressed out because of her parents and this whole therapy thing her mum had brought up to her that morning. She sighed, blinking out of her thoughts just in time to miss whatever the person had said to her. "Huh? Sorry, what?"
Avi moved through the A & E waiting room trying not to show how frazzled he was. Repairing a ruptured aorta was nothing for him but unfortunately there were no surgeries on the books today and there was an overwhelming amount of patients lining up to be seen so he was doing what he could to help out. Walking up to the first patient he saw, he motioned for them to follow him to an empty bed and grabbed the computer to start charting.  âAnd what brings you in today?â
âYou donât mind if I sit here, do you?â She wondered shyly, gesturing to the empty chair opposite them.
âWhat?â Angelisa looked up and made a face. âOh. No, Iâm fine, Iâm just⊠thinking.â
Brittany was sitting on the wall that lined the park, staring out over the grass. She was bored but not really paying attention to anything going on around her, too lost deep in her thoughts.
